Just to clarify one of my visuals, each small dash on the syringe is one unit, or 0.01 mL. So it's actually less than half of one of those small black lines. Math and numbers are not my forte lol
We moved into a rented house that we didnt know had lead paint. Having a daughter while we lived there one of her check ups she tested high lead levels. Within days the health department was in our home. They said it was the painted windows thet had been painted over and over. Us opening and closing these windows created a dust she was literally inhaling it. Our landlords were fined and we had to live in a hotel while they did lead ebatment. Thankfully our daughter is fine. I dont see how she is so calm i literally freaked out. Im normally very quiet but when it comes to my kids and grand babies (my kids are now adults😂) i lose my $hit. I would not be sitting there waiting for someone to fix the issues.
@@halli7367 THIS!!!! I'd be freaking out and trying to resolve it ASAP.
Yes , This should be the top priority for the health of children
Lead paint tastes sweet, so once a child discovers this, they keep eating it.

She can take the lead paint out herself and it won't cost much at all. But of course she has an excuse for everything. I would be bawling my eyes out if CPS had my children. Can't stand her!

It also happens in old homes. It certainly should never get to a point they are extremely ill as it should be checked at well child visits for elevated levels. If your kid has a elevated level they will give free testing and you paint over it. It's not rocket science.
A couple of things: she doesn't seem too upset by the delayed return of her Littles, and ummm, she bought an old house, and it never occurred to her to have the paint tested? I'm also questioning the amount she says it will cost, but what do I know...
@@crisbush2034 she lives in New York, so the sellers legally had to disclose the lead. She had to know.
I just don’t understand how this happens, the lead testing is mandatory at checkups , and in New York, a lead disclosure is required when you sell a home, there’s like no way she didn’t know.
It certainly baffling

As someone who owns an incredibly old house I get the issues that come along with it, I really do. As a mother I just don’t understand the lack of urgency to get dangerous issues taken care of, especially if my children were in the care of CPS.
I hope her kids recover from lead without long term problems. That is way scary! I wonder if she or anyone noticed symptoms? Poor babes.
I hope so too. She says that her 2 year old isn't showing signs (delays) and is very intelligent. I don't think she'd know what to look for, let alone care to look tbf

Homes/apartments built before the 60s have 100% lead paint in it unless updated. Homes built before the 80s are slowly doing away with lead paint. By 1978 most states(all 50) as the US government had already began or already banned lead paint. So the home she is living in has to be all original anything had changed since the 60s. 100% of homes that now have paint in them, has no traces of lead and all paint manufacturers have to test for lead to ensure safety by US standards for the government.
@@Katie-kn1np yep. Her house was a foreclosure. Possibly condemned.
@cursedreact which I believe. So her claim to had them changed by whoever did it, is false because most repairman companies follow US regulations. Heck, when I was moving into my first apartment, the landlord by law she said, had to tell me they tested the complex(was built in the 70s) for lead painting and found no traces after updating it
@@Katie-kn1np as far as I know, all renovations and repairs were done by her and her ex, Marty. Which is why this is still a problem. They cut corners.
@cursedreact I alot of corners was cut. If she was to sell the place, she would be denied
So I put on my investigator hat and I did some research on how much on average it would cost to paint an approximate 1,500 square foot house, interior window casings and trim with lead encasing paint for someone living in upper New York State. The cost is $1 to $4 per linear foot. Not including the cost of the paint. It would be from $500 to $2,500 American dollars for her to get the interior of her house sealed.
The reason for the large range of $500 to $2500 depends on how much prep work they have to do ahead of time. For example sanding of loose paint repairing trim, etc.
Also, I chose the 1500 square foot home because it's kind of an average size.
@@judymcinnis yep. My guess is because the paint is peeling and flaking, which might require more in-depth removal.
@@cursedreactthen it will most likely be at the higher end of $2,500. Even if more prep needs to be done than normal, I'll be generous and add another $1,000 on it. It's still only around $3,500. But if she wants to pay $10,000 I'll get my passport to go down there and do it myself for her.🖌️🎨😀
@@judymcinnis lmao I think there might be other things she needs to fix that she's not saying. Unless New York costs WAY more than Toronto 🤷♀️

wow she is such a mess, taking all the tylenol was just a clue as to what is wrong there, there is so much. doesnt she have older ones? how about them doing some work on the house? those messages are vile, i mean that is just so wrong.
People are always so naive when it comes to what CPS does and how they protect kids. Yes, she was never a good mum and the conditions these kids live in aren't safe - but I never expected her kids to not be returned soon-ish. Sadly, kids are returned to unsafe homes all the time. I witnessed children be sent home with their sexual abusers after the abuser took some parenting classes. CPS, in pretty much all countries, is a huge joke. I say this as someone who works in the system. It's frustrating and depressing sometimes. But from all we know I expect this person to get her kids back in the foreseeable future tbh.
@@mael2039 I imagine she will as well. From the sounds of things, foster care in her area likely isn't going to be better for those kids anyway, which is depressing 😞
@mael2039 that just sounds unreal but I know that it is. Hellish
In her latest videos she disassociates from the kids and hyper focuses on her looks. I think this is terribly painful for her. Her family is her tribe. This is how she is coping. I have a lot of compassion for her. I honestly pray that Alicia helps her out. It's probably 1 day earnings for Alicia to fix her roof.
It would not cost $10,000 to hire someone to do the painting-like 1/10th of that or less!
You don’t even need to hire someone you can do it yourself for under 100 dollars.
The $10k quote for lead paint "removal" sounds extremely high. I could understand if it was asbestos removal or something like that because you actually have to have professionals and specialized tools/machinery to safely and thoroughly remove it. I know this because the abandoned hospital/nursing home near my mom's house was bought a couple years ago and turned into a country club/golf course and it took them a lot of time and $$$ just to gut the place and remove all the asbestos before they could even begin demolition and they had to alert everyone within a mile or so of what was going on so people didn't go exploring over there and make themselves ill
@@AshatHome yep! I had to have asbestos insulation removed from my last house. Had to hire an environmental protection company. It was $10k for just my attic + roof reshingle (900 sq/ft house)
Why can't she look at the camera? The th sky? Left and right?
@@LaughingNaked can't face her lies? 🤷♀️
All this lead poisoning, Veronica continuously being ill....I'm wondering if homes in the US have access to Home Inspections like we have in Canada. Has the house been inspected for mold, wood rot, asbestos...know what I mean? These can all affect someone's overall health.
Personally, when I look at the house and the condition, I think here in Canada it would be considered condemned, no? 🤔
@@terrylynnlavoie776 they have inspections, but I don't know if they're required. I doubt she had one when she bought the property. She definitely has one from the health department, though. The house was a foreclosure. I'm not 100% sure if it was also condemned.
I don’t think she’s getting the kids back, specifically the one with lead poisoning bc she has severely neglected those little ones. I think she has monitored visitation which when kids are involved with cys, the parent has to pay for said visitation. It would explain why she’s posting more and putting on the crocodile tears.
She doesn't want them back she's out partying again today with another friend she's loving her new found freedom she'll drag it out with excuses until CPS have no option to put them up for adoption and then she'll be the victim once again saying CPS have stolen her kids from her and didn't help her

I made my comment before I saw the hate messages, and I totally agree! I don't believe picking paint would give the high levels found in that child!! Sending her those messages was horrible! Have your opinion but stop going rl and threatening strangers on the internet!!🤬
He'd have had to have eaten some of it a few times I think to reach the 3.5 mcg. And the fact that she talked about it like it was a common occurrence leads me to think she knew about it and didn't do much to prevent it
@@cursedreact agree!!
Lead paint tastes good to children and pets. It truly doesn't take much in tiny bodies. Also, depending on when the paint was put on, the older the paint, the more lead in it. My middle daughter had pica and started eating paint. I caught it early, but she still had to have chelation treatments. We had to get her iron up also. Lead causes iron anemia. Thankfully, her pediatrician was also my oldest from birth too, so he knew us very well, too well I sometimes thought. He did get a hold of the health because they needed to test our home. It turned out to be the porch. So we removed the old paint and put new paint on, no more problem.
@@TracyShead-Stamey I wondered about the possibility of pica for this child. I didn't know it tasted sweet (not planning on tasting it either lol)
BS. I have worked w a broken leg until I could be seen bc I was ran over by a horse the night before and it was Labor Day. I would’ve been fired. Doesn’t matter if I couldn’t walk. We weren’t allowed to be tested for c-19 at work and bc we would’ve been sent home and they NEEDED STAFF. @@traciprovins3221 I think a lot of people will relate to you. At this point it's been a few weeks since she left the ICU. I understand if she's still feeling a little woozy... It's the lack of urgency that gets me, I guess.
She is lazy. But - nobody should have to work in your conditions. That is terrible, sad, and horrifying. What world do we live in where people don't get paid sick leave when they are this sick? That's horrible and disgusting and the fact that you even got yelled at - that shouldn't be an example for how people can work under extreme circumstances - nobody should have to work under such circumstances. I do fully agree that Veronica is just lazy and needs to get her ass up. She could work. she could take a job that doesn't include physical exertion and she could put a lead-sealing paint on her windows if she took frequent breaks im sure. If that was my house, and my kids, I would be freaking out and not sit down until everything is safe
Ran across this channel while going down a UA-cam rabbit hole; it's so wild to me that a parent wouldn't immediately find a way to fix their child being exposed to lead. I remember how cautious everyone was when I was growing up about what we put in our mouths/came into contact with, especially if it was a paint or dye product. I hope that the child has no long term effects from this; lead can do some horrible things to the body.
Glad I found you, I love your visuals and music! What song do you use for your into and outo?
@@NanoNeoNarwhal yes! It's a bizarre reaction to her youngest having lead poisoning. I honestly think part of it has to do with mental maturity. Her mom wasn't very attentive and she was also raised in a proto(now) hoarder house.
And thank you! I forget the song name. I got it from my filmstock subscription.
Yes in nys they test for lead at the drs both my kids had the test at yearly check ups. lead is very bad for kids. so it was probably in the house when she bought it. which should be illegal
They should not pick in people who can't afford a nice home, my home is crappy, not all of us are fortunate to have a good home, even if we do work.
The problem is the black mold and the lead in her house. Its really dangerous for the children, especially Donnie who just survived cancer.
Veronica spent a whooping 10.000 $ on Xmas gifts instead of getting her house fixed.
@@charitygarcia8568 it's one thing to purchase a fixer-upper because it's affordable and another to do so, knowing it's filled with health concerns (black mold, water damage, lead, etc) and then not take steps to rectify those things before moving your small children in. It has nothing to do with affording a nice home and everything to do with making sure that home is safe to occupy.
