- A blast of an outing where we hop around Southern Florida's vast canal system, catching a few of the amazing, wild and exotic fish it has to offer.

That looks like a TON of fun! I'll put the Canals of Southern Florida on my 'bucket list'!! Great Video man.
Oh it's a ton of fun, for future reference just know that these canal fish aren't as easy to catch as they seem in UA-cam videos, thanks for the support!
Awesome job! That really makes me wanna visit south Florida lol
Thank you, south Florida has an excellent fishery!
My secret to always catching fish in those canals. 1st a casting net 2 catch live bait..2 keep the bait alive..3 a small kayak>> u can do alottt of exploring all over The Glades...always Free Line ur live bait...ur guaranteed 2 catch fish
Thanks for the tips, I have a lot of learning to do regarding south Florida fishing. Hoping to have my kayak down there later this year, and a cast net is definitely on the list.
Roses are red,
fishes are blue,
i cant think of the rest,
So this’ll do
Beauty berry plants, the leaves are great for mosquitoes. The berries have an astringent smell. I have a large river in my backyard and mosquitoes are everywhere. Hope this helps you out.
Great to know, I’ve seen those around and they are definitely true to their name, but didn’t know they were a natural mosquito repellent. I’ll have to try using it sometime, thanks for the helpful tip!
Gavin Hello from Kentucky. The bits are dead here. glad your having luck
Hey, I appreciate it, hopefully the bite gets better for ya!
Alright I'm coming down to south Florida tomorrow for 5 days. I'll be turkey hunting in big cypress but I'm really hoping to find a few canals or culverts to fish exactly like this. No idea where to go exactly but I'm sure there's a million little spots full of fish. Peacock bass is my target
Awesome, Big Cypress is a beautiful place and its been pretty nice down here. You shouldn't have a hard time finding spots to fish, keep an eye on Maps/Google Earth, hope your outings are successful.
Great video. Ill be in Naples in February. I'm hoping to check a tarpon and an Oscar off my list.
Thanks, you should be in for a great time in Naples. Tarpon and Oscars are awesome fish. Keep in mind Oscar’s are very slimy but have serious spines on ‘em, just a word of warning. Good luck!
Great video, thanks for taking us along this fishing trip
@@everperez8538thank you, you’re welcome

supa coul!
2.4 thousand views that's amazing. Long time no see.
Hey there
Capt Ron's insect spray!!! But it online thank me later.
I’ll have to check that one out, thanks for the suggestion!
Florida canals are like fishing saltwater, you never know what you are gonna catch
I agree, there are so many species. Say what you will about the exotics and nonnatives, but they make for some surprising catches.
More peacocks closer to Miami. Not sure how deep you guys are
So I've heard, I would like to head all the way over some time for some fishing. Fortunately, we've been able to find peas that are fairly local.
So sick! What spot is that bro🤣
I don't remember
Man that looks fun...tight lines from Rhode Island! Was that a fish anything mule minnow you were using? And what rod if you don't mind me asking?
Yeah that was a white Mule Fishing Mule Minnow 3.2. The rod I was using is not made anymore and I can't find it anywhere, but its a 6'6" medium, fast action. Tight lines man!
Try off deep woods dry works wonders for me
I've tried it before, might have to try it again. I appreciate the suggestion!
Gotta get a thermacell for the bugs brotha
I will have to look into that, thankfully I haven't found the bugs to be too bad right now during the winter/dry season, but sometimes they are a pain. Thank you for the suggestion!
Bushman’s bug spray mate I live in Australia and nothing touches me with it
Thanks for the recommendation!
Heading down that way from Louisiana, would you care to send me a pin where I can fish off the dirt roads? I fished tamiami but off that crazy hwy and I'll have elderly dad with me so I want to get off the road. Thanks for any help
I hope you will be understanding of the fact that I do not share any pinned locations. However, I can try to help the best I can without sharing a specific location. Many dirt road spots we found had an open area for fishing access. These were secondary roads off of Tamiami and generally at culverts or bridges where water could pass under the road. Other spots with good access are the boat ramps on I-75. I don't know how familiar you already are with these but they are generally safer to fish since your back is to a parking lot rather than moving traffic.
Aquarium water.
Might as well been, with as much tropical fish we saw.
Where's this at. Coming to Naples this weekend
Man, I just left Naples and flew up to Michigan. Now I don't post exact fishing spots but these are open areas along the two main highways that run through south Florida and that second spot is just one of the many public boat ramps along I-75. Definitely map out some canals around where you're staying with google earth, places with high flow will generally have the best fishing. Also, don't overlook spots to do some wade fishing inshore. My buddies and I have been able to find some good speckled trout so far this winter. Tight lines!
Where is this spot located? I’m going fishing this weekend down the Everglades
I am not willing to share this spot, however the best advice I can give is use google earth to find nearby canals. Spots with stronger current are usually where the larger fish hang out.
Google boat ramps in the Everglades and you’ll find his “super secret” spot. What an asshat
Bunch peacock on 41 before miami
Ever see any Pacu?
I haven’t seen any around here, but that would be a crazy find!
Have you ever caught a manatee
Only when they're in season.
@@GavinGalka manatee season just opened back up but you have to wrestle them bare handed
@@Thebrokenheartsbrigade My Manatee wrestling days are over, I've moved on to simpler things.
7:24 i would've feed the invasive species to the gator. i don't put invasive fish back into the water.
Due to current state law, I would have to advise against that.
Where is this?
I will not fully disclose the spots in this video but the second place is just one of those boat ramps along the south Florida canals.
Care to share the location of that spot? I live down here
I will not make the location of this spot public, I hope you will understand.
@@GavinGalka no worries, can you send it privately and I’ll keep it private?
@@iammewhoareyoud-b9749 I appreciate your understanding, but I will not disclose any spots fished on my channel publicly or privately.
@@GavinGalka no worries, thanks for your response
@@iammewhoareyoud-b9749 if you need help finding spots like these i can look for you just gimme a location, there very easy to find on maps and stuff i caught a 44 inch snook in lake chobee at one of the very many spillways
