It's true that people generally need to have a better understanding of the difficulty that autistic children deal with every day; knowledge breeds compassion.

I appreciate the openness! Honestly speaking this is a topic discussed openly in U.S/ U.K. I am so happy its discussed in Nigeria. I know at times its a difficult topic to discuss let alone accept the disorder. This video is so encouraging because approaching the matter not ignoring it makes a huge difference in a child lives. Yes, prayer and we know God means well for our children so its kind of like we don't want to label our children as such or accept it, lets also remember God wants to also demonstrate transformation and healing in lives.

    I know nothing about Nigeria.
Yet if this part of Africa is community/family oriented (unlike North America), then Nigerians need to extend that attitude and mentality to road, village and school.
    I'm not much for labels.
God doesn't create disorders and possession hardly happens in kids (unless in hard-core voodoo territory).
Disorders is what we have to deal with since Eve (Iv).
It becomes a little more difficult when a person is expressing frustration in the form of sound and physical actions.
The best is to take time, provide safety/keep them safe and engage at there level.

Really happy for the parents but as special education teacher it is not fact the information the therapist just stated. There are thousands of non verbal autistic who have very high IQ. She just stated non verbal = low cognition and that is bogus.
