I had the same issue on my 1.4, you can actually cut that rubber hose off and get a 5/16 coolant hose (I believe that's the size) and a few hose clamps and just replace that rubber part of the hose. Took me 20 minutes. I did not have to remove the turbo.
@@viehweger he is referring to the one at the start that was leaking. It is a rubber hose that connects to the metal line and that connection deteriorates and leaks. Instead of removing the turbo to get to the line connection (behind the turbo) you cut the metal part of the hose (refer to video where he shows the leak point) and rip off the rubber hose and reconnect the new hose with clamps
Alejandro, Glad to hear it! Best of luck and just keep learning everyday! It’s a process but totally worth it. It’s a life long journey, we still learn something new everyday. Ryan
The turbo on my Cruze had exact same crack. Slapped some jb weld on that witch and poof no more code. Been driving it about 80 miles a day for about a year now. Code hasn’t came back. For those diy people I suggest replacing the gaskets on the oil filter housing / oil cooler. Removing oil from the cooling system is not fun, ask me how I know 🤦🏻😂😂 these cars are known for those gaskets to fail. Causing real bad oil leaks. Great video by the way.
Hello Ryan, A really, really well done tutorial! You’re a TV natural! Hey, that’s a great idea for a television show…..”Mechanic Bachelor”! Nah, I hate those shows (no real man would watch them). Cheers, brother!
Just my opinion, but if you are ripping out the turbo, I would always replace the oil cooler gaskets as well. These cars will generally last a long time with minimal issues AFTER replacing the thermostat housing and water outlet (replace with aluminum) and do the PVC fix kit. if the older model, replace the turbo feed line and return line (get the upgraded aluminum one and the newer double gasket seals) and you should be good to go.
@@GoTechTraining Yep, should have just enough miles left in it now after the repairs, to make it to the junkyard under it's own power, and it should roll in just in time for something else to break...perfect🤭😁🤣

Genuine GM JUNK! You can tell it is junk by all the extra parts you need to remove and replace for a hose job. The job will be easier because installation is all new parts. Good job fellas.
Hey Frank, I 'am surprised GM stuck with this design for so long and didn't go back to the drawing board. Thanks for reaching out and checking out the video! ~Ryan
Since you're already there, replace the valve cover start with the chirping noise😜😜😜 if you're familiar with the cruze's you know what I'm talking about😁😁😁
Right!!! The infamous valve cover leak and missing bypass valve in the intake. All the common issues with this car could have been fixed with two better designed pieces of rubber and a more robust wastegate 😂 ~Ryan
Hey Jim, Yeah you are correct, I don’t know why I call them inward torx. I think my old tool guy used to call them that , just kinda stuck with me. Thanks for checking out the video! ~Ryan
The engine do seem to have there issues, but I'm glad they are usually very repairable and I haven't seen too many catastrophic engine issues. Thanks for watching! ~Ryan
I have the same coolant line problem with mine I'm around 77,000 mines a 2015 cruze 1.4 turbo and I don't have the time nor money to replace the turbo but I need to find a dyi to easily replace the coolant line without taking off the turbo
It's beyond asinine how hard car makers are working to make their vehicles impossible to repair by the average Joe, forcing people to pay the super inflated repair shop costs.

pro-tip: 8 point sockets work great for removing these E-Torx fasteners also. E12 = 10mm socket. E10 = 8mm Socket.

If I may ask, which hose are you referring to. There are quite a few of them discussed here. lol

I’ve found it’s a good idea to label ziplock bags in order to organize the hardware coming off.
I'm a little surprised there aren't more turbo swap videos here on the 'net. It sounds like an annoying job most of the time.
A lot of little things, mixed with exhaust work! They can be quite a job on some vehicles!

If u remove turbo permanent is the car continously running
