I have a link in the video description. Locally you find any auto parts store but it will be there own brand. Just ask them if they have a power probe as the may keep in the back.
Hello, I need your advice, after my son changed the starter, the battery light came on on the dashboard. It has a new battery and I took it to Auto zone to check the alternator and it read 11.86. My son bought the Ancel PB 100 but since we have to check where it is faulty. Thank you.
A brand new battery is going to read higher than 11.86 volts more like 12.6. He could have blown the flusible likes by accident when we was changing the starter. That’s why you always want to disconnect the battery before change out the starter or alternator. It actually has happened to me before ua-cam.com/video/NaR5gJdUOyg/v-deo.htmlsi=_HNBNZw1QSvAxjcE
Thanks for the video! Can a power probe be used as a circuit breaker to keep from blowing several fuses while looking for a short to ground? If so, how do I hook it up? What do I do with the auxiliary ground small black wire? Tx again!
I agree with Ed - really nice video! Question - what happens if you accidentally give power to a ground? Will the device blow up by the high current draw or is it fuse/breaker protected?
I just bought the Autel PS 100. It's litterally the same tool. I think these companies buy them from the same Chinese factory and then just rebrand them.
Yeah - apart from them being different sizes, different shapes, different colors, having different sized screens, LEDs the other way round, and a completely different cable set-up - they are identical!
Well before the bridge rectifier and regulator it actually produces 3phase ac voltage off the taps of the winding. around 70v or so. I think the last mode can be used to check capacitors but ill find out when i get mine. I think the ac mode is to check pulses in the circuit with the graph.
nice review ,no messing about straight to the point and informative, thank you i am thinking of buying one.
Ed, Awesome, thanks for the great feedback. _Randomfix
Thanks for the information
Glad to help
Great video!
Thank you for the feedback, much appreciated
I wasn't looking for this tool, but I'm sold. Now just need to find where I can get one locally. Thanks!

Sorry for the late reply! did you find a solution?

it will blow the device circuit unless the fuse in the vehicle is weaker, example is 5.0 amp fuse.
Does this work as well as a multimeter for testing if a part is good or bad ?
it can, but a multimeter is a lot more precise.
Ive got a digitech brand . I only use it on my two cars for relays fuel pump etc . Good unit but not durable at all. I need your type!
I have a duratech and swapped 2 times. The rocker switch is a problem.
good feedback, thanks for sharing.
Can power probe. Be used to crank a card that is dead?
crank a card?
I liked the review but pointing to V and saying current?
Sorry for the late reply! did you find a solution?
Nice video this price
I appreciate your constructive comments, thank you for the feedback!

Joe, you are probably right. I've noticed that same exact tactic with scanners.

You lost me when you said the "ac" setting was for the alternator. Lol
good catch, Ac alternating current.
