Hi yea it did! My phone died and was unable to record the repair. It’s going to have a slight ticking due to it’s normal function, but it was noticeably quieter.
@That-mf-chris Yes due to the nature of the purge solenoid there will always be a ticking noise, but it should never be as loud as this one was. Someone actually commented that there was a recall for the excess ticking. I'm not a Chevy Tech so I'm not 100% sure on why this happens. Just glad to know that there was a legitimate concern for it.
@@AaronBurgan Of course thank you for making the video! My girlfriend just bought one today and I was not able to be with her when buying it so I wasn’t able to look the car over (she did have someone look at the car that has experience but always gotta double check).
I hear a value knock or one bad fuel injector. Its a constant thud knock.. check your spark plugs too.

It is the Evap Canister Purge Solenoid.
There is actually a recall for that part. And an extended warranty
