MW3 was 100% DLC. They marketed very cleverly, instead of saying its DLC & they're giving you extra stuff, they market it as a new game where you can bring all your stuff with you from your old game, which seems like they're being nice & giving you something they didn't have to do, but really, it's just a DLC pack where they removed the original content.
Black Ops 6 better have it's own platinum trophy this time on PS5, MW3 was LITERALLY counted as DLC as far as PS5 trophies go which is absolutely disgraceful.

The BO3 thing isn’t exactly true. The Xbox 360/PS3 version of Black Ops 3 was a completely different port of the game developed by Beenox. It’s excessive to say it took resources away from Treyarch or complicated development when it was essentialy a different version of the game ported by a different developer. In addition, that version of the game was completely broken on launch and never fixed. It was just a scam.
Bro facts, as a broke 13 year old the game that I got on ps3 was horrible. No campaign I don’t even remember if it had zombies the entire game just had bad textures being that it was the old gen atm
@@xhexnanox7179 It did have zombies but just the first map until like half a year later when they ported dlc 1 and the giant. And still had the balls to charge money for them. Honestly the game looked far worse than the first three CODs, or 6th gen console games like Finest Hour or Big Red One.

The reason it's a bad thing is because the game is going to have constant frame dips on pc unless you have a 10k$ pc also the storage will be huge because ps4s don't have a ssd so they have to use old code hope this helps you understand

I mean we still end up buying the new game at least MOST games if it has any kinda playability. Most COD games start to die player count wise after 2-3 years unless the newest game is considered just absolutely dog water by 90% of player, but COD makers wont care because they are just PRINTING money on the ones that play no matter what. Like most people want to upgrade to the new Iphone or Samsung every 1-2 years and by year 3 or 4 people really feel that itch. and when your customer based is in the 10's/100's of millions

I have no problem it releasing on CoD HQ as long as it has its own trophy list, I enjoy getting the platinum trophy on every CoD game and mw3 was a slap in the face for that
They need to revamp the interface and separate the games within the HQ better. Switching at between MW2019, Vanguard and Cold War at the main menu was kinda seamless and nice but now it’s trash.

This is what I don’t get when players get angry about leaving last gen behind since all it does is hurt the game’s performance. I hate saying this but if you were to start saving $10 a month right now, you’d have enough for the ps6 & Xbox Series 2 by the time those comes out. Literally bought my X new for $350 last christmas; a twelve year old could save up for that with 6 months allowance. One of my main issues with Cod these days is the size of the games. Installing Mw3 and it's over 200gb from the last time I played a few months back so presume it's bigger again now. It's just such a huge amount of console storage that it's severely off-putting, when I found out xDefiant was only 30gb last week it was such a nice surprise 😂😂

You say there was a difference in the feel of the game between MW 2019 and Cold War, this is because Treyarch were still using the old engine. We are yet to see a Treyarch game that runs on the new COD engine

The same will be true for the ps5 pro and ps6. We will get games that use all of the ps5’s hardware when ps7 or ps8 launches lol I see no reason unless something changes drastically in the games being made to upgrade every time. Consoles are doing what Apple does every year with their phones.

The Xbox 360 and PS 3 versions of BO 3 were actually limited to MP only . There was no campaign on those releases although it was priced at the same $ 60 as the next gen versions that had a full campaign.

The SBMM/EOMM will ruin BO6, just like in MW3 (don't pre-order it) Back in February, when the MW3 servers crashed and SBMM was temporarily disabled, it was the BEST games I've had in a CoD in at least 10 years.
There was no Try Hard, no sweaty CDL/Ranked on 500 mg of caffeine, no "Bunny-hop/jump-shot", no Cancel-slide every second and no game full Meta "MCW + Stricker 9"...
And we could make Drone Swarms or even Nukes in each game.
And as soon as they restored the SBMM, it was again a HORROR to play, disgusting (with a K/D of 3.72 like mine, I guarantee that every "normal" multi game "Moshpit 10 vs 10" is polluted by Ranked under cockain + full cheater)
That's crazy because XDefiant has no SBMM and it's still had a massive influx of tryhards with all the sweaty bunnyhopping/jumpshotting and slide-canceling. And i won't be surprised if the meta abuse pops up soon enough.

I still hope that even with the use of the same engine, there's still that Treyarch feel to the game and it isn't just Modern Black Ops Warfare
I am not buying COD for 3 big reason.
1. SBMM
2. Garbo skins and cosmetics.
3. COD HQ. Since I play on STEAM and love collecting games and looking in my library. I hate the fact that all new CODs are bundled into one package/game known as Call of Duty. I just don't like it!!

I play on a high end PC and will from here on out. It’s the best way to play. Having said that, there’s too many console players that refuse to upgrade because they think their PS4 should last 15+ years, when they’re already outdated as soon as they launch. Technology moves too fast and more people need to get on board with it. Studios shouldn’t hold back on making the games better due to people refusing to upgrade. If they miss out, they miss out. Life is tough, I guess.

To say black ops 6 is a DLC doesn’t make sense considering it’s been in development for around 2-4 years.
Well to be fair the HQ makes it feel like a dlc, we dont get to open a game like we used to but instead download one mega thread to then download 5 media packs for each gamemode we wanna play, it sucks lol. I miss when cod just downloaded and played and you had to close out to go to another game instead of hit the menu and syphon all of the money and terrible decisions you paid for. I bought vanguard as it was the beginning of the HQ and everyone was excited. It was garbo. The only time HQ worked imo was WW2, i loved going into the Game specific HQ and being able to do whatever but Activision has changed since 2019 and tried to coagulate the call of dutys to release faster and instead they are limiting the creativity each branch originally had like treyarch raven and activision

All in all guys I know CoD wont die, the only thing that can kill it its itself. Sadly. Thats why the “I hope” in the beginning of my comment. This is just a simple case of a little niche hobby exploding in popularity one day. Games are not made out of passion anymore but out of investor interest. So all it matters is how to get Timmy to spend the next $25, wait no, $30 dollars on the next anime skin (yeah the irony of my profile pic I know) not how to make a fun game. The only way we will have a good CoD ever again is, well… we wont.

If they follow XD example and remove sbmm/eomm and improve their net code and servers they'll release decent games.

The shortcomings of previous gen BO3 were due to Beenox, not the hardware.
I’ve been on PC for COD since MW19 (did switch from BNet to Steam for MWII & MWIII though), and don’t plan to change that for Black Ops 6, especially with the COD HQ being how it is.
As for BO6 being on last-gen, honestly I’m gonna wait to see if the campaign is on last-gen before I come to any conclusions. If it is, then I’ll be worried about it being held back by the limitations of last-gen hardware. If not, then I’m fine with this.

It’s closer to overwatch than mw3. You can literally see people through walls with an ability for 10 seconds. And you can do it every 30 seconds 🤣

Honestly they should just have a recommended settings on old gen then allow people to increase graphics setting or lower them so they can choose whether they want a better looking game at the cost of performance or prioritize performance over visual quality. Like how you can control everything on a pc. If you got an old pc that isn’t super powerful you can drop everything to the lowest settings and get the performance you want out of it. The goal should honestly be at the very lowest settings it should be a consistent 60fps.
I play on PS5 & this is more concerning for me for zombies, like back in the day when they wanted to make the Tranzit zombie map way better than it was but the 360/PS3 hardware held that back

I think Game Pass Ultimate should receive all Xbox first party titles at their highest version (Deluxe, Ultimate etc) just like Ubisoft+ is doing. They can add the basic edition on Game Pass Core.

Lol you're just yapping. They aren't going to give you the vault edition and it will still blow up Game Pass despite that. They have always given you the base game and expected you to buy DLC, that's not going to change, especially for a money maker like COD.

@toptiertech7291 it's not even that almost every game now is still being made for cross generation. The only game really worth it is Spiderman 2. I'm not arguing consoles. Just the games are not exclusive to the "new" generation that has been out for 4 years

What I don’t understand is PS5 sales are at least as fast as PS4, but we didn’t have PS3 support in 2017 (4 years after PS4 release). The crossover issue was at least as pronounced then as it is now which tells me this is more about greed than anything else. Part of the reason people buy a new console is to play games that only exist on those consoles!

I liked Call of Duty before when they developed the games separately. I’m not implying there’s anything wrong with change, but it was fun seeing the differences between the main three studios.

Who’s still using a OG Xbox One VCR ☠️ I replaced mine with a Series X because it was running like a potato’s after 10 years.
I mostly play cod on PS5 tho. Series X versions of MW3 is buggy for me.
I made the move to play CoD on PC starting with Cold War because it took me 3 years to be able to get a hold of the PS5. I did get myself the Xbox Series S to play certain games with friends and have that feeling of playing games on a console again after coming off of the PS4, but I just don't vibe with it.
