Excellent, thanks to this video I managed to solve my problems . ( clicking sound of loose spokes). Saved me bringing it to the bike shop ( long waiting list ) and saved me 75 CHF. Just observing the exposed threads ( a little more difficult mine were black and not silver) helped tremendously. Tightening is counter-clockwise. I don't know why Chatgpt said otherwise. Thanks again.
I got to the awesome trick with the zip tie for truing the rim, and thought "this guy sounds like he knows his stuff". Thanks for all the detailed videos! Your content on this model has convinced me that the XP 2.0 is the perfect way to dip my toes into ebikes!
Just checked my spokes went for one ride since I bought it found a bunch of loose ones just ordered the tool. thank you👍 the display was ready to fall off now I'm checking every nut & bolt again!
Thanks for the tips. Purchased my tool at my local bike shop. They started stocking the blue ones specifically for ebikes. I'm lucky and my local shop helps everyone regardless where the bike came from or how much it cost
Appreciate the comments about not being able to source replacement spokes. The lack of parts is the biggest concern I have with buying any ebike like this, especially since the local shop has a stated policy that discourages you from bringing in a bike for service if they didn't sell it. I do get the reason why they would have concerns but it's not their fault if parts aren't available.
My wife brought me the Lectric ebike for Christmas I had it for 6 months a spoke broke and I contacted the company for help with a replacement pack of spoke they never got back with me they are not a good company.
I just had to replace 3 spokes on my rear tire on my 2.0. I contacted Lectrics customer service email and asked where I could buy replacements( because its impossible to find 128mm spokes) and they immediately sent me an email and said you can buy replacements through Lectric themselves via email. I've not had a single bad experience with their customer service though
Thanks for a great video. Very well explained, I've been working on regular bikes for decades but just bought an ebike and needed a bigger spoke wrench. Thanks for the link, now I know what to buy!
Thank you very much, Glenn! I'm trying to improve with each new one. Been working on bikes for decades, but very new to video and instructions. Glad you like them, keeps me going 👍
Great video Chris. exactly what I needed. I'm going to order that spoke wrench right now from Amazon through your link. thanks again for posting. your videos are awesome
Thanks for another great video, I put hydraulic brakes on my XP2.0 , on the front wheel the caliber is barely rubbing some spokes. Maybe tightening the spokes on the opposite side could help. I would love your opinion on that. Thanks. You have helped make my XP a lot nicer.
I asked Lectric support what the nipple size is on the XP 3.0 and they told me it was 4.2mm. I looked up the Park Tool SW-3 and it's for a 12 gauge 3.96mm nipple size. Is the nipple size different between the XP 2.0 and XP 3.0 or are they the same? Does your SW-3 (blue) wrench fit the XP 3.0 nipple?🤔
I had a stick flip up into the spokes while riding and snapped one of my spokes on the rear wheel right at the J bend. Does anyone have a good link to buy the specific 12G (2.6mm) 128mm long spokes for the XP 2.0?
I need to get used to the pedal assist definitely turn the bike off I'm used to having just a thumb throttle less things to break was my thought now I need pedal assist and cruise control no more 26-in fast bikes 🤕
Great video. But just makes me wonder again for the 10 x ∞ times why 1. Few solid wheels like on moped to deal with motor torque. 2. Start with motorcycle tires on Electric road bikes, like cargo bikes. Would free up so much work that is done way to often on electric bikes. You tend to use an E-bike way more often and for longer distances. So if you build them to old bike standards you just constantly have to work on them. I got a new E-bike recently and in less than a week I had a 100 miles on it. My old E-bike I put 6000+ miles in a year. Had to replace tires multiple times, brake pads, broken spokes and motor burned out. (battery still good!) Make them more DURABLE please!
Just a suggestion: consider saving all of these vids with the aim of producing a DVD on servicing each common brand of e-bikes! There are probably THOUSANDS of Lectric owners who would pay twenty bucks for a DVD collection of your instructional videos and simple tips of wisdom from all of your bike repair experience! You cannot sell it directly from the Tube but you CAN link to your website somewhere and sell directly from there. Thanks!..........................elsullo
You really should. You deserve some sort of compensation for these in depth reviews. Just got mine used and have been watching your vids for maintenance. I would definately buy your video if you made one.
Being stupid, I followed your link and ordered the green wrench because it was the cheapest. I didn't realize that the colors represented different sizes. You might want to point that out.
It's not stupid, just learning. I tried to show and describe only the blue wrench, but I added another line in the video description. Thanks for letting me know👍

That zip tie hack is brilliant, thank you!

I appreciate your videos they have been very helpful while rebuilding and maintaining my bikes.
You have a great way of teaching, easy explanations are always followed up by a close up of the area you are talking about, thanks for the vid

Thanks Lucas, and I agree about the Lectric. I should have my actual review of it up someday soon. Just been busy playing with it first 👍
Just checked my spokes went for one ride since I bought it found a bunch of loose ones just ordered the tool. thank you👍 the display was ready to fall off now I'm checking every nut & bolt again!
Good job! Bike stuff loosens up. It's good to check regularly 👍
Thanks for the tips. Purchased my tool at my local bike shop. They started stocking the blue ones specifically for ebikes. I'm lucky and my local shop helps everyone regardless where the bike came from or how much it cost
Lots of good tips and encouragement. Much appreciated.

You have the best maintenance videos. Kudos.
Insightful!! thanks for taking the time to demonstrate this.
Anytime, thank you for watching! 👍
Thanks for posting. I'll be reviewing the park tool list to update my bike tools.
Sounds good Joey, thanks for watching!
Good view thanks on my break on the job! Looking forward to view my.
Thanks Stephane! Glad you liked it 👍
Thank you for what your doing. These videos are remarkable.
Thanks Danny, I know that it can be challenging to find a bike shop to work on these. So I'm just trying to help folks keep their bike working well. 👍
Thanks for a great video. Very well explained, I've been working on regular bikes for decades but just bought an ebike and needed a bigger spoke wrench. Thanks for the link, now I know what to buy!
Your videos are excellent. You have a new subscriber.
Thank you very much, Glenn! I'm trying to improve with each new one. Been working on bikes for decades, but very new to video and instructions. Glad you like them, keeps me going 👍
There's different sizes for the blue one which size ?
Excellent Chris, thanks as always for the effort.
My pleasure! Thanks for the kind words 👍
Very clear! Thanks
Great content 👌 👏. I have been binge watching, my XP 2.0 is on order. Thank you so much! Nee sub here.
Thank you very much! Waiting for your new bike is the hard part. But it will be sweet when it finally arrives 👍
The first thing a person needs to remember is that if the tool is labelled "Park Tool," it's probably overpriced.
Any link to where you can buy the spokes? Does Lectric sell them?
Great video Chris. exactly what I needed. I'm going to order that spoke wrench right now from Amazon through your link. thanks again for posting. your videos are awesome
No problem, thanks for the support! Such a simple tool that can help so much👍
Thanks for the video brother 🙏

I had to move the caliper out all the way and bend the rotor a little, Works great now
@@PedalWithPower I'm going to try 1or2 washers on the axel, that's a great idea, thanks for your help.
another helpful video 👍👍

Another great value video. Thank you 🚲🔥👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏
Thanks Richard! Always good to hear 😃👍👌
Great video. I'm curious if Lectric would sell some extra spokes if you asked their support team?
Great video as usual. Thanks!
Or you could actually use your zip tie or a dial indicator to check concentricity.
Hi, do you know if the blue park tool spoke wrench will work on the lectric lite spokes? thanks.
Thanks

Thank you!
Where do you go to get replacement spokes for the rear hub motor.
Good question. I can't get them at my bike shop. You might contact Lectric and see if they have replacements
Excellent video! Very clear explanations and views............................elsullo
I need to get used to the pedal assist definitely turn the bike off I'm used to having just a thumb throttle less things to break was my thought now I need pedal assist and cruise control no more 26-in fast bikes 🤕
More good info.
At 5:09 is that a hairline crack across the rim?
That's where they joined them at the factory

Thanks for the tip. I may do a more thorough collection as a one time paid instructional series
You really should. You deserve some sort of compensation for these in depth reviews. Just got mine used and have been watching your vids for maintenance. I would definately buy your video if you made one.
Yeah. You are providing gold information here. I can see you doing series for each major selling e bike. Great niche for you man.
Being stupid, I followed your link and ordered the green wrench because it was the cheapest. I didn't realize that the colors represented different sizes. You might want to point that out.

Lmao 🤣🤣🤣
That's your fault though
your tube looks like it is under duress, straighten it out before reinflating.
Thanks, will do
"Sell a man a spoke wrench...sell a man a wheel." Take it to a wheel tech or Local Bike Shop. This is TERRIBLE advice!
i really dont wanna watch a 16 minute video just to figure out what size spokes i need.
12
The way you describe things in detail was kinda annoying but im sure it’s helpful for noobs!
👍
