Imagine at that time as a count doing your daily activites (probably hanging around or taking your farmer's daughter, wife etc.) but suddenly A man (Dyre) comes from away more handsome more stronger than you and now he is doing your things. Actually more than your things (your wife, your sis and all of your money). LOL.
You said you want your daughter to be your heir. She is the daughter of the empress of the Byzantine Empire, so you should swear fealty to them, and then make it the goal to make her heir the Basileus.
Well the befriend to patron perk doesn’t require you to constantly move your camp from place to place unlike the area perk which only works when you’re in their land. I’ve only played a century of unlanded as Ubbing and it’s so nice to have 5+ people on your roll that you can make requests of basically every few months for whatever you want which the Diplomat side perk would not let you do without moving a bunch.
I didn't know OPB was a fellow Dyre enjoyer! Awesome. I haven't tried him landless yet, but My favorite way to run Dyre is to steal the neighboring titular Mogyer Confederation with a subjugation war. With no de-jure vassals, you are the only elector if you apply Scandinavian elective to the confederation, meaning you can pick and change your heir at will. Because you can change your heir, you can land your heir by making them not your heir for a brief moment. You can also take your titular Kingdom and build tall anywhere you want on the map, enjoying the extra Men At Arms/Acclaimed Knights that a Kingdom offers without having to hold a Kingdom's worth of land. One thing I will kind of warn people of is that Dyre's health kind of sucks. He often croaks before 60 for me unless I take steps to stack health bonuses on him. So make sure you focus on having your wife/concubines/neighbor's wife crank out genius kids for you while you can.
mainly did that bc you could boost your court grandeur dirt cheap when you are small, and at max the court gave 60% lifestyle exp boost or sth. but they totally removed the exp thing in one patch.
I don't know if you tried this during one of the cuts but you can heal in temples and buy artifacts in cities, both of these would have helped you in your quest to duel the Basileus. I also often forget to visit any holding besides castles as an adventurer because I always just go to realm capitals.
I will say this, having finally played an adventurer I feel like something is missing. Idk if this is a good solution but turning adventurer into the opposite of Gallowsbait where you gain experience in multiple tracks relating to each type of contract in the game makes a lot of sense to me. I get that adventuring is supposed to be temporary but it feels like it really lacks any amount of meta-progression. Knight of the Blank is temporary though it has been funny to do it in different cultures to get different titles with different characters. The travels of Blank works I guess but I’ve only didn it once just for the points so I haven’t seen the artifact. Man I really hope the Wnaderers DLC makes unlanded a lot better
That start hurt, he could have waited to choose the event spawned followers, entered the castle to recruit some more and then hired a mercenary captain. He willingly lost so much time. It really starts at 14:34
yeah there is a bug where you cant upgrade your tent when you are upgrading sth else, but you can totally cancel that upgrade when that window pops up for the discounted instant tent upgrade. btw frequent festivities is super good for landless, it lets you to only pay 41g to upgrade every 10 month, also helpful for landless noble, as every feast is 400-600 influence.
One thing about being an adventure that is easy to overlook is that each type of holding has a different town interaction. You can buy relics in towns, which is fantastic.
Honestly visiting all kinds of locale is super OP in this update. Visiting a church will let you heal wounds/sickness and get a 5 year life expectancy bonus, and visiting castles will let you quickly amass prowess and then the blademaster trait + XP (provided you can pay for it). If you plan on dueling your lover's cucked husbands, you might wanna get that first ;)
i wouldnt call it OP, it just gives you some power as you cant benefit from holdings. i mean in around 1060, every temple could give you +4 martial, learning, prowess, 40% learning exp boost, and you could hold like 10 or more. and you are here thinking visiting a temple is OP.
I was befriending people in 10 days, that were in my camp. Every time I traveled, I recruited a cultural ambassador who joins the camp, and would just befriend them. So those bonuses were super easy.
There is only one true vikinger and his name is koifish! Edit:my vote is for the Abassid’s(because I have a feeling we will see them far less often with the new dlc adding a third start. While Byzantium and Egypt will stay relevant)
Idk if this is a bug or feature but if you move your camp to where the contract schemes take place you can move on and do other things while the scheme works in the background. You are only locked in place for a contract when you travel to it, not if your camp is already located there. This also works for some activities too. Basically you can have one scheme contract active and then go do any other non scheme contract and can even move your camp away once the scheme contract is started
The schemes percentage is different because it has a lot more options. In a lot of cases you can basically guarantee them they will just take forever to fire
I found a nice combo is Varangian Veterans, Ayurizdi (Armenian), and Horse Archers. Those three alone counter almost everything in the game, paiks help too.
When you get the pavillion bug the honest thing you should do is cancel the construction of what youre making for a refund and then take the instant construct discount pavillion then rebuild the campfire
I think elope is just really strict on who it works for. Especially not landed people, or people who should inherit. (You can mess with that one a little) But it should really just say why it's not available

You're not passing through all the points of interest when you're travelling, even though it often would not even be a detour. You're missing out on a _lot_ of free lifestyle XP, and on the decision to write about your travels where you can get five free learning perks.
my last game was dyre, incredibly fun with the one exception of the ai making a ruthenian culture in cherven cities a month before I could hybridise, fun
I WILL BE SLEEPING WITH YOUR WIFE VERY VERY SOON I love how he almost sounds apologetic about it. Like it's just something that is going to happen and there is no way to control it. Dyre gets the ladies.
It is strange, the DLC seems to throw your culture and religion out the window. No rivers, no raiding, no blots, no runestones... All of the Norse / Asatru flavor seems to have had the Slate Wiped clean
Join Basileia Ton Rhomaion, you should have distinguished yourself as a varagian, instead you presumably just going to sleep with the current Basileus or Basílissa to make them give you an estate, or something, or heck get a child with a claim to the throne.
Gotta go Byzantine. The greek flavor is too good to ignore. Going from a Norseman cucking your rivals to a girlboss half-greek castrating her rivals seems like a fitting transition.
On the contrary, I hate Haestienn, at least in his current implementation. He's an annoying sandbox character who always lives too long. Unless he's being played, he should probably just be an unlanded merc leader or something
I don't know how youtubers get hundreds of gold from wars. I did a dedicated swords for higher, and I'd never get more than 60 something for single-handedly winning a war for people.
STOP TELLING ME ABOUT MOLD IN MY PROVISIONS, PLEASE
Almost forgot to link this mod btw: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3341502686
@OneProudBavarian Please sir, may I have some more mold? *Becomes ill*
Ayo that's my mod lmao
Byzantine!!! Make the child of the former queen the new queen!
And then he can pull his illegitimate son from Bulgaria in and get him a theme
@@AnthonySmith-wc8ky
Why not marry the them! 😂😂😂
"I will be sleeping with your wife very very soon. But enough about real world issues"😂😂😂
Yeah i do like his dialog too😊😅😅
Jokes on him, I don't have a wife! 🤣🤣🤣
I made myself sad now... 😭
@@sirtiner37 yeah that weak attempt at a joke made me click off the video
I vote for Byzantium. It would be really interesting to put your daughter on the throne!
Agree
I think Egypt would be the most "strange" choice, so for Dyre I think it's correct
LOL.
Koifish: "You have made a powerful enemy today!"
I know Dyre, I love vassalising him for my Magyar playthroughs. I think it brings a neat element when I found Hungary.

Byzantines. It's the traditional route for the Varangian.
Byzantium, make your daughter empress!
I don't know if you tried this during one of the cuts but you can heal in temples and buy artifacts in cities, both of these would have helped you in your quest to duel the Basileus. I also often forget to visit any holding besides castles as an adventurer because I always just go to realm capitals.
You could almost say that scheme success chances and battle outcome predictions are MOLDING
Join the caliphate and invade byzantium and put your daughter on the throne of both empires!
This is truly Hæsteinn at home.
"Loves her husband... No you don't!" 😆

you did byzantine adjacent stuff with the seljuk highlight, my 1st vote is egypt, 2nd is abbasids
I vote Abbasids, I miss the OPB Desert Vikings series…
Dyre is my favourite viking character to play, closely followed by Harald Fairhair
Careful with that Hæsteinn slander or you'll trigger a Varangian Adventure from Koifish
That was a brilliant bit of editing at the beginning with Dyre popping up from every corner with all the different expressions!
One thing about being an adventure that is easy to overlook is that each type of holding has a different town interaction. You can buy relics in towns, which is fantastic.

This dude is so fun to play! Enemies everywhere makes it a challenge but he's so OP
based byzantium!
Hey man i think theres some mold in the video
-200 provisions
40% chance to become ill
With RICE I'd go for Egypt, but in this case I vote for Blobbasids.
The schemes percentage is different because it has a lot more options. In a lot of cases you can basically guarantee them they will just take forever to fire
Koifish: can you we you play as Jarl Haesteinn?
Bravarian: No. We have Haesteinn at home
Haesteinn at home: Dyre the Stranger
Dyre being a bastard founder but still being part of the dynasty always bothered me tho.
one of my earliest play through, i eventually became a roman emperor
It's weird how i just played him in CK2 and found this video
I love Jarl Dyre, I played him a lot for the Russia based achievements and even did an Iranian Intermezzo run with him!
Safest route I can take, doesn’t take any travel safeguards when he has tons of money.
I found a nice combo is Varangian Veterans, Ayurizdi (Armenian), and Horse Archers. Those three alone counter almost everything in the game, paiks help too.

Quicker than norman conquest of England
Join the Abbasids! I have seen christian viking, I want to see muslim egyptian viking?
Byzantine!!!! Make the daughter the new Empress!!!
Dyre my dear. By far I've had the most fun playing Dyre
ransom cages only works if you capture a person form battles
Eastern Rome, baby!!
My first play after dlc was with him. The first that come to my mind who are a good choice for adventurer
my last game was dyre, incredibly fun with the one exception of the ai making a ruthenian culture in cherven cities a month before I could hybridise, fun
I vote for Egypt!
Make your daughter the Byzantine empress.
Dyre is my absolute favorite start in 867. Genius, viking, Kyiv, infinity options for what to do with him...yeah; he's Haestein but better.
You should swear fealty to the Byzantines and make a Varangian-like hybrid culture.
0:06 this is Haesting blasphemy! There is no viking better than Haesting.
I WILL BE SLEEPING WITH YOUR WIFE VERY VERY SOON
I love how he almost sounds apologetic about it. Like it's just something that is going to happen and there is no way to control it. Dyre gets the ladies.
I have started a campaign exactly like this. Please do Byzantium. It'll give me ideas!
Byzantine of course, become the varangian emperor !!!
23:22 said by the hyperskilled random norse man in egypt
It is strange, the DLC seems to throw your culture and religion out the window. No rivers, no raiding, no blots, no runestones... All of the Norse / Asatru flavor seems to have had the Slate Wiped clean
I thought Dyre the Stranger was one of the most popular playthroughs in CK3....
I mean he's one of the very few who's a guaranteed Genius start
Join Basileia Ton Rhomaion, you should have distinguished yourself as a varagian, instead you presumably just going to sleep with the current Basileus or Basílissa to make them give you an estate, or something, or heck get a child with a claim to the throne.
Byzantine. To make the daughter's claim easier
I actually played him and I didn’t play CK2. I used him to get the achievement for forming Russia.
Gotta go Byzantine. The greek flavor is too good to ignore. Going from a Norseman cucking your rivals to a girlboss half-greek castrating her rivals seems like a fitting transition.
Egypt
Send this to Koifish
OPB you should never gamble if you think it's impossible to fail that many times in a row. Gambler's Fallacy running strong in this episode
Will you update your map mod again?
00:58 Foolish of you to asume we have a wife (we play map games)
0:56 it's over
Byzantium!
Everyone? Koifish is everyone?
One Proud Bavarian Hall Pass 😂
I vote for The Byzantines
On the contrary, I hate Haestienn, at least in his current implementation. He's an annoying sandbox character who always lives too long. Unless he's being played, he should probably just be an unlanded merc leader or something
He’s literally me
I vote for East Rome!
Where’s Part 2
ciekawie wygląda,,
wow
I don't know how youtubers get hundreds of gold from wars. I did a dedicated swords for higher, and I'd never get more than 60 something for single-handedly winning a war for people.
You should settle in some really good land but it's tribal so your descendants can really develop it. Wherever Kiev is, maybe.
Byzantium, although Haesteinn is still better (Koifish gang sends its regards)
Byz baby
THE GREEKS ALWAYS CHOSE THE GREEKS.
Fatimids.
Bavarian, come to Poland
Byzantine
Dyre has always been way better than haesteinn. dudes literally mr 867, hes literally him. Hes fucks without a doubt.
Join the eastern romans as a kinda Varangian vassal and the administrative goverment is cool
Hide ya wives??
make West Slavia administrative
Have paradox seriously still not added major river sailing for travellers? Weak
they changed his house sigil. unplayable.
wait what are you going to do with my wife
You call yourself proud bavarian but you haven't played as Bavaria in ck3🧐
