Strangely enough this episode was directed by Bob Kelljan, who directed Count Yorga in 197O, and Return of Count Yorga in 1971, both of which starred the late-great Robert Quarry. The late-great John Saxon plays a guy who thinks he's a vampire in this episode, and even the way he charges when he is on the attack is a Direct nod to the way the titular Count Yorga attacks in the two Yorga movies. This is perhaps my favourite ever Starsky and Hutch episode. R.i.p David Soul 😥🙏🙏🙏🙏

For me this is the most remembered Starsky & Hutch episode. I have it on DVD. I haven''t looked at it for a while. When I was a kid in the 70s, it would come on during prime time, somewhere between 8pm to 10pm during the week (reruns). I would only watch the opening credits then click, off to bed. I did the same thing with Hawaii-50, Streets of San Francisco. I was not into the stories so much as the opening credits. The music for this show was the coolest. This episode I saw in full on a Saturday night with my Dad.

I enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing. I was surprised to see Suzanne Somers in it for a brief minute, and John Saxon. David Soul hunting vampires again, "Salem's Lot", another good series. I loved the bell bottom pants, and halter tops we wore back in the 1970's era. I was a teenager back then. We are gonna miss you David. Rest in peace.

I loved the 70's and also loved the T.V. spook movies of Aaron Spelling of the seventies, the horror genre on t.v. was great with Him, Dan Curtis, Richard Matheson, Robert Bloch, Rod Serling, even Gene
Roddenberry with Spectre which though an awesome pilot wasn't picked up by networks!!! Also loved
The T.V. Cop/Detective shows, Horror/Sci-fi, music, movies , and life in general!!! Gary Bailey

I remember seeing this episode on Halloween night, and I was so scared I crapped myself. Now watching this same episode I crack up seeing The late John Saxon playing a vampire. 😂😂😂😂
He wasn't such a great actor although he did kick--- in Enter The Dragon. I remember the fighting scene where he bet Williams ( The late (Jim Kelly ). That he was going to beat the hell out of his opponent in the martial arts tournament.
