    Ok guys, I see a lot of people in the comments of this video bashing the Furiosa movie before it even got released.
    I didn't respond to most of the comments as I wanted to see the movie first.
    Now that I finally got to see it, I am more than happy to confirm that Furiosa is probably the movie of the year along with Dune 2 - that's how good it is.
    It shows some new unique stunts and explores the world of Mad Max.
    I know the blame for these comments is partly on me because of a 'catchy title,' but if you watched the whole video, I expressed confidence that George Miller would do a good job in the end - and boy, he did.
    Soon, I will make a new video to explain what makes this movie so good.
    Let me know in the comments if you already watched Furiosa and if you liked it. 👇👇

    Fury Road was written with Mel Gibson's Max in mind, he was supposed to be old in that film however they decided to recast the role feeling that Gibson was too old to pull it off convincingly plus, the actor was in a bit of hot water around the time of production
    Edit: Furiosa was actually supposed to get her story told in an animated film which was intended to be released alongside Fury Road however, due to budget concerns that idea was shelved.

    Prequels in general are just a bad idea. They rarely add anything new and cant do any major changes to established movie lore or it creates a paradox. No matter the situation they put Furiosa in we know she cant die. Also, Hemsworth looks like Whistler from Blade, especially in the one sheet. That CGI looks really really bad, it looks worse than Dial of Destiny crap. I guess they will de age Hardy for an end cameo or something silly like Rogue One.

    In a movie series where you have the same actor playing completely different characters you probably don't want to think too much about the actual time line. Anyway my hypothesis as to why this movie flopped is that the title: Furiosa A Mad Max Saga is too close to Mad Max: Fury Road. I think that a lot of people thought that they had just released the same movie again. It just didn't do enough to differentuate itself from Mad Max: Fury Road and just came across as a derivative product. The sad thing is that if you consider Miller's age this is likely going to be the last Mad Max movie that we're ever going to get and Mad Max wasn't even in it. What was the point?

    • @Mad_Max_World

      Even if we don't get another Mad Max movie, at least we got an expanded view of a world. Not just car/bike chase unlike other movies. George did a fantastic job with Furiosa, and the most of the budget came from Australian goverment, so even if it flops we might still get another movie

    That thing with 45 years after the collapse is way more complicated, let me explain.
    I think that what they meant by the collapse is not the apocalyptic nuclear war, but the beginnig of the end, when the people started making small riots, tension between the countries started rising and the oil wars start. The only war there was, were the oil wars, wich is a collection of small but significant normal wars not nuclear ones, wich were fought since before Mad Max 1 and during Mad Max 2. The true nuclear war is the water war wich isn't that old, being present somewere between Mad Max 2 and thunder dome making it at most 20 years old by the time of Fury Road. It is also important to note that Mad Max one dosen't take place in such a functioning society, I mean why do you think there is this MFP to begin with?

    • @Mad_Max_World
      @Mad_Max_World  11 місяців тому +1

      That is definitely a good point, and it goes well with a Mad Max 2 intro.
      And yeah, MFP was like the last attempt to make some effective police.
      It's still weird though, why did they have to mention those 45 years in the intro? They could just mention the rest, but I guess it's George Miller playing with us :))

    Another point should've been added is: It's worldwide oil crisis, so what's with all the monster trucks that consume 1 mile per 1,000 gallons?! Make very little sense. Recall "menthane" in Thunderdome as a background. Any Mad Max should've been storyboarded against an application of solar energy or back to riding horses or bicycles!

  • @lisamaitland157
    @lisamaitland157 7 місяців тому +1

    Lets not forget Max's interceptor was destroyed, it's why he had a truck being pulled by camels in Thunder-dome. The Thunder-dome time line all gasoline was gone, and only alternative fuels were starting to sprout up. Which means when Master Blaster fixed Max's truck, it would be running on methane only now. Max's story's are always told because Max was already dead, and the survivors that got the honor to run into him had interesting tells about him. The children of thunder-dome already had a generation of children and were telling the story about him. "not to mention lighting the city so if he was still alive he could find his way home" "Mad Max world is correct on his age, although he would be dead between 65-90." life span would be very similar to early western days if not worst" During Roadwarrior, fuel was no longer being produced at all, all shipments to Australia with oil stopped. The refinery in roadwarrior only had 1 pump, this would not be enough for full recovery, it's why they were storing it up to trek out of there. They knew the well was running dry, this had happened on a global scale of Australia. This is why everyone was stealing fuel out of captured\destroyed cars.. From what i understand was near the end of the first madmax movie, the off shore wells no longer were pumping oil, they seized up from lack of power after the bombs dropped. The comfortable living we saw in the first movie was on borrowed time, As other areas of Australia lost power and fuel. This is when gangs of fuel thieves would start to venture out. "Roadwarrior" On a bad note, it takes a lot of power to operate a pump station. "E=mc2" The pump station in the Roadwarrior must have been losing 20% of their fuel to maintain power and minimal life luxurys = water\lights\ and their long range flamethrowers. They were right to leave, because they would not be able to maintain the defense to the siege that was going on.
    Thunder-dome was a very dangerous time line, for Max. His age has him near top life expectancy, and the waste land he was going to was more radioactive. Water and methane was the crown jewel in the Bartertown lands. I believe it was during the end of Thunder-dome, Max's life was over. It's people after the fact that tell his story, and it's this fact that makes the movies intriguing. We are listening to history, of a solider a Cop. Someone without maybe knowing brought some justice and peace to those around him. These new movies have no story, because the timeline is incorrect in the first place. They use CGI and crazy Boss girls with Max as a secondary player. "Now no max" Fury road tricked people.... They went to see Madmax and found out he would be tied up for most of the movie, so a woman can be stronger then him. The movie shows he has his interceptor, which is bullshit because it was destroyed. Now the second movie using his name, but no MAX.

    • @Mad_Max_World
      @Mad_Max_World  7 місяців тому

      Man, fantastic analysis. The point you miss is how Max rebuilt the Interceptor. George Miller created the comics together with Mike Sexton to explain that detail, as well as some additional stories about how Immortan took citadel in his younger years. They all blend well with original trilogy, so I would advise you to read it, just type in google: Mad Max comics read online".

    • @lisamaitland157

      @@Mad_Max_World Comics don't play any part in these new movies if the timeline is incorrect.picking a choosing comics won't work, if the time line is incorrect in the movie .Other wise the new movies would have the correct timeline with the old.. Movies now make shit up.. besides the claim on furyroad is 46years after thunderdome = max is long dead and the big reason we only hear story's about him. So the interceptor in furyroad is not being driven by Madmax because he is dead and vehicle max had after thunderdome was a truck. "well kind of a truck after he smashed it also" With no interceptor parts around barter town and only methane is now the new fuel. I don't see him in his 70+ walking the earth and 1 by 1 by picking up parts.
      In Mad Max, he is 23 years old in the year 1997; in Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior, he is 26 years old in the year 1999; and in Mad Max 3: Beyond Thunderdome, he is 40-46 years old in the year 2014; and in Mad Max: Fury Road, his age is retconed to 36 even though the film takes place 46 years after Beyond Thunderdome

      And I don't watch sequels that are 20 to 30 years after the fact, I can just point to crap Star Wars and crap Indiana Jones sequels as proof, include Blade Runner 20whatever. I'll even point to Bill & Ted Face the Music 30 or so years later sequel, pure crap.

    History is filled with movies that "nobody asked for" that were huge successes. Problem is "Go Woke, Go Broke"... the people in the entertainment industry bubble believe people want to see this feminism. However... the fact that executives at these company have allowed this destruction speaks of a much larger issue...

    Fury Road had 400 VFX artists working on over 2000 VFX shots. Furiosa has the same number of artists working on it. Can we quit the copied opinion that VFX is bad and practical is the only way to go?

      @@ploppill34 That’s not a problem of VFX, that’s a problem of bad VFX. Bad practicals are also noticeable, as is bad acting, bad editing, bad sound, what kind of argument even is that?

    Most of the time the actors themselves created their own backstories not George Miller. UA-camrs making up crap is really annoying !

      @DannyKnightblade45 You are totally blue pilled. You hate the fact that the word woke is being used against the left. Woke is when you're more concerned about looking like a good person than you are about actually being a good person.
