One of the few professionals who has the right priorities these days -- it should be about trying to win vs all the other factors that most are concerned with. Barton has developed into a high level leader and winner -- not saying he's been that way his whole career, but he is now.
I believe that's true - he is a bit too passionate perhaps - and in new environments you may need to temper it a bit. I think when season is over, they'll be thrilled that he was on the team.
I would argue the mediocre part of that - not a glamorous style he plays, but vital -- and virtually every team he's played for he's left behind thousands of fans who admire his commitment and effort. And for the record, I despised this man for many years, but it's been a pleasure to watch him mature and improve on and off the field. I think this will be counted as a successful season for him at Rangers when it's all said and done.

Can't disagree with any of this - I do think at the end of the season he'll be a net positive for the side, though.
