    Brilliant assembly tutorial, unique style of moving forward by showing the each step executed, instead of like others who bore you by showing nuts getting tightened etc. Thanks a tonne for sharing this.

      You are welcome. One point I need to make - be sure to mount your Z-axis limit switch BEFORE you bolt everything together. It is nearly impossible to install that after the fact.

    Great Video! I have been collecting parts to build the Workbee 1010 from Openbuilds. With this kit I will save over $600 plus shipping. Looks to be the same kit less branding (logo). I've watched Openbuilds video on building the Workbee 1010, along with your video this should be a very easy build. There's a seller on ebay that sells "workbee CNC 1" taller Y plates. I watched your other video on how you removed option one spoil board mounting. You might consider the option two method. You can watch the Openbuild video on this. With your decision to just bolt/screw the machine to the table you might have trouble leveling your work surface. Unless the table you built is true and flat like in a "box table". I subscribed and looking forward seeing how you mount your router and any dust collection or dust boot/shoe. If you haven't checked them out yet Openbuilds has all the extra stuff you might need to complete your build including router mount. They have videos of all there products being installed on the machine.

    Awesome build Franco, nice video. When I started anodizing aluminum at home I found that the process adds 1 to 2 thousands to the material, depending on how long one anodizes something for. That can mean 2 to 4 thousands smaller hole (i.e. threads), hence the need to chase them. Good work!. Ciao, Marco.

    Hi again,this seems like a good place to get some help.I'm a long time wood worker building cabinets, furniture and in recent years a lot of models that I sell online.Have a laser machine been thinking about a CNC machine for some time so finally bought one.I got the Bulkman3D the complete kit with GRBL controller with the machine.I did some research have an electrical background but not with machinery like this so depended on the seller to guide me in the right direction and between the sale price and what it can do seemed ok for my needs.I put the machine together and between the instructions and Franco's video that was fairly easy went well.I wired the motors and switches to the machine no problem there but then we come to the circuit boards spindle controller etc and it became very confusing and frustrating there is so much info out there but nothing on exactly what I bought as far as the electronics and all the mini manuals I got with it are very disconnected not precise with the overall hooks up.I would really appreciate it if Franco or someone else who knows can tell me if I buy the Centroid cnc kit with the board,that has the motor connection,switch connections and router spindle connections and software is going to solve my electrical problems and make my life a lot easier.I know I have to build an electrical box with power switch,fuse and E shutoff switch .If I do that and hook up the kit will that work for me.I have the GDZ65F 1.5 Spindle and the YL620A 1.5 110V Router Controller.Thank you,Terry

      They are quite detailed. There is also a very good forum: centroidcncforum.com/viewforum.php?f=60&sid=5eba1438a0c0e09f9a124b9e54b6630a

    • @FrancoCNC
      @FrancoCNC  5 років тому

      I'll be honest with you, if I had it to do over again I would just buy the complete kit. I use the Centroid Acorn CNC system, so there are some "cheap" electronics that come with the kit that I wouldn't have used. But, it would have been easier to just have everything show up at one time.

    Where is this guy in Austria who's cat named Konstantin also came just over two get his breakfast while watching your video.
    Thank you for posting this, as I just weld something together from ball bearings, about same size like your peace here.
    I know you propose this fabulous Acorn board (this actually is how I found your channel), but here in Europe it is much easier to get good support with the eding-cnc and so I wanted to ask you if you have any experience with Eding CNC as well and what you think about it? This is a big decision for me and I hope you can help a bit?

    • @FrancoCNC
      @FrancoCNC  5 років тому

      Konstantin is a good name for a cat. Cats should have distinguished names - otherwise, people don't take them seriously. I've never used the Eding-CNC products. But, I looked at their website and it was very encouraging. I like companies that offer an integrated software/hardware solution. You have much better chances of everything working correctly. I'd call the company and talk with them for a few minutes - that's a good sign as to whether or not their product is any good. If they take the time to talk to you and answer a few questions, chances are their products will be good. Also, try to find an online forum dedicated to their product - if one exists that is a very good sign.

    Great video Thank you!. I have a couple ?? I just started putting together a 1500 x 1500... I noticed when u put the support rails together you used the higher version turning support on side. The instructions I found on their website shows the lower spoiler board option. Did you change yours to the lower version?? Also any chance of a wiring video??

    • @FrancoCNC
      @FrancoCNC  4 роки тому

      Hi. After I made the first couple of videos, I found that things seemed to be a lot better if I just made the entire table the work surface. The Z-axis has plenty of travel to reach the table surface and that gave me about 5 inches of working travel. I don't use any of the cross braces or brackets. I just fastened the router to a 4'x4' table top and then fastened some MDF to that to serve as a spoilboard. Works great!

      I have the router shown above and the dimensions including the servo's are 46" wide x 45" deep. Clearpath servo's are little shorter than standard stepper motors. If you were using Nema23 or Nema34 stepper motors I would add a couple more inches. I would do an inside dimension of at least 50" wide x 48" deep.

    I started assembling my 1000x750 today. I don't have a good feeling about how much resistance there is on the y-axis lead screw. It's not as easy to turn as I would like. Did you have resistance turning your y-axis lead screw? I plan on adding teflon grease later, so that will hopefully help but I'm worried about the required torque from the motors at this point. Thanks!

      Hi. Purchasing from China via eBay is super easy. I've made MANY purchases from China via eBay (and a few directly from Chinese business owners) and I've never had a single problem. eBay takes care of all the fees - nothing for you to pay beyond the normal eBay sales interface. As far as the bundle is concerned, it is my opinion to buy EVERYTHING in the bundle and then replace the components you don't want to use. That is cheaper (and easier) than buying the "bare bones" kit and then shopping for the other stuff that didn't come with it.
