God, I pray Ren *never* signs to a label. His independence is what allows him to be so creative and genre-busting. Love your reactions and your love of Ren, which I share.
Of course he's not gonna sign to a label! He got used by Sony and kicked to the curb when they found out his illness. The record companies loss and the people's gain.

Don't need a record label anymore. Can you imagine what they would have done with hi Ren. They would have edited the f out it. Cut it down to 3 minutes. They probably would never even put it out.
He needs to have total
artistic control over his music. No label would give him that.
Even Chinchilla is now independent after what she said was a horrible year being signed.
Record labels want to much control over everything you do. Which is a nightmare for a creative person like these two.
Having someone to manage things for you who's on board with what you do is good.
It's hard to try and manage your affairs & create music as well.
The label
might spend a lot of money promoting you. But every penny they lay out. You have to pay back. It's a business & your a product.
Stay independent stay free.
As a wise person said after what happened with Sony....I hope he's talking to Tom McDonald and Harry Mack because in 2023 when you are a unicorn you don't need trash labels

Dude. The music industry has been in sad shape for a couple decades. Artists like Ren have been overlooked. I am so thankful for reactors here on UA-cam. I would have never heard of Ren without all of you doing what you do. Social media is the future for artists. No cap.

Ren has a very small channel where he started recording other artists in his bedroom, years ago. It's called Ren's Room. One of his recording is with Orlean, playing guitar. Orlean is on one of Rens older songs, Jessica. There are other incredible artists too, including Joe Hitchcock. Amazing on the electric guitar playing an old blues / jazz song called 'Summertime'. Last week when I mentioned the channel in another videos comment, it grew from 175 subs to 258. I hope that one day he adds more artists and they also get the recognition they all deserve.

Listened to this today while I was walking my dog on the beach, and the first warm sunbeams shone on the Sea 🖤 Such a beautiful day, and this song was the perfect soundtrack

Everytime I hear a new Ren song It's my new favourite 😅 I discovered Ocean the other day and that's amazing! But - my all time favourite rash are still The Hunger (I wish it was longer) i'm shocked that the views are still low, and illest of our time. Crutch with Bibi is an exquisite work of art and blows my away every time I watch it ❤❤

Definitely check out “Ocean” next like many others suggest. Not only how crazy good Ren is but ALL the people he collaborates with Sam Tompkins, Chinchilla, Eden Nash, Bibi! Plus all collabs have their own style and sound to them, crazy good!

This is one of my favourite tracks since discovering Ren. It's upbeat while still dealing with serious content and has a great message. Never heard Eden Nash before, but she sounds amazing. Ren coming in so powerful, shouldn't surprise me by now but it did.

I'm totally with you, how are these songs so old and we never heard them 1000x on the radio? How blessed are we that he did HI REN and now we are all able to discover his backlog. I really can't find a song of his that disappoints me. He deserves a serious cash flow for all the enjoyment he has brought me/us. I don't need him to be on a label but I want to make sure he gets PAID.

I'm a manager in a busy downtown restaurant in our area and bump these guys during the slow time so I can talk about them and how badass this music is, there's something magical watching the entire fluid chaos that is a kitchen bump to "Genesis" or "Illest of Our Time". Eden Nash, Chinchilla, Sam Tompkins, Liv Sangler, Romain Axisa, etc...are all Top Tier, S Class, Musical Masters. The content they and the people they associate with is of such a pure caliber...it's all so *Chef Kiss* watching your reactions and vicariously reliving these bangers is such a treat.

I relate to what you said really deeply. I keep digging deeper into Ren's catalog and I keep getting amazed by the depth and talent and creativity of his music over and over again. And that same thought strikes me, how does art like this fly SO under the radar.
Case in point, I just found (and REALLY recommend it as a next for you also) Ren's Love Music trilogy. (Love Music Pt.1, 2, and 3). They are all amazing, but Love Music Pt. 3 had me sitting by myself in my house, grinning ear to ear, vibing along with the beat and openly laughing at the 90's callouts he was dropping all over that track. How those tracks are not radio hits I'll never know.
Check them out, it shows the type of musically styling that Humble has, but it's all upbeat in it's mood and message. Basically Ren's love letters to the music and cultural influences he loves. They are fantastic tracks!

I see so many people say"why is this not on the radio", and it really starts to show up just how throttled the industry is. There's a lot of talent out there and so much variety, but it's so difficult to get it out there. You and the other best reactors have transformed that and helped so much. I've seen the change since Hi Ren, and it has been reactors leading the charge.
Ren was part of a new remix song by Venbee that just came out. It’s called Gutter and his verse is fire. The whole song has a great groove imo:) It’s on Venbee’s channel.
