I’ve built this one and it takes a little work. I don’t know why hasegawa kits have that tendency to not fit just that tiny bit but once completed they look good. The Eduard parts give it that boost in the right areas.
Yeah- you're definitely right about Hasegawa. They're just short of great. Agreed on the Eduard extras- gotta push those kits over the line! Thanks for watching!
Morning John, that was a great review on this VERY British aircraft I would like this in my stash, but since my wife and I are both retired and and home all day, there is no way I can sneak it home, oh well such is life, I would like to wish you and your family a Very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year, best regsrds from a Kiwi living in Melbourne Australia, Les
I built one of these and loathed it all the way - the Eduard parts and decals are lovely (as per), but the Hasegawa base is dated and ill fitting. A new manufacturer (UMa) is bringing an AV-8B to market in 1/48 and will likely follow with other Harrier variants. I’m optimistic
@ when you come to build this, my one piece of advice is to use the original outrider gear end and wheels rather than the Eduard resin ones. The resin gear is just too fragile
Nice kit and there's not that many harrier builds on y.t . I bought the Has boxing but sold it . Will buld one though as she's an Awsome aircraft . Thanks for the review's John . M
I love the Tamiya color spreads that you framed and hung on your wall.... very nice artwork indeed.
@@malaudisa thank you! They're so nice- why waste them? A lot of model manufacturers provide them in kits now. Thanks for watching!
The great thing about that boxing is you get the option of both the 65% and 100% LERX. The standard Hasegawa kit only has the 65%
I did not know that! Thank you for watching.
It must be just like me cos my mum said I'm special too.
Keep up the great content mate
Lol- thanks very much!

Just built the Hasegawa AV-8B Plus USMC version and you get a good Harrier but it is a slog with fit .
I have this Eduard boxing too.
Yeah, I kind of figured this would be a challenge to get a clean build. Thanks for watching!

Thanks very much Les! Merry Christmas to you and your wife! See you in 2025
I've been looking for a reasonably priced boxing of this....hard to come by.
@@leew8812 believe it or not I got this for $20! I'll spend more for resin exhausts.
@@MisterGsWorkbench no f'ing way man !That's the steal of the century !

Yeah- I saw that new kit coming. I'm willing to deal with the Hasegawa kit, so I'll have to see what comes of this newer kit. Thank you for watching!

Thanks very much Martin- this looks like it'll be an interesting build. Only other thing I need is resin exhausts. Appreciate you watching!
Just a comment for the algorithm
Merry Christmas to you sir!
@MisterGsWorkbench Have a merry Christmas as well.
