Thanks for answer, Brian. I've now started practicing this piece.. The ending is by far the most tricky part. I think you play the piece really nice, and I listen to this version as often as I can:) ! Great. Well done, both of you.
I've heard professional musicians disdain both Anders Koppel and mallet percussion as a whole. I can't see why... the emotional scale of Koppel's work alone is huge. I'm particularly fond of his Marimba concerto. It just shows how far people are willing to go to feel special.
guys, I really like your playing! good job. I am sure those two "dislikes" are from very jealous people. =) are you still a performing duo? if so; good luck with all and rock on!
WoW!!!:))) Das habe ich auch gespielt (Vib.), wahnsinnig schwierig ist die Stimme und das ganze sowieso technisch und musikalisch, also Gratulation Euch beiden!!!
The piece does fit on a 3-octave vibraphone. Colin used a larger keyboard, but only 3 octaves are necessary.
I almost started applauding alone in my house. This is fantastic!
Super playing! Awesome sound recording. Just fantastic all around!!!

I was using the old Malletech Friedman DF16's. Unfortunately, they don't make them anymore.

What vibe mallets did you guys use on this? Sounds great throughout the registers!
which type of vibraphone mallet did you use in the video?
Greetings!
For the vibraphone part, do you need to go lower than F? Or can you do it with a 3 oct, vibraphone?
How did the two of you divide the parts between music? You guys are awesome!!
Thanks! Yes, we just played from the original score, which is available from Steve Weiss Music and many other retailers. Thanks for watching!
