    I have that same Vulcan welding cart. I can't believe I never thought of orienting two welders side by side across the SHORT way! I only saw side by side longways, so I had my MIG welder where its access door opened towards the tanks. Turning it 90 degrees like you have it so the access hatch opens to the same side as the cabinet doors and the front cables come out over the handle gave me a better idea where to place the cart in my garage, too.

    Thanks so much for this. I plan on getting into welding for some projects and this helps me understand what I may need or what is possible.

    Nice shop. Yes I would be interested in seeing a video on your improvements to your plasma table setup.

    Hello fellow new UA-cam Maker! I’ve got a nice big space I’m working on turning into a proper workshop and it’s great to see how other people are setting up their home shops.

      @@splysed I'm doing a series right now as I add each piece. Hopefully it'll be in a semi-complete state by the end of the year for a complete overview!

    Bring on the projects. Keep the outtakes(love watching those on Cutting Edge Engineering in Australia, too).

    Nice little shop setup, bud! Definitely looking forward to seeing some of the projects you crank out!
    Im currently in the process of actually setting my garage up to fab stuff at home. But I'm a welder by trade and I feel like if im not building something i might go crazy 😂

      Thanks and I agree about not building something! I always need to have a project going. I am finding out that filming them makes them take a lot longer. Should have something to share soon though.

    Really nice setup you have, would love my shop to look like yours :) I do have CNC plasma as well, which I have made myself.

    Very pleasant to watch a shop tour video where the guy making it ISN"T waving his hands around as if he were directing traffic , ( very distracting and annoying ) ... Anyway , good job and nice setup ...

    Welcome, I love my Crossfire table. That compressor is more than enough for the plasma table, but it must make the blast cabinet painful to use... lol

    • @splysed
      @splysed  11 місяців тому

      You got that right! Unfortunately, I bought the compressor before the blast cabinet and its definitely undersized. It runs continuously so I am always having to stop to give it time to cool down. Now I have an excuse to buy new equipment...

    • @bretthays2674
      @bretthays2674 11 місяців тому

      @@splysed It's crazy the volume of air you need for blasting. I have two 60 gallon compressors each rated 10cfm@90psi and it's just barely enough. If I run the cabinet at 60psi and continuously blast for over 30 minutes both of them will be running all of the time.

    Nice shop. That welding table looks a little low. You might get a sore back bending over that on a project. 😉

    • @splysed
      @splysed  11 місяців тому +1

      Thanks! It is a little low but I do quite a bit of welding while sitting so its not too bad. I might have to fab up some adjustable legs.

    Where did you source the fixture table from?

    • @splysed
      @splysed  11 місяців тому +2

      I got it from LETIPTOP Machine Tools. They have fixturing as well. www.china-weldingtable.com/welding-table/

    I might have missed it, but how big is your shop?

    • @splysed
      @splysed  10 місяців тому +1

      I can't believe I forgot to mention that. Its a 24'x24' 2 car detached garage. We still park one car in it so everything is on wheels to move to one side after I finish working. Thanks for asking.

    Nice shop, but you really wasted much wall space with the “cool” signs. I suggest you rethink that. You’re going to find that you’re accumulating tools and will need the wall space for that.
