- Let me know how I can improve, I am still only getting down to 2.09's on this track.
Well with some quick suspension adjustments from my buddy @Jackson_foto I was able to get the bike in corners much better without fighting the bike, I'm still amazed at how much a little adjustment can do for your bike but it's now time for new suspension.

This is my go to channel for R7 content and how to videos. Yamaha should sponsor this dude.
Thanks bro, man I wish they would. That would be awesome
Need more what? Damn good riding. The one thing I've contemplated is changing out sprockets for quicker acceleration. Honestly, the top speed is ~142, but once you get to 120mph on track, the increase in speed is painstakingly slow. 125 is the fastest I've been able to get on the straights before running out of room. In the curves, faster acceleration would help and I think create more overtaking opportunities. The only other thing I would say (and what I've been told by faster riders and mentors) is on a couple of turns you coasted vs being on the gas. Don't feel bad as I do it as well. It's a trait that comes from driving. It's efficient when driving, but doesn't help in trying to attain fast lap times. The only cure for that is......More track time. GL and keep the dirty side down.
Need more track time and parts lol! Thanks Jerry I appreciate that. I’m right there with ya on the gear change I want to as well and will do it soon. So true on the coasting man I keep working on it, it’s crazy how hard it is to put it all together some corners I can do it and just trail brake in and others I just can’t figure it out lol…. I need more track time!! 😂
Great video Scout, those were some really cool laps. Thanks for sharing and ride on mate🤙
Thanks ck, I’m having way too much much fun out on the track!
Now I need to look up optimal leaning angles. I don’t ride but I’m going to soon. I’ve looked up so much on riding it’s all my algorithm now.
Haha nice, I think the max lean angle I have been to on the bike is 53* and I had room left
Nice riding, bro! I love the on screen data.
Thanks bro!
Loved watching this, thank you for sharing and well ridden.
Thanks Stephen! I just can’t get enough track time
Looks like a ton of fun! Thanks for sharing Scout! What's your favorite thing about your R7? It sounds awesome 👌
Thanks bro, it really is. I’d have to say how noble it is and the torque down low makes it feel like a bigger bike than it is. I’m looking forward to changing the gearing
Awesome!
Thanks bro
Nice riding Scouts
Thanks bro!
EXCELLENT Scout!! Really nice watch my friend... And the graphics you had up on the screen were exactly right... Really sucked you into the session seeing how you would fare ib each lap!
Also though... If that scrapping sound wasn't from your elbow and shoulder while you were hanging your ass off the edge of the seat... I'm going to be VERY dissappointed!! Hahaha
Thanks bro, I just can’t seem to get enough track time lol I’m loving it.
Oh I’m way past the shoulder drag, that’s totally my helmet 😂
@@ScoutsOut MM93 just called. He wants some lessons...
@@TrailTales 😂
carry more corner speed by leaning further, you're not getting far past 40* of lean angle
Yea I definitely need to keep up the corner speed, thanks for the tip
Oh boy, somebody is addicted. 😂 What's the age limit for twins cup?.
Haha yup, I don’t think there is one… well at least I hope there isn’t lol
@ScoutsOut
Motoamerica has it at 55. Keep going at it, and I look forward to seeing you on the grid next year at laguna.
So you’re telling me there’s a chance! Lol
Are you gonna change clip ons scout?
Yea, just not right now. They are still doing ok for me and I’m more focused on tires and suspension right now, all so expensive lol but I will be doing them in the future just not sure which ones to go with
Gotta ask, what app are you using to record the data with? And how do you edit that in
I’m using the RaceBox on the fuel tank to capture the data and found a program that syncs it with the video just doesn’t sync well you have to mess with it a lot then edit the video with fcp afterwards, kinda a pain
So if you had to chose either the R7 or the 4RR to turn into a dedicated track bike, which would it be and why?
Well, I have both of them and have rode them side by side on track to figure out which one I wanted to race with this year. The 4rr was easier to ride but my lap times were always muched better with the r7. The torque of the r7 and more aggressive race bike feel just made me like it better on track.
On the other side the 4rr is just more comfortable and enjoyable to ride on the street than the r7 which also probly helped the decision
Ready for the R9? 👀
Heck yea I am, I watched a few video ideas that think it will come out next year and replace the r6 which will be weird but exciting
@@ScoutsOut can't wait to see you reviewing that bike, big expectations from that one, I love the R7, the R9 has all the potential to be an absolutely awesome bike
Man R9 would be glorious, have to have one in my garage!
