- Conrail still ran the Chicago Line on March 23, 1997. On this day a variety of trains and power were seen hauling passengers and freight through Wauseon, Ohio. Amtrak, BN, C&NW, NS, UP, and of course Conrail power all made appearances.
You had a great day in Wauseon... Looks like you had non-stop trains.... Thanks for sharing...
the amazing old unpatched Conrail it was good back in the late 90's before mid 1999 when been diverted to the Norfork Southern and the CSXT missed the good old days great catches!!

I was born in 1999 and the Chicago line is viewable from my house. And the last conrail unit I saw was probably about a year and a half ago. Haven't see one since 😔 but I remember when they were a bit more frequently used. Probably from 2002-2009
Man i miss the good old days!!! Very nice video..
Miss seeing those blue Conrail Locomotives and hearing the Leslie rs3l on them
I miss seeing Conrail and hearing those RS3L's, sounds so mean like music to my ears
This is amazing, the power is just unreal.
Awesome video! This reminds me of when I was pretty young. I grew up near the Conrail Michigan Line around the same time you took this video. Watching this took me back... Thanks for posting.
The CNW operation lifesaver was a really cool catch!
Fantastic video! I liked the snow shots towards the end. Its a great flashback!

Brian $ellers; have Southern Pacific/Cotton Belt ever run that line back then?
Hello we are currently working on a Chicago Line UA-cam documentary and we were wondering if we could use this footage for the documentary?
