Just a little tip, don’t marry any of the non-hireable villagers, especially Inga. They bug out after they have your kid. Only marry the random villagers that you can hire into your town. Please like this comment folks so he can see this and not have to restart like I did.
You can see who you are able to hire, they are marked as people on your directional bar. And when you are close to them, you can use your spidersense (ALT) to check their skills.
Putting male and female villagers in the same house will give you babies. Read the management tabs carefully. You can use the building tab to see which jobs they have and who has the skills for it. You can use that tab to chose what they craft at some stations. Or how fast to process thongs like rye or flax
@5:41 - Lore-uh-lie (the girls in my house had me watch Gilmore Girls.... er... I mean I know from the song by Styx :) ). Nice video - keep them coming!
Trees regrow every 2 years. Will be handy with the lumber shed limit in the future for area. Also check out their skills before asking someone to join. They vary a fair bit skill wise
if you want to get rid of tree stumps or rocks (to clean up the aesthetic of your village) put a farm plot down over the stump/rock you want gone. the plot will delete said stump/rock and then just take your hammer in destroy mode and destroy the plot.
4 Tips for recruiting people. 1. They are almost always around the campfire. 2. Inspector mode will show their stats. 3. Their dialog will have recruiting message no matter percentage. 4. They rotate new people in every season.
I've seen other people say that if the chest in the building that they use is full they will not gather anything so if you fill up the chest in the hunting lodge he won't hunt.
Nice episode. Please continue with this journey. In my opinion is your playtrough a perfect means to get people interested in the game. Thank you for your excellent work
In my honest opinion you should get the AI townswoman to start farming so you'll be ready to get a second person to collect firewood to get a self-sustaining Village going
Barn is more important than sewing building, so yes, take it down. You can always rebuild it after you build the barn. Once you build the barn, you will be able to build 12 buildings in total, so it is worth it! You will notice that the guy you recruited as well as the gal have taken over the home you were "occupying" as your own. I mentioned in my previous comments that you are not assigned to that house, it belongs to your two workers. You also will not be able to recruit anyone else to come to your village until you build another house. As far as the wood shed and hunting cabin mechanics go and where you build them -- currently, it doesn't matter. However, it is in the build menu that the wood shed needs to be built in the forest. I am not sure when they will fix that bug that lets you build it wherever and still get materials from it. Just know that will be changing, so if you ever tear down the wood shed, I would rebuild it among trees and leave those trees around it alone.
Eric McLeod I just love watching his videos him and cho ohon and the rest from the stream the 7 days to die is awesome don’t know if your into old wrestlers but look up macho man randy savage GE sounds like him lol
hey @gameedged enjoying watching this series, just a tip to save you time, you can just harvest the animals without collecting the arrows or spears first, they will just be added to your inventory along with the meat and leather / fur.
Maybe the attraction needs to be higher to not get friend zoned? Only guessing, I'm learning about this game as I watch this series, lol. - Another thought, you may make more coin turning the meat to stew (is there no mushroom stew or similar? Surely they're cookable, I would think.), on that same thought, have you checked which cooked foods give you the best stats by chance? There's probably a few that are better at boosting your hunger and probably health. Wish they'd add something that boosts his dang stamina!! LOL. Like experience after so much work, as you've mentioned in a previous video, that would make sense and seems to be the mechanic for most things in this game already - would be really nice! Tyfs! Hope you're having a good week. Best of wishes to you and yours.
That's one of my biggest issues with many, many survival games; the iron tools just... break. I understand they need to keep the game balanced somehow but my mom's boyfriend has had his iron splitting ax for like, a couple decades. It's still sharp as heck, he still uses it every summer to split wood. Realistically, an iron tool isn't going to just shatter after you use it for a while. There should be some sort of repairing/sharpening mechanic, instead of this reliable tool shitting the bed.
Hello!! just recently subscribed to your channel. I'm really excited to see how much your village will grow. Please keep up the good work and goodluck with flirting. Btw, assigning your hired people with positions they are good at might produce good results of work more efficiently. Atleast I hope they do.
maybe you can change his job into a lumberjack, you can give him an axe and he will give you a log, stick and fire wood too or you can recruit another one. i love your vids
GE, to busy trying to flirt with the whole town they all went to bed before he could sell stuff. Ok, after reading that, um, didn't mean all together, they went to their own beds, this isn't that kind of game. lol
I am really enjoying this series. I can't wait to see more people in your village. Thank you for all the hard work you do, but dang dude...do you ever sleep? LOL ;)
He'd like the tree stumps in the middle of his village (the ones he's been punching to completely clear) to stay gone, but hopes the ones he's cut down in the woods regrow to full grown trees - good to know they will! (Makes sense that they would, glad the devs thought of that too.)
You can build the barn easy if you get the tool from the first village and harvest the fields its just outside the village theres a tutorial where to find it on youtube.
If you make a field or plow your courtyard but not sow it, would that keep the weeds and tree stumps away and flatten things all nice? Great play through, I’m enjoying it. 👍🏻
GE you should have feathers coming out of your ears with all the trees you chop down. Oh wait, you forget to check and pick them up. To busy flirting with all the ladies.
This is a pretty cool game GE, I have a game you might like called Frostpunk on steam, its indepth city building with a survival theme. Very pretty game.
GE as it currently stands spears are way better than the bow, the bow uses way to much stamina and the arrows break too easy and are costly to make more. Also you can harvest animals and you will get back any arrows and spears that are impaled in them.
Just a little tip, don’t marry any of the non-hireable villagers, especially Inga. They bug out after they have your kid. Only marry the random villagers that you can hire into your town. Please like this comment folks so he can see this and not have to restart like I did.

Did no one see the guy laying down and sliding down the street after he talked to the chicken lady at 16:25?!😂
Putting male and female villagers in the same house will give you babies.

@5:41 - Lore-uh-lie (the girls in my house had me watch Gilmore Girls.... er... I mean I know from the song by Styx :) ). Nice video - keep them coming!
🤣🤣🤣
Oh burn, GE talking about her being his future wife then he gets friend zoned.
GameEdged.. for more feathers, use your 'sight' to check the ground after you chop a tree down. There will be feathers on the ground from the tree :)
Just check once if you have assigned the dude a job for hunting. I'm having a feeling that he needs to be assigned the job in your village
Didn't assign him a job ,didn't leave him a knife to skin the animals with then ask him how's the job going 🤣🤣🤣
you uploaded this video right after I finished binge watching the rest of the series
16:26 , think that guy had a rough night? hahaha!! And 16:34 taking a dump in the bushes , lol this game cracks me up.
Pretty sure your hunter needs a weapon to hunt.... Love these vids
If that's the case how do you give him one?
@@tarrantwolf
Leave the weapon in the storage crate of the hunter lodge, maybe?
@@nozoto Yep, same for the woodcutter etc. Well thats what I've read anyway.
They're supposed to need weapons/tools, but that's been disabled for the moment
mine workers dont need wepon but hunting cabin needs to be close to prey, in wood
LOL I love the ad Lib comments. A sense of humour saves the day.
You have to assign the jobs. I think it's in management and they give you stats on what they are good at.
Trees regrow every 2 years. Will be handy with the lumber shed limit in the future for area. Also check out their skills before asking someone to join. They vary a fair bit skill wise
You get feathers and 1 or 2 meat from the bird trap. The option for salted meat is where the option for roasted meat is.
if you want to get rid of tree stumps or rocks (to clean up the aesthetic of your village) put a farm plot down over the stump/rock you want gone. the plot will delete said stump/rock and then just take your hammer in destroy mode and destroy the plot.

Hey game edge you need to put some spears and a skinning knife in the hunters chest for him to be able to work! Keep up with the videos love them!!
In my honest opinion you should get the AI townswoman to start farming so you'll be ready to get a second person to collect firewood to get a self-sustaining Village going
I have been hoeing the ground. It makes everything go away. Rocks, stumps and such.
Hi GE, little tip - you can crouch and sneak up real close for a head shot on the animals ...
Im surprised yet again! Upload is amazin! Keep it up. Loving it.
Should honestly double upload this game I’m really into it I wanna see what else the game has
He already posted 3 times in the last 24 hours tho lol
He has been double uploading
Please keep this series up,absolutely love it!

Ok you really must not sleep it’s 3:19 am in Chattanooga Tennessee where I am either you get up really early or your a vampire or a zombie lol
Oh he's definitely a zombie, that's why he plays so many zombie games.
Eric McLeod I just love watching his videos him and cho ohon and the rest from the stream the 7 days to die is awesome don’t know if your into old wrestlers but look up macho man randy savage GE sounds like him lol
@@aaronharr3295 lol he does a bit, if GE talked like he was straining in the bathroom he'd sound just like him.
Eric McLeod probably lol
Eric McLeod I’m just a night shift I’m not let out into the day lol but he still sounds like Mocho man randy savage
Feathers also drop around the base of a tree when you cut them down.
That they do ;) cheers
Be sure to check there skills when you assign them jobs
Their*
GE, to get more buildings, do the quests and raise your reputation
when cutting trees- cut it down with the iron axe and use a stone axe to cut to logs. takes the same amount of hits to log them for some reason
@30:00 The "slacker" has nothing to hunt with, except maybe for rocks. Read the building descriptions and job descriptions!

Awsome series, learnd so much about the game and now i finally got it and got of to a flying start =) keep it up man i lovet it !
Thanks, you rock
I love this game but only draw back is no zombie strippers for EG lol
You don't have to remove your spears before skinning an animal, the spears come off when you have skinned the animal... Saves a little time... :)
put a farmland over the tree stubs to get rid of them :)
then you can delete the farm land
only works like punching atm. They reload every time you restart the game right now.

If you look in the game coding the animals respawn every few minutes. You need the drying rack to preserve the meat.
Hey edge, if u build the barn it'll add 4 more building spaces :)
over hunting and crop rotation would be a cool game mechanic.
Let's just wait till the game works without any glitches and then we can think about that.
3:00 in the morning for me lol

Ok, after reading that, um, didn't mean all together, they went to their own beds, this isn't that kind of game. lol
Yeah, i put a bow, some arrows, and a knife in the box in the hunting shack and i get all the meats and leather.
easiest way to get rid of the the trees is place a field and then destroy it.
I am really enjoying this series. I can't wait to see more people in your village. Thank you for all the hard work you do, but dang dude...do you ever sleep? LOL ;)
There is a way to take away stumps if you plot a garden just around the stump it will take the stump away then you just delete the garden
@ItsStormHere I guess with one of the wooden hammers it's more like a wooden mallet you going to the option wheel well you have it in your hand
Hey game edge no worries about the tree stumps they regrow after two years
He wants the tree stumps to dissapear
He'd like the tree stumps in the middle of his village (the ones he's been punching to completely clear) to stay gone, but hopes the ones he's cut down in the woods regrow to full grown trees - good to know they will! (Makes sense that they would, glad the devs thought of that too.)
Before you tear down the sewing building you should see if that is where you need to make a quiver for you arrows.
u can only recruit the people around the campfires in every village... they change every year.. survival vision will show u their stats..
You should put ALL the food into the food storage
Keep up the good work!
great video as usual
You can build the barn easy if you get the tool from the first village and harvest the fields its just outside the village theres a tutorial where to find it on youtube.
Hey GE, that guy at 16:41 is not "Hovering" He is relieving himself when you ran up to him and decided to talk to him and forced him to move...
The villagers have different skills so you can place them in the best job
The bow, not so great, it uses up all your stamina on a draw and it has a bleed effect but the spear is better for early weapons.
Dude is minding his own business trying to drop a deuce and GE is like "What's up bro?".
U should put all food in food storage its decay slower there
Man your epic keep it up
Would be nice to be able to create paths from each house. thanks for the videos :)
A tip: Trees dont grow back, the saplings you get branches grow over time to be trees...
So my traps are all placed right outside my house, I have Bird, Rabbit and rat. They all catch stuff often so it appears location doesn't matter
Left ALT to see where the vendors are, who you can recruit, and when near recruits you can see their stats as to which jobs they are good at
10:30 almost spit my coffe out! hahaha
GE the hud will show you which villagers can be mood changed to join your village. The Human Icon, The rest are just NPCs that will not.
I was thinking, maybe you could place your garden to the left side of the bridge, just a thought
GE trying to encroach into public property.
love your video mate but I am worried for you if you get enough sleep or not.
Really enjoying this series
I would like to see more stranded deep
If you make a field or plow your courtyard but not sow it, would that keep the weeds and tree stumps away and flatten things all nice?
Great play through, I’m enjoying it. 👍🏻
It is pronounced Lore-lie like lore as in stories and lie as in lie down. Please like so lorelei can keep her name lol
If you place a building blueprint down over the stumps and then delete it, they should disappear for good............. worked on mine anyway lol
GE, i think Hunters need weapons in the hunting lodge chest so they could use them for hunting
Another question do your workers cut down trees or do they just do an animation without cutting down trees
From what I hear they do cut them down
Inthink you need a house for the men an the women. Great vid.
When you get geese and chickens maybe you will have arrows to sell and use! I can hardly wait for you to get animals!
Question how far can I place a resource shed from the characters houses and also the mine and wood sheds for collecting rocks and wood
Trees come back after 2 years
GE put a knife in the resource container for your hunter or they wont hunt
Fantastic.
Man I hope that they put this on console
GE you should have feathers coming out of your ears with all the trees you chop down. Oh wait, you forget to check and pick them up. To busy flirting with all the ladies.
Your workers need tools and also where you see your buildings push f for more information nd will tell you about workers to
May need to provide him with spears
is there anything that the work shop can do that the smithy can't? because then the work shop isn't needed
Lore - Rell - Lie = Lorelei
Taking notes, taking notes 😋
Beware dropping stuff out of storage or personal stuff, as it can disappear
Tested and left sticks out for almost a year in game and they are still there :)
Looks like it'll be pronounced: Laurel-Lie (or Lay?) Idk lol
Call her Kate!! 😂
It looks like he’s using the invisible out house
This is a pretty cool game GE, I have a game you might like called Frostpunk on steam, its indepth city building with a survival theme. Very pretty game.
Ah yes covered that on its release :) Thanks, you rock
Love this game
I think how you pronounce that name is lorlay lor rimeing with floor and lay being lay
GE as it currently stands spears are way better than the bow, the bow uses way to much stamina and the arrows break too easy and are costly to make more. Also you can harvest animals and you will get back any arrows and spears that are impaled in them.
I believe u need dem over 85 I think to move in with u
