How to Pass an IME

  • IME stands for independent medical evaluation or exam. An IME doctor is supposed to offer an honest medical opinion for a patient, based on the records they review, and their exam of the patient which includes a history and physical. An IME differs a little from a normal doctor’s appointment in that the doctor does not form a treatment plan or plan on seeing the patient back again. They are simply making their best medical opinion based on the information that they have.

I had surgery I got to go back for three more surgeries. I want to one of their IMEs they found me 100% disabled. Workmen’s Compensation didn’t like that she found me 100% disabled so now they’re sending me to another one. Got a love them.

Hi DR, I was honest and I was treated like crap and he said that my limited because of a callus on my hand. So honesty doesn't make it any better really because he took 15% off my permanent impairment because of that callus. I gave my best shot at doing everything he asked and I also explained that my pain was high and he mocked me for this.

IME docs are operating like every other (look the other way) medical practitioner, today... And it's often blatantly, obvious! (Precisely WHY the US in now ranked around 40th vs. 2nd in the world for medical care, vs. a few decades ago.) "For profit," healthcare... is oxymoron! If it isn't irrefutable, on film(s), and someone actually made a proper "diagnosis," odds are very high that they will, simply ignore it. (The radiologists are also 'missing' things, right and left.... Then the MD defers to their incomplete, inaccurate, or overlooked, diagnosis.)

Hello Dr paull, I just watched this video of yours out of curiosity,
As recently I had to see a insurance orthopedic surgeon for assessment in my country Australia he is listed as a sira orthopedic surgeon assessor. Well I'll get to my point, I was hit by a car and vaulted into a back flip 8 to 9 feet backwards my left foot had three fractured all in the center bones of my ankle, after having bone scan I have bilaterial forminal stenosis of cervical with end plate touching, and thoracic kink, and two bulging disk with lineal tear, at first I felt like I was bashed up with a sleage hammer now I feel like I'm slowly becoming crippled, anyways this sira doctor did minimal physical examination but he moved my arms around forcibly and I had told him about what happens with how my neck and arms feel and how it's a very deep tired aching and some pins and needles in my left arm that runs through two fingers and that this whole arm goes to sleep if I've falling asleep on that side of my body, well anyway after seeing him I have felt extremely down as the way he rotated my arms around forcibly my neck is back to its burning and stiffness and my muscle's running down my arms from my collar bone are aching as if like they have been hit and are sore from muscle bruising. And I feel like what now has he just done as when he moved my left arm around and put it behind my back it just was crunching non stop I said to him its crunching and all he said was yes I heard that, I don't feel I saw a professional doctor I feel I saw a doctor who is compromised and what happened to me the day I was hit by that car has left me injured and a so called professional could man handle my body like I was a rag doll so you must be aware of the EMI doctor's who really don't care about the injured they have become the insurance company's doctor with no real interest in the injured ones maybe or hopefully you stay honest as people like me are out there needing a EMI doctor to do the right thing because the ones who have been really injured need to be treated right

the IME doctor is not a typical specialist. They are there to discredit you or minimize your medical conditions and they are paid by the insurance company to be favorable to the desires of the insurance company (the other side).
They are not your trustworthy doctor abiding by the Hippocratic Oath. They are shady crooks with an agenda. Do not trust them as you would your own doctor.
I should have recorded audio of mine, as the doctor invented things and literally lied, saying I had "extensive prior treatment", when I had never had a prior injury to have even had treatment of any kind. And I said no such thing about having prior injuries or prior treatment. He out-an-out fabricated lies out of thing air.
I encourage everyone to secretly record. It is proof of what actually was said.
It is probably not legal or admissible but it can hold the doctor accountable if you find his report is a scam and you can show where he lied or created something out of thin air, even if it is in saying you have proof via a recording.
I have heard you should be able to have a friend sit in on the exam as a witness.
Even if you notice inaccuracies in the so-called doctor's report, and ask to have them correct it, they make it extremely difficult and almost impossible to get the report changed.
It is a terrible racket and one should go in expecting all cards to be stacked against you.

I also got paid weekly and a Settlement! A settlement double the amount of the same type of an injury of someone I know in my area.
I would never have gotten this far or much less a settlement without my “attitude” and not allowing this corrupt system to f@ck me over. Not to mention I also was able to switch doctors to the top doctor in my type injury where I am from.
