There are only 3 states that don't allow any tint on the front side windows in any circumstances: NH, NJ, and VT. It's also illegal in MI, but they have a medical exemption that allows a 4" strip... I guess for the glare from the mirrors? As far as the windshield, there are 3 states that don't allow any tint: MN, NJ, and PA. Then there are 3 states that *do* allow the entire windshield to be tinted up to 30%: HI, ND, and OH. The remaining 44 states and DC allow tint from the top of the windshield to 4-6" or the AS1 line.

If the Volvo XC90 is V8 with a Six speed Automatic it is a keeper. The engine is made by Yamaha and the six speed is an Aisen (toyota) transmission, bullet proof drivetrain.
Re: Edge transmission. The Edge has a wet dual clutch transmission, same transmission as the Escape and Fusion. It's not the same as the dry dual clutch in the Fiesta, Focus, and Ecosport, which have a 100% failure rate... Soon, only the manual transmission versions will still be on the road. It's likely that many of the wet clutch transmissions will fail too, but maybe they last just a bit longer than the dry clutches.
Well said, sir. Dual-clutch transmissions were invented for high-speed gear changes in racing cars. They are inappropriate for hacking round town. If you have a CVT or a conventional (torque-converter) gearbox you can idle along up the lights, or up your drive way, at a few mph. No problem, no damage. In a dual clutch transmission if you do that then you're doing the same thing as driving a manual and slipping the clutch! Should be no surprise that DCTs are not quite as suitable for normal cars.
In Michigan, you can't have any of the front windows tinted. I have my side windows done in my current car and been left alone. In my experience, they don't really bother you about it unless they pull you over for something else like speeding. Even in that case, probably ten years ago, all I got was a verbal warning.
There is a weird medical exception in MI where they'll allow a 4" strip on the front windows... I think it's supposed to help block the glare from the review mirrors, but I can't be certain the reason why it exists 🤷
Tinted Windscreens are DANGEROUS! I bought a Car here in the Philippines and driving at night was DANGEROUS! I bought a new set of PHILLIPS H4 55/65W H4 Bulbs and changed them. Never made a difference! I owned that Car for 2 years when one day, I was wondering why each time a Car drove by when parked, I saw a rainbow shimmer around it. I looked close at the inside of the Screen and saw what I thought was a crack. I picked it with my nail and found it was a Tinted Film with a small scratch in it. THEN it dawned on me WHY the Headlights were utter crap at night! NEVER AGAIN! DANGEROUS!!
tinted windshields are illegal. thats a fact but what most people are trying to say is they wont get stopped. In CA, front windows legal limit is 70% or something really low and that is basically nothing in the summer both in heat and looks. all of my cars sit around 20% all windows except windshield which is nothing except ceramic (no color). Its just a matter of do you take the risk.

They bodywork cant be saved I think and having paintless dent removal done with all those dents would cost a fortune. When you fill the dents in you are also in for a repaint and 99% you wont get the quality of the factory paint job.

You're right an wrong about tinting the front window. Virginia like Oklahoma it is illegal to tint your front windshield. HOWEVER, VA. allows it if you produce a formal form completed by a doctor that provides proof that you've had skin cancer, particularly on your face. And I have had skin cancer. The DMV processes the form and puts a formal notification on the car registration that indicates that front tinting is permitted for this vehicle for this particular driver.
i know specifically in Connecticut where i used to live if you have a issue with epileptic seizures it is legal to tint your front windshield down to what i can recall 30% standard rear glass on most vehicles and you can put the rest including front door glass at 5% non reflective of course i'm unaware of other state regulations including where i live now because i don't suffer from seizures it was my closest friend but i,m sure there are many states that have similar rules to that, unless they have changed of course.

The remaining 44 states and DC allow tint from the top of the windshield to 4-6" or the AS1 line.
OK that’s good to know. I’m assuming you’re correct and you can have some level of tint but I’m assuming it Hass to be a very low percentage?
And the reason why is so other drivers & pedestrians can see each other… there is a lot of non verbal communication that goes on.
My grandfather has an ‘08 Nissan rogue and it has like 500k miles on it and drives very, very nicely
just finished watching the previous video, and right back to the next one haha
I have got a minor model of the Roque/X-trail in Europe called Qashqai .The same body form and the same interior as this .In my Qashqai there is a French Renault engine diesel 1.5 110 hp with a Turbo. The petrol engine is 1.2 turbo 130 Hp .
Nice I seen those all the time in South America
That particular Dillon's is in Wichita Kansas 🤠
That’s so interesting you use to like that car! MWM would love it! Love your honesty though! Keep it up randy !
DANGEROUS!!
That XC90 is fully loaded. Even has the Bowers and Wilkins system!
Vary awesome collection indeed. Keep up the great work.
Love your videos. I am from Tahlequah Oklahoma. I'm a little closer to monkey wrench Mike lol
The Avalon will clean up nice, Like you said. New Arm rest and new door Arm rest plus professional detail bam 💥 good to go!
I’m enjoying the mix of content 😅😅😅 I like that Rogue though
tinted windshields are illegal. thats a fact but what most people are trying to say is they wont get stopped. In CA, front windows legal limit is 70% or something really low and that is basically nothing in the summer both in heat and looks. all of my cars sit around 20% all windows except windshield which is nothing except ceramic (no color). Its just a matter of do you take the risk.
My 2015 Golf looks like the day it rolled off of the assembly line. Not sure how some of these cars that aren't even 10 years old look like they are 50 years old and have been around the world 20 times.
Pretty nice Volvo. My boss got one of these. I drove it and I loved it. Rock solid car. Just needs to fill the holes, a wheel and some cleaning. This is a bargain.
They bodywork cant be saved I think and having paintless dent removal done with all those dents would cost a fortune.
When you fill the dents in you are also in for a repaint and 99% you wont get the quality of the factory paint job.
@@alouisschafer7212 Fill and repaint. That was my suggestion. Of course you won't get the same factory paint job, but it will be good enough.
Platinum is Ford's top trim for trucks. Titanium is their top trim for crossovers and cars (except for Taurus, I believe).
I understand what you’re trying to do, but I like your choice of cars and content Randy.👍👍 But I did watch it because it’s you.✌️ But go with your gut my friend. I’ve been a subscriber for several years and I really like your videos. It’s YOUR channel and thank you for your hard work 💪👍
I will try to buy to buy the Rouge from you
I miss my Volvo V70 🥺
Not sure if anybody else commented this, but it looks like the Rogue came from Wichita Kansas, unless the previous owners were visiting there. Rogue's are basically soccer mom vehicles. Volvo's were bought out a while back by "Tata Motors" so they're not a true Swedish vehicle.
Not hard to say who drove that Avalon was always under the influence…
However you should buy it and flip it. I have a 2013 XLE Touring with 200K on it and it’s been the best car I’ve ever owned.
Hey Randy, it’s me again I just wanted to let you know that I watched this afternoon’s video on the carport walk around. It looks like it’s fixing to rain by you but I’m glad you got it done and over with for this afternoon. Can’t wait to see your one for tonight. If you’re having one come out tonight I’ll be looking for it later on tonight or early tomorrow morning. Have a good day buddy talk to you later. Tell Nick and Jessica I said hi.
*Car smells like WEED, with Cinnamon Toast Crunch in the glove box..*
Somebody was livin,' GOOD. 😅
The CVT is probably blown on that crappy rogue.
Happy to see you did the XC90 video. Sad to see it's a lemon. 😢
Yes, and sad to see his opinion on this one. However, we have to accept that everyone has different opinions.
You may live in a state that you can not tint the windshield but the darkness of the tint is what makes it ilegal in most states.😊
The edge with 110k check engine light is on pass. My mom had that happen around that mileage and there was coolant intrusion in cylinder 1.
The reason the Avalon owner emptied the cigars is to fill them with zaza
Hello drivers. Wishing all drivers good health and safe journeys
Nice content!
Sorry if you answered this question a thousand times, but I’m asking anyway. What is the brand and description of your jump pack? I asked a guy if he would give me a jump and he used one when he helped me. I was impressed with this jump box unfortunately, I forgot to ask him the info. on the model he used. Thank you in advance for your answer……..Great videos, love them!
lol the section with the Avalon was hilarious 😂 you knew what you were doin lol
I own a 2018 Nissan Rogue SL with 135k miles. It’s been a very good car so far. I’m wondering why that rogue has been sitting there for over a year with that low miles.
The Nissan Rogue is still not up for sale, but still at Copart.
The DMV processes the form and puts a formal notification on the car registration that indicates that front tinting is permitted for this vehicle for this particular driver.
rouge looks like my boys ..me i have a 2018 they are great drivers ..
my 2019 only has 30,000 miles my boys only has 40,000 on his 2019...
i know specifically in Connecticut where i used to live if you have a issue with epileptic seizures it is legal to tint your front windshield down to what i can recall 30% standard rear glass on most vehicles and you can put the rest including front door glass at 5% non reflective of course i'm unaware of other state regulations including where i live now because i don't suffer from seizures it was my closest friend but i,m sure there are many states that have similar rules to that, unless they have changed of course.
That button you keep talking about is Nissans “sonar” it’s just parking sensors!
'Titanium' has been use with UK fords for about 20 years. It was 'Ghia' before that for the top spec.
Assistance for opening and closing a door?
You're getting old Randy my boy... 😂😜
Nissan Rogue 2010-2023 1.8 engine is the worst engine ever and CVT Transmission , oil leaks , gaskets, engine cloaking, buyers remorse.
Hope that LTZ impala be in the next video!
I live in the UK the rogue is a qashqai over here as a commuter they are a really good drive
How can you not like the interior of the XC90. Are you crazy!
I agree. We have 2 Volvos. Very proud of them. Considering my Volvo may have just saved my life the day I was rear-ended at a dead-stop. I love Randy and his videos. Volvo just does so many things differently, many don't appreciate the "uniqueness" per say. I get it, Volvo does things way differently. Unfortunately, because Volvo does so many things differently, people get frustrated and dislike the entire vehicle. Volvo is a very reliable brand for the most part, (depending on the years). Many of the models like this XC90 has Toyota Aisin transmissions. A Volvo uses metal parts everywhere, where a BMW would have plastic. I love the man and his videos, I just gotta accept his opinion, and that it is different than mine.
@@expertgaming1002 We have two XC90’s. A 2012 and a 2022. My son drives the 2012 to school everyday and my wife drives the 2022. The 2012 has been extremely reliable. Hoping for the same with 2022.
@@jeffreylindley845 yes our 2017 T5 (the new turbo 4) which is still current is 2023, has been extremely reliable. More reliable than my 2008 S80 so far. However, the miles are low on that one. Time will tell.
18:34 some lean, I mean uhh purple tea 😂
Dillions is a Kroger grocery store in the Wichita, Kansas area….East Harry and Webb store…my stomping grounds.
Good video bud keep up the good work
Good afternoon Randy from @Auto Action Rebuild
The Nissan has a CVT!!!!!! I know how much you love those Mr Randy!
That rogue looked good
I have a 2018 Nissan Rogue with 83k. We bought it 4 years ago with 43k. They're not all that expensive to be honest..go for it Randy!
We paid 16,500 4 years ago!
It’s the Ford Fusion transmissions that are being recalled! Whatever transmission they put in thoseB
The only recall on the Fusion/Edge/Escape is with the gear shift because it could pop out of park. The Fiesta/Focus/Ecosport have the dry clutch transmission where all will fail.
The reason for the fan running on max even though you turned it down is because the temp was on low all Volvos does that my 1996 940 also do that if you put it one degree over low then you can choose the speed of the fan
If you into an accident and you have a tinted windshield and very dark tinted windows, and it happens at night, then your insurance will NOT pay.
Randy l am great bring contents and purchase of cars and trucks when l come to state l need to met you from trinidad
The cars come with tinted windows from the factory .Rear side windows are dark tinted but the The front side window are tinted but not with dark tint .
That Volvo is one of the best on safety
That Nissan rogue Dillons is from Wichita Kansas
the 19 rouge @4:08 my wife has one it just hit 72K miles but she has the AWD SV it has more opts then this one but its been good so far just did all fluids in it 50K then oil every 5K miles shouldn't have issue at all the con but this most cars now a days no trans dipstick but i was able to find a aftermarket one that came in handy when i changed the trans fluid
Love the mix of content
