As a Marine who left active duty in 1994 after coming home from Somalia and then watched this movie a year later.... I felt the line "Its civilian life, sir, I had a minor setback". 😆. I had a few issues in my first few civilian jobs because I had no filter but all is good now. I went to high school with one of the main kids from this movie. Peyton Chessenfohl. He had no real speaking lines of his own yet walked around like he was a movie star. Lol. My son and I actually watched this just the other day.
I remember the first time I watched this movie was on my 21st birthday. This movie had just come out on video. I never had even heard anything about it. We were having a birthday party at my place and one of my friends had brought the movie over just to kind have on in the background. No one was really sitting down to get into a movie. Now we were all pretty drunk, and we had been smoking the wacky tobaccy. And it was about maybe half way thru the movie that we started noticing some scenes that were really funny. When it ended, we literally started it again to see what we missed, and watched the whole thing again. I know its a pretty corny kids movie. But Damon Wayons is just so damn good at playing that part. Its hilarious.
