Ren makes the type of music I never knew I needed in my life. I‘m glad he was in the recommendations in December. Not heard a song I didn‘t like.

Ren is not a rabbit-hole, its a whole warren of side passages and different pockets, solo rapping, singing, beatboxing, piano, bass, guitars, then ren and sam, big push, chinchilla etc etc etc, a true polymorph

This song has been playing on repeat for me. I live with chronic illness and chronic pain. (CRPS-The Suicide Disease) and that’s on top of my severe depression and ptsd (upgraded to non treatable). I feel every word of this song.
I lived with chronic disease too and severe depression ptsd and borderline personality, and the psych meds gave me a rare form of cancer, searching for a cure for 7 years. I changed my life style, started following Dr.Erik Berg's diet and focused on the food i put in my body and today I am completely healed, no more meds. Is it known how your CRPS came to be? While in Hospital and Rehabilitation cause of a traumatic workplace accident i've heard of this Illness for the first time. A roommate from there had it. While most of the guys in Rehabilitation got better with each week, he got whorse, after this 3 Rehabilitation he finally got diagnosed. A Doc told me i might have it too, but i was only showing 3 symptoms.

How does this dude consistently write in ways that can be interpreted in multiple meaningful directions at once??
Also "What's the price of creativity is it losing your mind and seeing patterns in the places where the pattern's hard to find" is another one that sticks with me as an artist myself.
That long wailing note at the end always gives me goosebumps too!

Loving the title to this!!! I was kind of able to follow Ren's journey and really enjoy watching you guys go down the rabbit hole the same way I did with Little Simz. These are my two very very favorite and I am so glad that this year actually the end of last year people finally started noticing her and now everybody is noticing Ren and I'm just ecstatic for the both of them they deserve all of this!!! Dependent artists working hard on their dream and their lyrics are so deep and they are both artistes, not just artists. I love all the call backs in Ren's music battling this Goliath in this track and then "it's not David versus Goliath" at the end of Hi Ren. There are so many others like She sells sea shells from Money Game being called back again in Hi Ren. He's a fantastically talented multi-genre artist. 💪😜🤘

Ren is such a clever artist. You can always feel that there is intent behind every word and sound in his music. I don’t really know much about his writing process, but it seems like he has a full vision before he even starts creating a song, if that makes sense. Or he is just great at making it all come together by playing around with stuff lol Either way the end results are always great.
Also still waiting for Crutch feat. Bibi. It is one of his most beautiful pieces of art.
