PayPal has so many dumb clauses for them to not honor their Buyer protection.
Even if you don't state anywhere that it's for resale, if they can somehow fabricate and string together that you might, they will deny your dispute. Oh and per-orders are not covered either, so don't ever mention that anywhere or you automatically lose the dispute again. Always, always pay with credit card so you can fall back on that when PayPal inevitably fails you.
Need a Grifter Hall of Fame, Kurt, Sean, Lamar… some real rockstars have been through these videos.

the real question is why does pay pal care weather I keep or resale my property! plus at that amount it a felony. pay pal still got their amount from the service. hope lamar pays his sale tax since he a seller of goods to government.
It really is strange that this is even a thing in the PayPal ToS.
If anything you would actually think that PayPal ToS would have the absolute opposite of this in there.
Like if someone is buying something and going to resell it there is a really good chance that they will do so using PayPal and therefore it would result in PayPal making even more money due to the transaction fees.
So that makes it even more odd to me that they have that clause or whatever in the ToS. It will just force people to figure out some other way to exchange payments.
Either way I'm honestly surprised that PayPal hasn't updated said anything or updated/changed that in the ToS as even though it's been a short time-frame and probably just a tiny portion of who uses PayPal I gotta imagine it's had some negative impact even if small financially and also in public view

It's not unusual for legit people in the hobby to then turn into scammy scumbags
Just think about it as it makes a lot of sense because anyone that is really familiar with pokemon or any other tcg/hobby can usually easily tell when some newcomer comes along trying to scam because they don't seem to know much of anything about the hobby yet "willing" to spend big money on something or somehow have all kinds of extremely valuable items from that hobby and it just usually doesn't add up.
Sure you occasionally have some daddy selling little Timmy's collection and doesn't know anything about it but that doesn't happen all that often so if you have someone just saying things that are completely wrong or doesn't make sense then 99.8% of the time it's a scammer.
So long story short a good scammer or atleast someone trying to be a good scammer would be smart to do it legit for a bit.
Ya know to learn the terminology, to learn about the hobby, learn what's valuable and not outside of just knowing some charizards can be worth a lot haha, and also probably most importantly to build a positive reputation in the hobby.
If you got a seller who has a good number of transactions then a lot of people buying/selling won't even think twice about doing business with them even though in the end of the day they are a stranger.
That's when a scammer can get people for big money. Either big dollar sales and don't send or receive big dollar items because they know what sells, they know what's valuable, they got a good reputation and people that vouch for them, etc etc.
It's smart in a way. So instead of scamming someone out of a $20 or even $100 where it isn't really worth the risk now you can scam someone for $19,000 or whatever it was this guy got scammed for.
That's big money to a ton of people

Good job, man. Stuff like this is why I love your content, man. Not only does it shine a light on the scum in our hobby but it shows the bigger picture of how it could affect anyone through platforms a lot of people use.
How is anyone still doing a deal for more than like $100 without first checking to see if the person they are dealing with has ever been featured or on the Discord list…. just silly, be better people don’t get scammed
