Yeah, i'm a big fan of this game. It's nice to see a crafting/survival game with no zombies or something silly that you have to contend with.
Completely agree on a ‘normal’ crafting survival game, zombie play was getting a bit much tbh.
Always hated the zombie part of every decent game anymore..

GE great vids as always man. You light your fire with your torch by looking at the base of the fire itself, it has two functions the base/stone part is for roasting and the pot for soup and stuff. Also saw a bison/buffalo taken out with two starter spears (only one head shot) it seemed pretty slow on the defense response time so if you can get the second shot in before it it goes mad they go down nicely and give alot more meat.
Whenever I see "Show me your wares" in a game, I'm reminded of the way female Goblin vendors in WoW say "Can I... show you my wares?" It always got me wondering exactly which "wares" they were talking about.
Definitely enjoy playing and watching.

Hey, hi, great vid! New viewer here. About the requirement for a log to craft some of the tools: to make long handles from scratch you need to split a tree trunk in sections, or find a young tree of the right size, so I guess the game designers simplified it to 'log' . :)

Definately a happy builder game. Good to see no zombie or dinosaurs trying to eat you while you build in this one. Love the era genre too.
This looks awesome, The changing season aspect to it is interesting, making you constantly think ahead. I'd love to see more of this series
It is, its like the game subsistence that he plays, the seasons chsnge and you have to adapt to the challenges that come with the different seasons. However I feel like 3 days per season is quite short. I feel like they should give you 12 days or something, that way you have ample time to farm and harvest crops and prepare for the winter months as they would be harsh and unforgiving in the medieval times. So three days feels super short, especially depending on how long it takes to grow crops. I mean look at the amount of food he has to eat just to keep his hunger up. Hed have to have 4 16x16 farm plots down with all food to then make into recipes and god knows how much dried and cooked meat to sustain himself.
Sean Organ I just started playing today, and I have to agree that seasons are to short, although I think they should make each season 1-3 days longer, even though they would need to add that same amount of time to the grow period for plants and animals.
I hope their is a way to become a blacksmith. Blacksmiths were a vital element to any village, they made nails to build with, forged tools, buckets, and often forged horse shoes for animals as well as axe heads, knives spear heads and ...well the list goes on and on. I would like to see that in the game, but I've seen nothing to indicate it's possible, maybe not in the game yet? Anyways great vid GE.
Wash bin is 2 logs in the miscellaneous buildings. And you can cook meet straight on the fire not in the pot.
Inspector mode using stamina is a solid idea for the game. If you don't need it you can go a bit faster. You can use it to track your spears (or arrows) if they get stuck in an animal that runs away, unless they break.

Occasionally hold left Alt to use survivor vision, it will highlight the broadleaf plants, and you'll notice them in clusters. Also get he survival perk that highlights more stuff to make find more stuff.
Yeah also GE id love to see a big series on this game, and maybe take a poll but I love your videos a lot but i feel like theyre over so quickly. Id love nothing more than hour long videos or 45 minute videos! Atleast for this series where you have SOOOO much you can do. Anyways, keep up the good work dude!
You can use inspector mode "L Alt" when hunting to find your thrown spears. You'll be amazed at how many times you just loose them in the brush if your not careful. Really enjoying the game hope you make this a series.
Looks great so far, I also can't help to notice while you where hunting the Boars, I saw a pop up come up on your screen saying you are dirty. Could be one reason why you get minus when talking to people. If that is the case, you may want to invest in a wash tub before you talk to people.
Anon walking into deeper water will clean you up as well.
I'd watch a series of this go for it, I don't mind watching longer episodes too, if I don't have time I just pause and continue watching later.

Traps are a necessity, soon you will be too busy to dedicate some of the day stocking up on meats and furs so having a few traps with unlocked skill so you can lay more will net you enough meat over the seasons to never go hungry in seasons where you cant eat mushrooms or berries. I recommend selling the mushrooms and Berries. You can make up to 300 gold per copse. ABC always be selling.
I love that they use plantain as the health plant. It's actually great plant for treating cuts and stings, among other things. I've studied medicinal and edible wild plants and also play a lot of survival games. I really appreciate when developer's go the extra mile for accuracy lile this. Defiantly on my steam wishlist now.

You can get rid of the stumps by putting farm plots over them
punch em and they vanish
My farm plot goes red when I try this... never tried punching them... I feel they are this way for a reason as in they may have plans for the stumps in the future as they did in lumberjacks dynasty...

Yeah I dont understand why people give good videos a thumbs down... its always bothered me why people do that. Ive been using youtube FOREVER, and Im pretty sure ive only thumbs downed like 2 videos and thats because they were people who were saying offensive stuff in their videos. I dont get why people watch something they dont like. Ive never seen a video on youtube with all positive thumbs up. Its beginning to make me wonder if the UA-cam algorithm automatically gives a thumbs down for every so many thumbs up maybe?
Maybe you can cook plain meat in the campfire? The pot inside may work like a stove, for combining multiple ingredients into more complex dishes worth more health and stamina than just cooked meat.

Please for the love of everything,please keep this series going stronger than the other series... I also went to the village directly south from the starting area and found a blacksmith selling some great stuff like a pickaxe for 440 gold... I also found out in one of the farm sheds outside the starting village has 5 iron hoes and 5 scythes... you can steal them with one penalty and if you either equip them or store them in your own storage they become yours to sell... a bit of an exploit so hopefully they are watching you and you can mention it to them so they can fix this... also I'm getting a frozen black screen when I sleep to change seasons sometimes... I'm curious if you get the same issue... also the last day of each season seems to last twice as long as the other 2 days... in your inventory tab it shows your food, water, and all that in the lower right hand corner... under the temp rating there's a poison/illness bar and a "stinky" character bar... use the washtub to clean up so when you talk to people they don't dislike what you say...
You can cook steaks on the small campfire, and I seen a skill to reduce hunger and thirst depletion, I think it was a 'survival' skill. It said 10% reduction, but it may stack, I don't know.
Id like if there was a guard patrol where sometimes if theres a robbery in a nearby town, i.e you steal something, they come to your farm to question you. And if you dont answer them in the way they like, they check your chests for stolen loot. hell, even some sort of activity on roads or in the countryside would be cool.

Hey @GameEdge you can make money by spam making stone axes or Spears or Knifes and just go sell them, make more money then sticks or log at 1 gold each. Great game, loving the series!!!

Also, I was a bit confused by the healing herb being called "plantains", since the only thing I knew of by that name is the cooking banana.
I looked it up, and it turns out that the same name is used for a completely unrelated european plant also known as Plantago,which is apparently used as a herbal remedy for all manner of ailments. I learned something today, thanks!!

Broadleaf Plantain (irl) is a super food for humans. A serious powerhouse as well as medicinal! Look it up, you'll be surprised.
I think you have to give cheesy compliments to raise your disposition.
I like the music and the look of this world. It's rather slow-paced, but that suits a medieval world.
I watched you play this, then I watched somebody else play it, then I bought it lol It actually works pretty decently on an older PC that doesn't quite meet the requirements if you turn the settings mostly down low. I have an older AlienWare I7 Steam Machine that is playing it. That surprised me. Also, if you press R on the cooking or crafting option, you can change how many you want to make. You can also do a F + E I believe when transferring or selling items to max out how many you want to do rather than use the mouse. Makes it go quicker.
I think this one is gonna be a banger 100% keep up the great content my dude.

@0:45 The weight is in kilograms. I know it is a complete drag to use the SI system based on actual physical constants of nature, instead of proper imperial system, based on medieval "I say it's weight is one pound, and since I am a king, I am right" way of doing things, but there it is ... ;)

The balancing of stamina, hunger and season length is an urgent issue in my opinion. The game is generally very well finished but these three issues are really irritating.

Bro, you dont need to place spears in consecutive slots, once you throw one, another spear is automatically placed into your hands
