Just to clarify, this lams version is 655cc not 689cc like the high output version. So one would assume if you did similar work to a 689cc you may get a higher hp figure.
Is there a big downside to exposed filters like that? I LOVE the look of them, and the power too, but I've heard they can be more maintenance and more concern in rainy weather.
How much would that be at the crank hp wise ?? And how much more power would this setup achiev on a mt07 689cc (HO) model ? Also have a question , I have a cheap shitty muffler and mid pipe , could you still flash my ecu if I do filters and remove the restriction stuff ?? Thanks mate will be buying asap
Having Afterpay makes it so good haha I get my bike on Tuesday 🎉 have a r6 right now but it’s just annoying great bike but too fast and uncomfortable. Don’t get me wrong it’s a unbelievable bike and insanely fast but sometimes the slower things are more fun 🤷♂️
I am curious about torque figures, because I´m pretty sure that with that filter configuration you must have destroyed the bottom end, and looking at the power figure that you are getting (69 RWHP, which in the end is the power figure of a non-restricted stock mt07), that stage 3 is worthless to me. With an intake runner of 0mm, you are virtually destroying the engine behaviour and response
This is awesome! The only downside I can see is that anyone with an MT07 will never be able to sell it or trade it in, because of the mods it would never pass roadworthy (RWC) to transfer ownership.
You'll get wet lol. Seroiusly though, it wont be a problem everything is well covered and its highly unlikely you will get water hitting the air filters. You can also buy a sock to put over the filters for added protection should it be an issue.
Basically they restrict the motorcycle from factory to be able to sell them as LAMS approved motorcycles (for learner riders) and what they do in this video is unrestricted the motorcycle to it's full potential.
@@temperspace yeah basically. But there’s no point in “derestricting” it. Cause there is no restriction is already doing it’s max thing while everything’s still stock. In the end the HO has a few more ccs so it’s in theory faster but in reality they end up having the same output as each other when the non-HO is derestricted
I think it's at 75 at the crankcase stock vs (now) 70 at the wheel which would translate to 80 at the crankcase (70x1.15) people estimate that 15% is lost from crankcase to wheel...I'm not an expert at this (trying to figure it out myself)
Depends on where you are as well. This one is in Australia where it is a LAMS (learner approved motorcycle). They are restricted like crazy in comparison to other countries. My 2021 mt07 in Canada doesn't have nearly as many restrictions as these start off with. Earlier videos of this bike was making something like 46 hp at the wheel
dynobike.com.au/product/yamaha-mt07-stage-3-lams-mail-in-ecu-flash-tune-derestrict-14-21/
Do you sell just the parts without the flash? I'm in Seattle ,USA. Also curious how the air box modification hold up to heavy rain
Just watched the stage 2 derestrictor video and this one seems much more lively!
Hi mate, Done any testing with the 2021 model yet? I'm looking at getting a derestrict and tune shortly
Now with abit of modification you can fit an r6 rear shock in the space where the air box used to live.
Great video! Would be interesting to see what gains you would possibly get by adding velocity stacks to the pod filters. Have you already tried this?
6:23 - Big smile... Big kid and his cool toys! Jolly right!... as the Brit's might say.

That's correct
Gonna need to send mine over to your for some upgrades! :)
Great job. Can you please tell us the detailed differences between 14'-17' and 18'-20' models restriction differences?
Is there a big downside to exposed filters like that? I LOVE the look of them, and the power too, but I've heard they can be more maintenance and more concern in rainy weather.
Take my money! This is awesome.
What’s the fastest mt you’ve dynoed? Highest hp and torque. Have one and want to get it at peak.

Two questions, first can you provide a flash and the intake filters for the 2022 R7? Second, do you ship to the US?
qual o diâmetro da bocas dos filtro ?
Noones gonna pay 2k for air filters and an ECU reflash...thats fucking absurd...and after all that you have 70hp....????

the chart a 7:07 is the torque figures
Just curious, if you disable the o2 sensor, do you still need to move it?
If you buy our tune you can remove the 02 if you wish or leave it connected. Either way it's not active
My 2019 mt07, has maverick full system exhaust, dna air filter and woolich makes 77hp
All Dynos read different and there are many things operators can do to fudge numbers..
This is a LAMS model. 660cc not 689CC
That intake should suck up all the water
Confused sure I’ll spec are 74bhp std
Not the LAMS version.
Hi david With your stage 3 tune do you map it to run on 98 only?
95 or 98 is fine
This is awesome! The only downside I can see is that anyone with an MT07 will never be able to sell it or trade it in, because of the mods it would never pass roadworthy (RWC) to transfer ownership.
Depends where you live
I did a roady in Victoria, they had to put the airbox back on... What a prick of a job
Do you have a link for the oil breather hose??
We only sell it as part of the stage 3 kit
Where can I buy that breather filter can’t find it on DNA
We carry all the filters in stock
What is he doing to header? (2:20)
putting a o2 sensor into the exhaust system so that he can read the air fuel mixtures
Why is it just 70hp? Stock is 74hp
That's 74hp at the crank. He's measuring it at the wheel.
@@louisvaldivia9260 oh ok thankyou! That seemed so strange just 70 haha
What are the risks with rain?

@@Dynobike1992 thank you!! I’ll do it
I would worry more because of heat from engine down below.
I have this stage 3 set up, when I serviced my bike at Yamaha, they oiled the filters,
Why is the first try only 46hp? Is it a 35kw version?
Please keep your claims and comments to Horsepower, this channel does not work in KW. A stock Lams MT-07 produces around 45HP.
Basically they restrict the motorcycle from factory to be able to sell them as LAMS approved motorcycles (for learner riders) and what they do in this video is unrestricted the motorcycle to it's full potential.
Ok thanks. In portugal they sell both 45hp and 75hp.
I have the 75hp one
@@motorato1 here they sell both as well.
If I do that in the 75hp how much power it will increase?
Why stage 3 a LAMS MT07 when you could stage 3 a normal one for increased power? Surely LAMS is the restricted version
It’s because in the land down under we don’t get the regular Mt-07 cause of laws
Isn't the MT07 HO the "normal one" ?
@@temperspace yeah basically. But there’s no point in “derestricting” it. Cause there is no restriction is already doing it’s max thing while everything’s still stock. @@400chevlc Whats nonsense?
I dont understand how this "stage 3" mt07 has got just under 70hp while the stock ones are 75hp??
