Important thing to note about accufake mega: They are used for these mega springers because they have rebated heads. (The rubber head/tips are of a narrower diameter than the foam). This means they don't rub against barrels and cause massive performance issues like with regular size waffle/accufake darts. A "worker megadart" would be about similar performance if the weight is the same.
Smh didnt know that. Watching this video i was going to try and convert something to half length mega since i have many mega blasters and mega accustrike darts. Now im not so sure because what you are saying makes sense and is a bummer. Great point to make tho. Thanks man.
Do rebated Accufakes exist in standard darts? Could always compare those vs Worker if they do.
@@BradleyPhillipsYT AFAIK they don't. Would be nice to see though, since they would be a good universal dart for flywheels and springers.
Not really, the accufakes that worker sells do not have the rebated heads, and the heads are smaller (grey accufake head w blue/red body)
@@BradleyPhillipsYT No But REAL accustrike rebated heads exist… the new stryfe x darts are rebated.
There exist a drum variant of the magazine that hold 22 rounds that I helped design, and it solves some of the feeding issue of the magazine
I'm excited to see how half length mega darts perform. That BCAR looks absurd!
So far, with my Ice Phoenix. I'm sold on it. They're slighlty shorter than a Moose's dart length though... so yay! proprietary ammo...
Your content in this hobby is next to none. You are easily in the top 10 internationally. And personally my #1.
Same
If it had that built in da-dung "recoil" like a centaurion that would make it the most completely awesome Mega blaster ever.. wait it already is. Nice video like always, thank you from the States.
M0053-2 is using a turnaround system that drives the plunger toward the shoulder. Probably gives you the feel you want.
@@MisplacedMoosean even bigger bruise after using

Considering that it is the first of the held length mega primary that’s an amazing blaster. I would love more of these monsters.
Now that is innovation in blasterland! Take points workers, dart zones, x shots and nerfs of this world.
Good looking blaster. It's interesting to see Joules being talked about. I think the usual 'min distance' to tag someone, with this beast would be around 60ft, I would guess the joules would drop by half by that distance . Obviously it stung at the muzzle but hopefully at 60ft it will just 'remind ' one that it is there.
One word. Impressive!!! This is the mega blaster we have all been longing for.
dude i live in adelaide and i really wanna go there. I'd love to bring my nerf blasters there. does anyone know where that is?
I've had one of Capt. Slug's MegaBurns for several years, your video is causing me to consider it's replacement. Thanks for the awesome video, keep up the great work.
This is gonna be a good one, moose is amazing!
Congratulations once again, Moose. This blaster it terrifying in the best way possible. Great work!
Wah I'm looking forward owned these mega blaster
It was a lot of fun seeing Moose develop this blaster. Such a monster.
Almost perffect, I hope Worker or other big brand does not make one of their own, cause I'll have to buy it no matter the cost 😅
Half length elites and half lenth megas. Now why dont they do half length rival
Nerf Hyper?
50 cal foam balls you can get with monkeemods firefly. Multi load real nice in a shell.
Nerf 50cal.
I have an unhealthy love of MEGA. And we have been using modified MEGA's in one particular modified MEGA Integration I built 3 or 4 years ago. We were limited by length of barrel the blaster came with from hasbro, maybe 3inches in freedom units...sorry, what meant to say was 7.62 cm. God, that hurt to say.
It wasn't easy at the time to find 16mm ID barrel material and then I got sick, so after coming out of hiatus, I've been able to now source barrel material.
I can tell you, some MEGA darts prefer a 17mm barrel cause they're knock-offs. And, they're not quite upto even hasbro quality. And while I get some accurate MEGA's when they were readily available, I'm not sure how many I have.
At any rate, the blasters power level far beyond the structural integrity of anyone's MEGA projectile, we were forced to produce MEGA Slugs.😎
But, more on that later.
One thing to note that I do with my Ice Phoenix is use standard size foam as a core for my cut down megs, so they hold form better in mags and feed more consistently. While it won't solve the mag not feeding fully, it'll definitely save the darts and make those times it's slightly low less likely to fail.
Hey Bradley, does a K14 fit around a Pro26 spring? I want to make a double spring for extra power but I'm not sure if the K14 is big enough to fit around a Pro26.
I'd love to see a half dart conversion kit if there is one!!
I've got centurion sized magazines that'll work in anything that takes that size magazine that'll feed half length megas.
I think they mean make it shoot standard darts. I think it would only shoot around 390fps if we keep energy the same. Plenty of other springers can do that with standard darts.
yes i have made one. if you go to mooses folder, under metric m0053, its there.
You should try a Worker inside of the mega dart, you'd have 4g or 4.5g darts for even better range
True, though the weight would be further back than if it were just all in the tip. Not sure how well they'd go.
yo wait i've just seen smth really weird. bradley posted the pinned comment 2 weeks ago, but the video was only posted 6 days ago.. hmmm
Hmmmmmmmmmm
It may sound strange to say, but if this blaster has a scar barrel, I'd be using regular cut down megas.
Nice overview of the blaster, and such dedication taking one for the team shooting your own hand 👏🏻
In addition to the fake accustrike head style, the thickness of the foam ratio is awful with mega darts. If the back of the dart ID/OD matched a worker dart (would probably also be more like 4 grams) I think the better mass to surface area would yield much better results even if the FPS dropped slightly.
Definitely this. The foam is so thin compared to the size of the dart!
much better results for what? foam thickness isnt going to be affecting much performance
@@PotatoFeeder there's only so much pressure that can be placed on the dart from the outside due to the foam deflecting
imagine a bcar that didn't need that many elements to it because there's a firmer surface to grip into and a more rebated head
yea but youre only losing like 10fps on the bcar. in the grand scale of things that speed loss from the bcar isnt significant.
i would consider a 20fps boost significant ya know, not 5fps :P @@MisplacedMoose
This was a fun video! Just listening to the darts hit the target vs your other video reviews makes that more intimidating. Great video!
Whatever happened to gel blasters😢
Pls do more…
There's only so many identical internals M4's one can try to make a different video about.
I said it once I’ll say it again SHOTGUN GEL BLASTER😂
You mentioned they were bad so I got one and their so fun
feels like your mag issue is printing issue, 7 round moose mags do not have an issue of darts getting stuck. i guess foamworks adelaide didnt calibrate their tolerances for print expansion correctly.
This is one my favorite blasters in my collection. It is so much fun to use. Moose designs great, simple, powerful blasters.
thins thing is gonna leave som bruises
I've received more bruises with this thing using it than I have delivered. Priming against the shoulder 400+ times in a day will eventually start to leave marks.
@@MisplacedMooseI can definitely agree on that. Had a deep bruise where I shouldered it lasting a couple of weeks. My hand on the other 'hand' had no mark at all from shooting point blank.
So would the mag adapter block fit a Spitfire Ranger? Or any Mega blaster?
I've built a magazine specific to the ranger or anything else that takes centurion mags that'll take half length mega. As for an adapter? That's up to tinkershot.
@@MisplacedMoose The Half Length Mega Centurion Magazine Sized?
If both yours and Tinkershots take Mega mags then your adapters should be compatible with a Ranger Spitfire.
yes @@lyonel4044
My passive adapters fill up the front of the magwell and are pinned into place through a dedicated hole. Also as built his follower doesn't go back far enough to allow a dart to feed from the thin walls I set up on the magazine. Any kind of passive adapter would require tinker to make something to work with it since he doesn't share files. @@lyonel4044
id like to see the damage it could do if we had a mega FVJ equivalent 😂
I think less piercing damage and more bludgeoning damage than a standard dart.
Are you gonna cover Spitfire Products’ Ranger Heavy chambered in Mega XL
Pretty sure the files aren't public, so would need to source one from the creator which would cost them too much in shipping.
Those hits are sooo loud 🤣
Hey Bradley
I'd wager that a scaled up Worker or PACD dart would be really good, since accufakes aren't really used anymore
What a beast of a blaster
I might get a hardware kit for that blaster at some point, since I have a couple 3D printers.
half length mega darts are something I though I would never see
Foamwork Adelaide does great printing, they printed me a SMG kit for my nightingale and it was flawless
I need one of these!
Same, it puts my XC to shame lol.
When’s the next gel soft video
When something actually new comes out in gel ball
Awesome video, I was hoping you would test 1 of these.
Tolles Video
Better not be any thumbs down, cheers man.
What a mega monster!! Would not like to be on the other end of this.
Wow. Great video as always. Loved the bonus test. That blaster is huge. Could you put it next to the harrier just so we can get a idea of it's enormity?
I'd say it's two Harriers in length
I JUST got a Caliburn B-Variant a couple weeks ago.
Which is this exact blaster just for regular half length darts.
No, this blaster is a very rough rework of the B-variant, designed by Ruppernutter. This is really just a scaled up b-variant. The b-variant does have its OWN mega version, and it hits about 180fps using full length megas with a spring half the weight of the k12 used in this blaster. There is a 2.0 b-variant in the works that has hit 220fps with full length megas, using that same much weaker spring.
I have a serious question for moose, who hurt you to the point that you created this?!?
last time I hauled out the list, youtube deleted the comment
@@MisplacedMoose damn, UA-cam is so darn restrictive
@@MisplacedMoose can you give me one reason why you made this/ who hurt you?!?

Snipings a good job mate!
but what if you "singled" this to shoot regular worker darts?
Then you'd get about 390fps or so. Nothing that other springers don't already do.
@@BradleyPhillipsYT
very true. iv seen 425 out of [insert name of blaster here]. barrel length was immense, but still seemed less bulky and unweildy than the moose
PotatoFeeder on etsy has a regular half length version of this in metric
I can make one but I don't see the point
you get 390fps, done by yours truly.
What does "singled" mean? Please...anyone.
K14 for low power LOL... Love it
It can go lower with K25 or similar, but that's really not why people get this thing.

@@kazefw3834 6 joules for a nerf gun is crazy bro
I expected more for the range test tbh. Not really viable unless worker comes out with proper half length mega darts. Even with that, I dont see the point in using mega besides from sniping
nah, the cross sectional area is the issue. it fires with 3x the energy, but also 3x the head area. it already goes further than a half length at the same fps, which is good for flat fps cap games. but there is no way to get around the increased air resistance since thats just the caliber
