Got one for the business - Cracking scanner, can't fault the end result. From a UI perspective they made a big play about the haptic feedback but.. have yet to fix error 167 where the feedback doesn't actually work. The last update on the customer portal was June and we're now in knocking on November.
yes, we have those available and plan to distribute them from our website directly, in the meantime, feel free to contact us at hello@peel-3d.com to get specific samples.
@@walperstyle Well, I have only used it a handful so far. for the projects we have used it on. The little stickers are key for some surfaces where the color is the same. It will get lost in the scan. Those dot reflectors change the whole game. Once they are on... things are very smooth. I can scan the things we need in under a half hour where other brands took at least 3 times as longer. This software is much improved over the other brand we were looking at. I am glad we purchased this scanner. For its price and its abilities. It is well worth the costs.
What about the color accurancy? Can I scan for example the armour of a samurai and have color fidelity in the resulting 3D model? The 3D model must be showed on the website of an art gallery.
Colors are calibrated on an artifact during the calibration process of the scanner and the scanner proceeds to a white balance when performing its own calibration optimisation. We do all we can to make the colors are realistic as possible but this device should not be considered a colorimetry device. You can find several samples on our peel 3d sketchfab account.
The specs, still confusing. 3mm hole, is that what effectively be measured, I mean ,will it measure 3mm in the 360 degrees perimeter,or instead it just can be detected but cannot be measured reliably. One thing is detect something with a know measurement of X , and a different thing is some of X diameter can be effectively measured that it has 3mm diameter.
We researched other scanners out there. I don't know where you have been looking but, this is a entry level scanner and it is really a step up from their competitors. Another brand we looked at started at 10k but would required two different scanners to do what this one does. So, for 15k with the auto cad. It is well worth it as a small business. other options are of a much higher cost and detail and they go well above 20k

Looks interesting, anyplace we can download a sample of the raw unretouched output?

The Device is good. The cable connection a nightmare. Please offer a wireless version.
We just purchased and can not wait for its arrival on Tuesday!
How is it working for you?

Did not expect such a high level of peel. Great video 🍌
Thanks, this means a lot!
Very interesting, does it use LiDAR? I didn't hear it mentioned, but I'd be surprised if it didn't, as LiDAR is so useful
Thank you! It uses an IR projector, technically it's similar to a white light except you can't see the light.

Hi, does is scan garments too? As for the export file, what type files can be exported? Thanks 🙏🙏
It scans a lot of things and can work with most fabrics and materials yes. The most typical export formats are stl and obj.
Time to max out the credit card
We offer payment terms by the way :)
Maybe worth it if you’re a pro but at 10x the cost of other scanners, this is not a hobby scanner!
True. This is a professional grade scanner.
