Just when you think the blues is down n' out, along comes a young savior. Kingfish, you're making tracks in the footprints of the great ones. God bless you, brother. Keep up the amazing work.
Kingfish please, please do the things right and still live a lot of time because I want that my kids could hear your amazing talent, I admire you, I love your music and I respect you
Beyond amazing, incredible, clear, ringing notes!!! And in a unique style! My dream is to see him live in the “ Blues Tent” at the next New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival !!!
Love his tone. I am just discovering Kingfish, but the full rounded tone he uses makes me think of Trower and Beck. Definitely has his own sound though. Always enjoy it when I find new real players. Thanks.
Norris, he can move over now. I like Joe but this kid is special. I think at times he could allow some of his great playing to breath but I detect more and more “room” in his playing and that’s great. Some would call it overplaying. Stevie Ray while great, did it as well. Spacing in a tune speaks loudly when deployed like a master. Miles Davis comes to mind
Would be a terrible thing to lose such a talented young guy because of his weight.I don't mean to sound rude .I just hope he has people advising him.Just love his playing though.
He's not just a guitar player and singer: He's an artist with all the charisma that entitlement provides. Is he playing through a Fender Twin Reverb? Where are his pedals? Don't tell me that he has none! What off-brand is that guitar? He rarely makes a mistake. He's got the natural voice for the blues; he ought, though, to get a few lessons to make it really pop. This guy has no equal now living, not Robert Cray or even Buddy Guy -- Buddy's guitar just doesn't scream, moan, and wail like this teenager's. (How would you like to follow his act? OMG! Like being on after Hendrix's set.) Er, white people, no offense, but, uh, you might want to sit down and quit embarrassing yourself. Just a thought.
Kingfish is a great player for his age . Only criticism I could give is he overplays a bit . Too many notes and too fast at times . He starts solos at full speed instead of letting them build. Bonamassa is also guilty of this . When he slows down and let’s the notes hang longer, he sounds so much better . If he mellows with age, he will be one of the greats for sure .
Everyone is entitled to their opinion. He should just play like himself. It's gonna take him around the world. Critics know so much??? show us what you mean with your playing.

not sure looks a lot like my deluxe reverb
I think from most of his videos I have seen he was using a Pevey Amp.
The irony of a guy wearing ear plugs to protect his hearing whilst his obesity signs his death sentence. What tragic waste of raw talent that will be.

Brad Sudeyko right now he’s eager to display his chops. But no doubt.

Keep in mind that he was only 18 when this was filmed.
There is no rules in music
Gord!! Why do you have to over analyze? Does it make you feel more intelligent? Just enjoy the playing and be thankful for this talent!
Holy smokes, y'all
