I have done a version of the hip extension exercise where the teacher said to keep the leg you're standing on perfectly straight with no bent knee, and I ended up injuring myself. I like your version of the exercise better because you're keeping both knees slightly bent at all times. I intend to do the exercise your way from now on. Thank you!

I am a new subscriber and I love the videos and have been doing many of your exercises and I see they are helping me. I have my left knee with osteo arthritis and so that side all joints from my neck to foot are always bothering me day in day out.

This is really great! I've been having so much trouble with hip extension for years, which has caused very tight quads and more or less constant pain in certain areas of the front thihg. It would be really helpful with a video on how to improve hip extension when walking and biking and in general how to improve it (stretches and exercises).

Thank you so much. Just what I needed. My glutes are really weak. And because they're weak, I cant make squats. Or glute exercises. I do, but i feel the quad and hamstrings doing all the work. But never the glutes. So thank you. This exercise will strengthen my glutes. thank you

Thankyou I'll try these have pain in but and hip been seen by pain clinic in uk had cortisone twice and still in pain

This is good! Now all I want is for you to do a 500 XYZ challenge type video. I am not sure whether to do these, standing, or to do the "quadruped" versions. I have moved to the quadruped versions due the existence of a "challenge" (celamarr's 500 hydrants). I am not sure which -- standing or quadruped -- are easier to cheat.
I have worked out that is reverse clamshells help and the small hip rotator muscles that are weak.

What is the important differences between doing this while leaning forward compared to doing this laying on your back?
Sadly my non-working glute fires like crazy and my lazy glute just goes along for the ride
i can do that exercises but back of my legs are so stiff even my calves what can i do?
It's very hard to keep my foot pointing down... Like i can't even get parallel if i try and keep my toes pointing down...

As I bend over and extend my leg back, my straight on ground legs hamstring (i'm presuming its the hamstring, it hurts behind my knee) gets stretched like mad. Is this normal because of my inflexibility and will do this for my gluts inadvertently aid my hamstring flexibility?

Is the leg you are moving back straight?
Can be straight or slightly bent or really bent. Experiment!
My right glutes are weaker and I feel it more in my upper ham than my glutes. Do you have any tips for firing up the right glutes?

Upright Health I really want to downvote this but I won’t because I like you guys. I consistently try to strengthen the right glutes but sometimes they just don’t want to fire.
