It's something interesting i just found out. First Incredibles movie starts with a car chase while the second Incredibles movie ends with a car chase.. a small easter egg i suppose
Looked through to confirm you weren't answered yet, the reason superheroes were made illegal started when Mr. Incredible stopped the jumper in the prologue of the first movie when Buddy and Bombvoyage showed up superheroes started being held responsible for property damage and injuries to civilians. Buddy (the ginger) later became Syndrome using technology instead of natural powers to kidnap/hire superheroes and kill them improving his tech with the goal to kill Mr. Incredible then unleash it on the public to market his technology so that anyone can be a hero.
The ship was using a rare (and very expensive technology) called Hydrofoils, which lifts the boat out of the water to allow for higher speeds and faster turns. It isn't seen often nowadays because it's very expensive to maintain.
As someone who liked Maths as a kid people always seem to have this reaction to Algebra. At first he said it's too complicated but when he was looking at the book everything he said was right and he understood it 🤣
Maybe it's just me, but I feel the villain's motivations in this movie are backwards. Her father was killed by 2 robbers because he was relying on superheroes to come save him after they had to go into hiding. So, her plan is to get mind controlled superheroes to stage a terrorist attack to keep them in hiding. But at the same time, by doing this she will prevent those heroes from saving the day & more innocent people will get hurt. Plus, if she can mind control people, why not find a way to use her technology to stop criminals & make a profit in city defense programs instead?
Yeah I agree, the sequel fell short of making that story that hits hard like the first one. I agree with the idea that syndrome should have been the villain of this movie, with heavy foreshadowing and his back story still being in the first movie.
She felt that because of the reliance her dad had on the supers, that's what got him killed. Partly also because the supers were useless in her mind and didn't come to save the day. So therefore, she wants to rid every reliance on supers and cut their ties with the normal human world. I guess that's just what I got from it
Y'all ever heard the tiktok sound "If you ever see me fighting in the forest a grizzly bear HELP THE BEAR"? Because that is 100% about Jack-Jack and that raccoon!
56:36 Fun fact: if you listen accurately the shooting noise of the emergency rocket pistol is the same sound of DC-17 blasters from Clone Wars final season and the Bad Batch
I haven't watched this in a few years, but I still enjoy it all the same. This is movie brought me a lot of joy when i first watched, and i was a real fan of super heroes in that time, so I'm glad you're watching this!
During the diner scene there was a Dash moment that sadly gets cut. I recommend reacring to Dash's deleted scene because it gives him a solo moment while also giving Bob a silly thing of taking Jack jack to the bathroom to change him.
46:35 the guy that owns Mr Incredibles car and is hiding behind the woman is literally Bob/Mr. Incredibles old boss, Gilbert Huph, from Insuricare (insurance company he works for in the first movie before getting fired) which I always just thought to be kinda ironic and funny.
44:49 both of them were likely dead by that point. We know for a fact Gaserbeam was cause Bob read that he was missing in the paper, and he was the skeleton that Bob found in the caves. Fyronic might have been one of the heroes marked "TERMINATED" on the computer, but I don't remember if he was
On the math you were correct. All x and y do is to hide the correct number from the calculation so you'll have to figure it out. It's giveing you new kind of problems and it's really usefull for your inteligens. I think todayes math is hard, but it's the way it should be. The kid should develop their brains as much as possible and this new math is just benefissial with no bad sides. Well some take a longer time to learn it, but that's for practice and that's all good.

Use of power is the reserve of the state... The idea being that the state is the singular actor that can act in the best interest of as many people as possible, and that they are bound (have vowed) to do so (just ignore the reality). Therefore, whether people can/will use power for good or not is not relevant, cos there's no control or management over it, and thus is subject to abuse, misuse, corruption... Etc. Calls the question in whose interests are you acting? " Govt sees all and knows all, and has the structure to serve all ... We are in better position to determine whats in the best interest for all".
I love 80% of what this movie does but the other 20% is Tyler's mind wiping and Evelynn's motives. If Tyler and Violet were gonna be a serious thing then her secret identity would have had to been revealed anyways so why not build of that hero-normie relationship?! Eve wants the regular folk to not be super dependent on supers which was what lead to her father's death. I completely agree with her viewpoint but she then tries to frame supers to keep them hiding which doesn't help against the super villain problem because regular folk can't fight them. Why not let her complete Syndrome's original goal and make weapons and tech that make normal people super and supers obsolete?
