Royal Enfield has figured out what today's riders are looking for: the old Honda philosophy of a good quality, low cost, economical motorcycle that you can ride to work and take day trips with on the weekends. Thanks for the nice ride. My Sportster is hibernating in the garage.
Great vid, really enjoy the way you put the bikes through the everyday paces as some just thrash the bikes and witter on about 0 to 60 and power to wieght ratio. We need the real-world info which you provide.. Well done 👏 ✔️
Got 1 a few weeks ago, mother nature has put a block on riding but hopefully out soon to get more than 49 miles on her! Loving it so far, very smooth, should be even better once ran in. Great review
Nice review ! I downsized from a 1100 cc and bought a 21 Meteor Fireball knowing what to expect out of a 350cc engine. Puts a smile on my face every time. That 650 looks and sounds great. I hear it is as customize-ble as the Meteor. I am sure RE has hit another home run.Cheers 😎
Thank you for going to the effort of making the review, the main reason I watch your videos is to see your Body size relevant to the Bikes that you test ride. I'm Big & Tall like yourself & the more information you give to this area of the test ride the better. The Super Meteor looks cool.
Nice ride! Good to see us tall buggers would fit on this ok, its a great looking bike. Still love the looks of the Classic and the Interceptor, I'd have one any day. Can't argue that the RE bikes are just cracking value...
Just getting my Super Meteor out of its first service and riding the local hills to wring it out post break in. The bike is really starting to come in on its on and I feel more connected with its handling. So far, so good.
Very attractive. Being bikeless sept22 until May this year. I rode all RE models except this and liked interceptor the best but not quite enough power for me and a little on small side leg wise for me. They also still seem to have headbearings fuses and other electrical problems. Its good to hear the dealers are sound though
Excellent Review am now in a dilemma? Interceptor or SuperMeteor? Oh Dear! Better go test out the SuperMeteor out! Hopefully it’s as good as the Interceptor if not better THANKS!
I think the pillion seat is a bit of a token gesture. It could even sell well with just a single seat. They have certainly come along way in the last few years.
@@superchargedpetrolhead I thought that was on the smaller bike. The 350 isn't powerful enough for the roads here in the states, atleast not in my opinion. But that's what I'm thinking a rack instead of pellan pad . But I do appreciate your reply. It does help out . A person can never have to much information.
Good review, you show everything we want to know. 0 to 60 km/h? 48 hp on 240 kilos and you know what's going on. But you show what the chassis can do, what the handling is like, whether you can overtake safely, what it's like to drive on the freeway. Thanks for sharing! 👍
You are welcome....In the UK the Super Meteor will be more of a 2nd bike, a Sunday afternoon poseur bike, I doubt there will be many on freeways...Personally I love it ! If I didn't have an R9T as a 2nd bike, I would deffo buy a Super Meteor.
Nice ive bought one sight unseen, they turn up here in Australia in April some time. How did you go with the mirrors could you actually see anything behind you?
Having bought the 350 and been very disappointed with the power, went back to Honda and DCT and don't think anything can beat that combo! Nice, very fair review Sir, you are a natural!
This was a perfect illustration for the smaller bike. Did you say it could get up to 70 mph? I like to shift gears frequently and I like to rev up the motor by about +1000 RPMs. Can you increase RPM ranges by downshifting gears on certain road conditions and then, when you’re passing cars in front of you?
Great review. Do you think it would be suitable as a first big bike for a 5"7 guy? Also do you have any thoughts on 'bobberisation' for this bike? I am still deciding between this, the kawa vulcan s, and the honda 500rebel. Would appreciate any thoughts :)
Bobbers not my bag...no rear suspension!!!!!! On looks and engine the RE super Meteor wins hands down. No comparrison! ..................The Rebel and Vulcan are for very short legged people(fugly too) Thanks for watching
I think you can replace it by the tourer seat from RE accessories or go in for the tourer model of the Super Meteor 650, which is the highest model for this bike which come with windshield and the tourer seat as the standard fitment 😊
Thank you for the review, at 6´2 I was wondering if it would be suitable for me but, seeing you at 6´5 looking comfortable on it has answered my question. Would it hold those 70 mph for a long distances on a motorway?
Sir, your review of the bike was awesome! RE is a big thing in India but if we compare to refinement of bikes like Honda or Triumph, it is still not there in my opinion. But in terms of price I don’t think anyone can beat REs
I'm sorry, but the little unit on the right is the tripper unit, it's very obvious when you turned on the ignition, it's start up is the exact same as my meteor 350

Bike of the year!!!
Hi, done the same myself . I’ve got a 350 meaty and have bobbed it, but I’m definitely tempted 😜 will keep my 350 though. 👍😎
Fantastic commentary - the best I've seen for this bike. Just bought the Celestial Blue (touring) version. Roll on the Summer in 🇵🇹. Thanks again

A great range of bikes

Very much so....I've not seen the Touring version in the flesh yet
I agree with you . I'm going to buy this bike when it makes it to the states . And I will change that seat out to a single.
royal enfield does offer a single seat option with a metal rack in the place of the pillion seat...it looks sick.
@@superchargedpetrolhead I bet it does

Even though I ride a BMW F800GT I must admit I do like the look of this...needs heated grips as standard and I think I would get the touring pack.
Go ride one...it's a well sorted machine

Hi, would you say five gears would have been enough? 😎
I really like the bike as it is...well balance with a little of everything you could want
@@theloftybiker3090 many thanks for replying. I own a 350 meaty an a 700 XSR Yam which is quick but, not very comfortable. I'm very tempted. 🤔

Those levers are adjustable, just a little point 😉
