Hello,i am recently hunting for a new grad role as well and would love to know what type of coding questions you get asked for? For new grad, do they ask you a lot of Tree and Graph problems? These are my weaknesses at the moment and i am trying to allocate my study time in different subjects. Thank you in advance!
Love how transparent you are. I've gotten rejected hundreds of times (it's the saddest when you make it to the final round and then get rejected), so I can definitely relate. Really happy about your final offer, you definitely deserve it!!!
Hey could you please share the link for the spreadsheet you used for keeping track of all the job applications 😅 I would be pursuing my masters in Cs in the US starting next FALL. It would really help!!! Thanks a lot 😊
Congrats Jeffrey!! I wonder what is ur resume looks like now, it's like u said u polished it for 30 times. So will u guide us through ur resume or how to prep the resume and all. Thanks and cheers
Hi! I don’t think I have much time recently to do that because I’m in my last term of university and it’s been quite busy. But when I got time that’s would be an idea!
Found your vid in recommendation, seems the algorithm is starting to notice you. Keep it up man, maybe you can make a video on what you did in college and experiences
Question: Im applying for jobs and having a similar issue. Im receiving OA's for internships but not for full-time jobs. How did you get employers to look at you without your degree?
Hello - thank you for making this video. It's okay to get rejections, the most important thing is to learn and move on. Past few months I was testing my ability in speaking with recruiters and hiring managers, the experience of the rejections that I got was very daunting however I learned a lot while participating in the interviews.
I think that a lot of new grad positions have descriptions that cast a really wide net because they know they aren’t going to find people with exact experience. They end up getting so many applications because of that. Which is good for them as they can filter for people they want. They are actually looking for something specific but it’s sort of hidden from you and not in the description. Some people fit some people don’t. And thus everyone is doing the same thing applying to many roles and getting rejected for most but having luck with only a few companies just different ones from you. I don’t believe there are people having super luck unless they have a very particular skill set and are only applying or rather getting recruited for a few specific roles.
Hey Jeffrey! Congrats for your new Job. I'm sending this message from Colombia 🇨🇴. I'm also a Software Engineer, and I will like to know your main tips for this type of interviews and the best path for preparing it. Thanks and again, Congrats!
I think the most important thing is get really good at algo and data structures, like in my interviews I used graph algorithms extensively. I also used max and min heap. So yea these are important. After that you need to get familiar applying these in coding questions, so practice leetcode a lot!

Thanks! Rejection hurts but don’t think too much about it.
@@jeffreysong7413 I can't decide what hurts more: getting rejected by companies or by girls. I'm trying to find some cute girls on GitHub, any advice?
@@browntechdaddy lol. I would say girls. But i dont have experience looking for girls on GitHub, so good luck there!
@@jeffreysong7413 Thank you, I definitely need some good luck
Congrats on your job!
