Lort.. that baby is crawling in it’s sleep cause it’s uncomfortable sleeping on the floor. Baby doesn’t have a specific place to sleep so yea baby is going to crawl around if baby wakes up in the middle of the night. Get the “climbing baby” a Montessori floor toddler bed and when the baby starts crawling out of bed put the baby back in bed until baby learns to not crawl out of bed. It’s a very simple concept and with her having 12 kids you’d think she would know this.. problem is, she does know all of this. She just doesn’t want to do the work that comes with parenting.
These kids look filthy in this video. Especially that poor baby sleeping on the floor. We got my daughter a floor toddler bed for $50. There is no reason for him to be sleeping on a hard, dirty floor. Also, her excuse for it is ridiculous. Saying it’s better than him climbing out of his crib and roaming the house at night? Yeah. My husband and I are on a tight income, but - all our children have their own beds LOL. So her money excuse is lame. And also the excuse of a dirty bed is lame too. CLEAN IT! I don't know if Modi is a active baby when he's sleepy HOWEVER, there's no excuse to not at least move that sweet little fella to a crib or bed after he falls asleep.
My heart is breaking for these poor children. They need help. But even if CAS gets involved there is a chance the kiddos would be placed in worse homes. They also definitely would be separated. I was in CAS care from 10-17 and they would place me in some really awful places. I was called a paycheque quite frequently. These kiddos need love, need their needs met properly, and need a damn routine. Veronica seriously reminds me of some foster mothers and group home supervisors I had. Or like Miss Hannigan from Annie. But even those orphans had more of a routine than these children. I won't go full into anything I experienced in care, but I will say that these children will need therapy. They will likely do things for mother's attention when they're teens/adults like drugs, alcohol, smoking, etc (the older ones likely got more attention from her than the younger ones). There is a chance they could get into abusive or unloving relationships because they likely don't know what a healthy relationship looks like. I've seen it happen with people I was with in the system. I sure hope they don't turn out like that. But it's a chance. I've seen it happen. It's heartbreaking. Veronica is in her own little world. She will never realize what she is doing is wrong. Nobody, not even her own children, will ever be able to reach her and get her to change. She's got a mental block and she won't ever see that she is in the wrong. One last thing, there are Facebook groups that give away free furniture and whatnot, it's how I furnished my apartment. She could get a toddler bed for nothin if she cared.

Though honestly my sister took care of us for a week once when she was 16 (so she was taking care of me who was 6, our 3 year old brother, and our 14 year old brother was there too) and we were fed WARM food, bathed, and in bed by 7:30pm. If a 16 year old can do it right a 36 year old should be able to you know? It hurts me heart.
I'm sorry you had to experience such a crappy childhood. When I was in my teens I would sneak foster kids into my attic bedroom so they'd have a warm, safe, clean place to sleep and I'd feed them. We had a storage area behind the walls in the attic. So it was literally a little hidden bedroom off of mine. My parents were hippies and functioning alcoholics. So they just thought I was having friends over all the time. Lol

So so many of us need something like that. I had my boyfriend now fiancé but so many other girls I knew had nobody. I just know you are a lovely human being and I wish you all the best in life. I don’t know who this woman is, but I strongly disagree with responsibilities of parenting falling on older kids. The teenagers are not parents therefore they shouldn’t have to do anything that is 100% the Parents role and responsibility. As someone who has five younger siblings, and has had a lot of parenting duties unloaded on me, I would never do that to my own kids. Don’t have so many kids if you don’t want to take care of them. Give them up for adoption or surrender them to the state, But for god sake, don’t expect your 16-year-old to raise your eight-year-old
I think when the older teens are babysitting the younger kids, like her 23yr old daughter...they should make sure the younger kids are bathed, put in PJs, fresh diapers and put to bed at a decent time. Plus mess picked up. If you pay someone to watch your kids to go out, you would expect them to do all that and not come home to your kids running rampant throughout the house and nothing picked up and put away. Her oldest daughter could make sure her child was at least put to bed at a decent time, why couldn't she do the same for her siblings, at least the baby that's close in age to her child?

The toddler bed that she is talking about, was made for Donnie her toddler,he shares a room with his brother, and it isn’t even a proper bedroom, it’s a room off of the side of the living room and it has no doors which is fine. But her toddler sleeps with her in the bed now, which is the one that had cancer. And I can understand that . Regardless, I have seen a pack n play in there house and she still has that poor baby on the floor
Some things you said are vaild but other things seem kinda judgmental if its not exactly how you would do it or not understanding the perspective of a mom of several kids compared to one child.
I would lose my mind if my kids didn’t have a routine at night..you can very much tell that is a normal occurrence, otherwise she would be scrambling around to get everyone dressed for bed and chill. I cannot believe she went and laid in her bed while all the other kids are going apeshit in the living room along with the BABY. 14 months is no toddler, that’s a baby! You know on Tania Licciardo-Toivola’s channel her granddaughter has slept on a hardwood floor since she was a newborn!!! That’s terrible. There are several instances in videos where she makes extremely rude comments to this 18 month old. She still breast feeds her five or six year old son. She was breastfeeding four of them until one was I think 8. The ages listed on the current videos are not correct. You have to go back to the very first videos to figure out their real age. Oh and OMG their names are atrocious. It’s like they have a cult in their own house. The father is quite older and not involved at all with the children. Their oldest son married his cousin and lives in Finland. The mom is originally from Finland and moved to Australia as a child. After she was married and had 5 children, they moved to Finland and had 5 more. Now they’re back in Australia except the oldest who married his cousin. I have INFO!
This was pretty harsh 😬 When I went on panel with Onora she shamed me because my toddler was awake at 1am yelling about her tablet. Many parents are lax with bedtime. Some kids fall asleep in all kinds of crazy places. A peaceful bedtime routine is not always possible when you have multiple kids screaming and acting wild. My kids are wild and never want to go to bed because my autistic son has sleep issues so they also dont want to calm down. Its not the end of the world. I am not sure nitpicking her bedtime routine has much purpose 🤷🏻♀️
I think you have a valid point in terms of how the words could come off, but (and I'm not a mom so that's also why I feel less subjective about it) I took her wording more of as focusing on context for what the kids were being punished for and This Mad Momma being shamed for punishing the kids because of not having a bedtime routine as a reason basically. If she wasn't talking about it in context of what the kids were being punished for I would absolutely agree with you because that is a valid point to make..... My son who is also autistic is up at midnight dancing to the moon, So we are up much of the night for playtime. I live his schedule and we make it work.
Also... if the excuse is he would roam the house what is different about him being on the floor 🤔 its just pure avoidance with those excuses! One last thing I promise, its the sheer fact she not only did this but SHE SHARED IT that concerns me, she thinks thats just dandy clearly and thats where I get concerned more. I feel she needs proper parenting classes and help, but she just keeps digging her heels in like an toddler being stubborn- its hard to help someone like that 🙈

I have question...late I know but here goes.....she says the floor is safer than his bed. A mattress on the floor should be just as safe. Then she said he would get up off the mattress. Then why does she not worry about him getting up off the floor? Make that make sense...i guess I am just a weird mom. My son...now 36...had a schedule. In bed every night at 7:30. He slept till 7. Had a bath every night. My husband and I had a good 3 hours to ourselves before he had to go to bed to be up by 4:30 for work. It isnt hard to get a routine going if you start early...she is just lazy...plus he was only allowed 2 things at a time from the toy box. Made it easy to take care of things...which he did himself at the age of 2
