      Atom LT. They are awesome, I have about a dozen and literally live in them.

    Thanks for the great review! You covered a lot of details and it was good to see a review for the V3, many of the other CPL 28 L reviews are for the older version.
    The attention to detail and the interior organisation seem to be outstanding and as a lefty, Iove that they produced a mirror version.
    Overall, this really helped me to narrow down my search for a perfect backpack, the CPL 28L seems to be the absolute sweet spot.

      My pleasure. the 28L is great. I've been using my 24L a lot lately. Can't go wrong with either.

    Awesome review! Very cool backpack, I’m eyeing this backpack as my next one-bag travel backpack. But Chris, how’s the pDWR coated zippers performing so far? Still doubt these zippers as they are not YKK Aquaguard zippers. I own Peak Design Totepack (20L) with Zoom Zippers and Bellroy Transit Backpack Plus (38L) with YKK Aquaguard Zippers, this bag (28L) would be a perfect backpack for me. Greeting from Indonesia!

      @chris_shafer  Рік тому

      So far so good on the zippers. I don't think it'll be an issue unless you plan exposing the bag to a tremendous amount of moisture.

    Just ordered this exact model, wish the xpac was available tho. Will be using this for my one bag travels.

    Do the straps on this CPL 28 still slide off your shoulders? That’s the one thing that keeps me from buying another EG bag is the slick straps. I’ve been wondering if the new Ecopak material is as slick and suffers from same issue. The original EG material (Version 1), it was not slick and did not slide off. What’s been your experience?

    • @chris_shafer
      @chris_shafer  7 місяців тому

      I haven't noticed any issue with strap slippage. I've found their packs quite comfortable. Different body types though could certainly experience different results.

    Great review.. it helped me make up my mind to buy a CPL28L to replace my CTB35. 28L is the perfect size!
    I think it looks cleaner too without the water bottle pockets which I never use and not as bulky looking as the CTB35.

    • @chris_shafer
      @chris_shafer  Рік тому

      I agree, the CPL 28L is the superior bag overall. I've got a review on the CTB 35L coming soon and it definitely has its purpose, but I don't reach for it as much.

  • @masondahl

    Hey Chris, I was wondering how well the exterior side handle works for sliding over a luggage handle to keep the bag in place when traveling? That's the only thing holding me up from getting it, if you'd be able to test it I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

    • @chris_shafer
      @chris_shafer  Рік тому

      The exterior side handle is really just a grab handle for lifting it up when it is "briefcase" mode or when you are lifting it out of a vehicle or overhead bin. The luggage pass through is actually subtly integrated on the back panel and it works very well.

    Hello! Thank you for your great reviews, I really enjoy your channel. Can I please ask, what is your opinion between CPL28 and CTB26? given that CTB has two external water bottles and one extra zipper pocket in front? isn't that a better daily bag? thanks for your time.

    • @Nimargb
      @Nimargb Рік тому

      I also understand that the material of the CPL is now 840d compared to the 420d on the CTB, have you felt much difference and an important factor to move to the CTB? I'm pretty much torn between these two (CPL28 and CTB26) for my EDC and a bit beyond needs so really apprecaite your input. keep it going!

    • @chris_shafer
      @chris_shafer  Рік тому +1

      I own the CPL28 and I am absolutely ok with putting my sealed water bottle into the main compartment for every day use. I like its cleaner, neater profile for everyday carry. For traveling, weekend trips, outdoorsy stuff I do appreciate the exterior mesh pockets of the CTB35 (and therefore the CTB26). More often than not those mesh pockets end up holding sunscreen, snacks just as much as they do water bottles for me.

    Nice video! I have a few questions. Have you tried using this for small travel too? And have you compared this to the CTB 26 in capacity? It looks very similar, but don’t know if those extra 2 liters actually help or not.

    • @chris_shafer
      @chris_shafer  Рік тому +1

      I've used the 28L several times for domestic travel and for short weekend trips. It works great. I don't have a 26L to compare it to, but it definitely feels quite a bit larger than my CPL 24L. I would find it difficult to travel for more than a couple of days with the 24L, but could definitely do it with the 28L. I think the 28L is the perfect versatile bag. You get the extra room without changing the dimensions, proportions or appearance very much. It still carries like a small bag.

      @manueldelgado5336 Рік тому

      @@chris_shafer thanks for the answer! It seems like 28L is an excellent liter capacity. Have you tried other 28L bags, like the Aer Travel Pack Small? If so, which did you prefer?

      @chris_shafer  Рік тому +2

      I do like the feel of this 840D ballistic nylon 6 a little bit more than the X-Pac for every day use, but the X-Pac is undeniably cool. I also really love the 24L size of the X-Pac version that I have. Can't go wrong with either bag though.

      @@chris_shafer Great review! Is the X-PAC still available? Also, if not, I am having difficulty deciding btw the 24 or 28. Ultimately, would like something that I can carry on a flight, throw some gym clothes in along with my 17 MBP and other work accessories. Any suggestions?

    I don't see how making an edition for left-handed people makes sense when it comes to production costs. Nevertheless, lucky lefties got their Evergoods CPL version. I love my regular right-handed version. Side handle and vertical pocket are killer features.

    If your dog is shedding more than advertised, it could also be because of environment or food you’re feeding him.
