Hey! I am Percussion at Suny Fredonia, and me and buddy of mine are obsessed with this song. Would it be possible to tell us where you found the music to purchase it?
Hello Brian, do you mind if I play cajon and darbuka of top of this video? I have some cool ideas for this, it will be playing on video and your video will be shown as well. Thanks
Hello Brian, do you have any marimba duets that can be played on 4 1/3 octave marimba. the school in our area don't seem to have 4 1/2 or 5 octave marimbas. any suggestions would be helpful.
As far as I know, the only way to get this is still from the composer directly. You may contact Adi Morag by emailing moragadi (at) gmail (dot) com. I noticed their website is down right now...not sure if you'll get a hold of Adi or not. Good luck, though!
We used NJZ6 and NJZ4 (lowest mallet) by Innovative Percussion for the outer sections. For the middle section the blue mallets are She-e Wu (WU4) and the red are Kevin Bobo (KB11, by Malletech). Hope that helps!
Hi guys ! I'm thinking about building my own wooden vibraphone, but first, can somebody tell me the difference between Xylopfone, Vibraphone and Marimbas ? how the notes position works, it's like the piano ? and another thing, the tubes that go down and almost touch the floor are amplifiers right ?
+André Lourenço Vibraphones are not made of wood. I think you have your instruments mixed up. Xylophones are small and made of wood. They have high pitched bars that you play with hard mallets. Marimbas are essentially larger versions of Xylophones. The instruments in the video are marimbas. Vibraphones are made of metal and have a pedal to dampen the sound of the notes. When you push the pedal with your foot, the bars ring. When it is up, the bars have a short, non-ringing sound. The tubes are technically called resonators, but amplifiers isn't wrong.
am mbaalu fred , a xylophonists from Uganda. I do love playing xylophones. and wants to share with you some xylophones ideas and also to challenge you hhahahah. thanks
Yeah!!!!! Very good work :)))
Congratz!
Thank you!
Well done. Cool piece. Great execution
This was recently performed at our percussion recital. An amazing piece. Crowd pleaser. Your performance is stellar! Great work, as usual
your duo should commission more pieces comparable to this one :) seems like such quality literature is hard to come by!
Tempo: 66.6
I learn from watching your videos! Thanks, Evan!
this is my favorite piece of music
Thanks! Those are Innovative Percussion's Zivkovic mallets. NJZ6, to be exact. Pretty heavy/beefy mallets, but they do sound great!
Very nice performance!!
BRAVO
Both parts are equally difficult. Thanks for watching!
Also, what mallets were you two using..they sound great!

Which part would you give to the more advanced player?
