Thankyou for the inspiration. I am due to retire soon and planing my retirement. I just bought a 3018 to learn on and like it. I realise the toy factor but as a stepping stone it is a great learning tool. Studying fusion 360 and getting to grasp with the toolpath stuff. The kit you are building is what I intend to go with and your relaxed style suits my learning. Not too intense, but at a nice pace. I have liked and subscribed with bell and just working through your vids. I am a total newby but do arduino and basic electronics so can follow a lot of what is going on. I will soon be moving and will set up my workshop from scratch knowing what I wand/need. Basically I want to thankyou for the information you are posting and I am enjoying seeing someone doing what I want to do. Kind of like a mentor. Choice. Kind regards, from New Zealand.
Hi Sandy - I'm glad you like the videos. My wife says my videos put her to sleep, but I like the term "relaxed style" much better. If you are getting into CNC, then you will never run out of things to do in your retirement. Just keep learning and always look for something to get excited about in your projects. If you can find a way to help others along the way, then all the better!
well thanks for the info I already bought new kit 60x60 inches you're doing great, One thing I don't like with this cnc the lead screw I wish if I can upgrade it to 12mm instead of 8mm there is no Acme Nut Block for 12mm.
