Thanks for watching! Peace and love
Update: the DSPTCH Medium is now my go-to daily sling for out and about errands with my car (most common use-case for me). With that minimal load-out (as I can keep water/toiletries in the car), it is perfect and very enjoyable to carry. After two years, I think i’m finally gonna part ways with my X-Pod…

I love how excited you are about this pack, seriously consider buying it, thanks for the thorough review!
@@simple-human-being glad you enjoyed it and thank you for watching! 🤙🏽♥️
Incredibly comprehensive commentary as usual. Laughed throughout and thoroughly enjoyed the review. Keep them comingg
Thanks for the kind words & for your viewership! 🥰🤙🏼
I really appreciate this review. I've been contemplating this bag vs the x-pod for about a month now and I just can't figure which I prefer. It was hard to find a good review on this bag online - really challenging. This review really helped!
Hey, thanks for watching and i’m so glad this helped! I replied to you on reddit but I’ll paste it here as well for others:
I’m biased towards the X-Pod because I find that it’s unique unstructured design makes it very versatile, albeit at the cost straightforwardness. It might take [a little effort](ua-cam.com/video/wfORGWEQ9p8/v-deo.html) to get the X-Pod configured how you like it, but once you do I think it’s a bit more versatile. That said, the DSPTCH medium is simpler and I prefer the sturdy attachment point webbing on the exterior, and I also enjoyed how it sits well a bit lower on the body which is kinda nice for easy access of items.
I think it comes down to what you plan on carrying. If your carry will be fairly consistent, as in you won’t need to fit that extra oddly shaped item in there sometimes, then the DSPTCH is a great option. But if your carry varies more, I’d go X-Pod.
This is a great review, thank you for this!
My pleasure, thanks for watching! ❤️
Both cute! I wanna share to you my favorite travel bag, it's a Nomad Lane Bento bag and it packs like a suitcase! You will love it.
Just checked it out, looks like a great flight bag! Thanks for sharing! 🤙🏼
You're hilarious! Good content mate
Thanks to you I decided to go for both (medium and small size). I notice the price is a quite bit higher and read another comment about some changes are now for V2. I'm excited to get them and test them to see how comfortable are they!!! Thank you for your videos and I will suscribe to your channel now!!! 👍🏼
Glad the videos were helpful, thanks for the sub, and hope you enjoy them! 🤙🏼
I got the Slim Pouch Slim and it became my go to when I need just the basic 3 EDC items: Keys, wallet, phone. With that one you really have to keep it...well... slim? It's just really flat and that's what makes it awesome. Will never bulk and fits perfectly under a jacket. If you need anything else you can add a small pouch with a carabiner but in that case I would just go with a bigger sling. But honestly DSPTCH makes awesome gear, I love them.
That’s awesome! I wish I was able to be such a minimalist, but I tend to always want to carry just one more thing haha.
Cheers for the review buddy. I’ve been looking for something that will fit my phone and a power bank just for those long days out. This might be it. Luckily enough it’s available in the UK. 👍🏻👍🏻
If the charger is slim enough and the phone isn’t a “max” then it should fit! Good luck with your search mate!
@@CarryQuandaries Ok cool, thanks for that. I’ve only got lowly a SE 2020 😋. Fingers crossed one of my power banks will fit nicely. Thanks again 👍🏻
Thanks for showing us this sling. I just picked up the medium ballistic nylon and the camo cordura versions (yes both!) from DSPTCH since they were on sale for like $60 each- for a made in USA sling- that's hard to beat. They replaced it recently with a V2 that comes in at about double the price and gets rid of that see through mesh while adding sealed zippers looks like- but I prefer the look of this more. I bought it to hopefully fit a Fuji X100V in vertically on one side while phone and wallet occupies the other half.
Congrats on your purchase! However, the sling is quite slim so it wouldn’t be my first choice for a camera with a protruding lens…but please do update if you manage to make it work!
@@CarryQuandaries Yeah, fingers crossed! I hate carrying a boxy camera pouch with a ton of padding so I am hoping since the X100V is 2.1" and the depth of the sling is apparently 2.5", I should be in with a third of an inch of clearance :)
The medium size reminded me Topo Designs Quick Pack, i thought you can put many stuff on the main compartment, found out it's a bit tight like quick pack. I really like the small version.
Interesting. I actually switched over to the Medium as my minimal daily EDC and I love it. The Small looks really nice but for me it is a bit small. Btw i’m selling the small in the video if you’re interested. (You fan find me @carryquandaries on IG).
Thanks for watching!
great vid. bought the small one they only have it in black would love it in camo
I think my camo one is still lying around somewhere-I’d be willing to sell it to you if you’re interested. Dm me on IG (@carryquandaries) or email me (sbern@hey,com) if you wanna take it off my hands. Thanks for watching!
Have you tried the Annex Carrier 3-Way Sling? It's like the X-Pod but smaller
I actually have not…this Black Friday I ordered the Annex Case as well as the Annex Liner, so i’m looking forward to playing around with those!
Very helpful video, thank you. Do you think a Sony a7c with a small lens would fit in the medium sling? DSPTCH lists the medium sling depth at 2.5” and the Sony height is 2.8”, is there enough flexibility in the sling to accommodate it or is it rather stiff and structured? Any chance you have tried out a DSPTCH Daypack yet? Also, thank you for the best backpack video you helped to eliminate a couple of bags for me.
Thanks for your kind words Jason! I think the medium would be too tight given that it is fairly structured and narrow. Perhaps the large size would fit though. I have not tried their daypack yet but I just picked up their slingpack small and that’s a great size for a camera plus a small water bottle and maybe an ipad. You can also look into Rofmia Shoulder bag medium which I reviewed on here which should fit your camera nicely. Although totally different aesthetically, my favorite camera shoulder bag remains the Billingham Hadley Small. Good luck, and let me know which one you settle on!
Thank you for the fast response and great suggestions.
@@jjs235 you’re most welcome, thanks for watching!
Did your medium sling come with the black zipper pulls? Or did it come with the white ones like in the website's pictures and you just bought extra zipper pulls?
It came with the dark ones! I kinda would have preferred the white ones…
@@CarryQuandaries maaaan I wish I knew that before buying it yesterday. I thought it would come with the white ones, those look so much better on the bag.
@@Roy-mx2bz worst case scenario you can always get some white ones on amazon:

Can the Cross Pod be worn lower on the chest like the Dsptch?
It can, but it isn’t really designed to be worn very low.
Hi, nice slings
but if I want sling for date i would go with bellroy lite sling, it is very nice sling,
i just ordered aer day sling 2 xpac one as i think it is very beautifier and comfortable sling
i really would like see you review bellroy lite sling, i like it a lot because i would put water bottle and camera and other thing freely and stay have nice look
I haven’t used my Lite Sling very much…I agree it looks nice though. But date-worthy? Hmmm
I’ll try to shoot a vid about it tomorrow and upload it in the coming days 🤙🏽
have you tried the brown buffalo conceal sling or waistpack?
have not tried the conceal sling but I use the waistpack daily for my walks! it's great if you need something minimal for just phone wallet and keys. I'll review it one of these days.
@@CarryQuandaries looking forward to it, thanks! Looking good with the weight loss, keep it up bud!
@@714SNF thank you buddy!
Does the medium one fit a 600ml water bottle?
Would be a tight fit. Better go with the large for that use case.
does the small fit an iPad mini?
Nope!
Great video.. Did you keep the medium also?
Thanks, Mela! I did indeed, although I’ll probably sell it because my living room is completely covered in slings 😅
@@CarryQuandaries Other than having to many slings why? I was debating on the medium DSPTCH or the Moment Fanny/sling…
@@galcar Well, in practice I still seem to be gravitating towards my X-Pod and don’t really see a situation in which I’d prefer using the DSPTCH…actually I can, (with nicer outfits) but it’s not often enough to justify keeping it. Between the DSPTCH and the Moment: They wear differently on the body…Moment has cool colors, but overall I prefer the DSPTCH.
@@CarryQuandaries Do you have the moment fanny sing? If so can you do a review on that. If possible. Thank you.
@@galcar I only owned the Moment sling for like a week before returning it. That was an original version, not sure if they changed it since then. I might repurchase one at some point but right now I have other bags in the review queue.
By the way, the DSPTCH Medium in this vid has become my daily sling! This means i’m probably selling my X-Pod. Also, I decided to sell the smaller DSPTCH in the vid as I realized a fanny/lumbar pack is best for walking. Just thought I’d keep you up to date haha.
Buckles helpful when wearing a coat with a hood.
Good point!
Does the Flipbelt water bottle leak?
Typically no, but if you squeeze the bottle a certain way, it can leak just a tiny bit. But in regular use I haven’t found it to be an issue. But then again, I don’t use it the regular way, I keep the quick sip portion closed at all times and just unscrew it to drink.
What is your current go-to sling?
Still X-Pod
I’ve been using the Porter Force shoulder bag
@@phillycheaseman never heard of them, looks like a great bag! Can it fit an 11 inch iPad Pro?
@@CarryQuandaries I think the iPad might be a little too tall
I've been really enjoying the aer day sling 2. I do hope they redesign for more practical pocket anatomy, but it's been serving my needs well. I had also purchased the city sling 2 and it went back immediately. X-pod looks awesome, but it's a little pricey for me atm (your mod is making it tempting though).
I like the medium shoulder bag look vs the sling!
Yeah, I like both, but the lower position is a little more elegant.
Thanks for watching!
What does that mean; "running arons" something like that ?!? I have no clue about it !!

@@ovidiumoc.3904 sorry I don’t actually understand Romanian. Just used google translate to help you understand. I buy all the bags with my own money.
To expensive for me. Nice packs.
