twojastara sradogara You run both obviously. Tracking won't give you bad options, can hit minions like Antonidas, and thins your deck. The only part about glyph that is better is the cost reduction.
Maybe it was mistake to think it would still have Stealth after it dealt damage but picking the 4/2 instead of the 4/1 made it so it wasn't guaranteed dead from Dragon Fire Potion. If that was the scenario, the opponent would then have to use their hero power into the potion, thus wasting more mana/resources to kill said beast.
I love watching kibbler climb with these off meta decks. If it weren't for all the nasty druid decks running around I think KotFT would easily be my favorite expac so far.
KiaraVanwood yeah but he didn't say "the only things you can play" he said "the meta" and as far as I know playing something for fun is almost never considered meta, when you phrase it that was it sounds almost like it's off-meta
honestly the decks I play tracking in I only really care about 1-3 cards at most in the long term. Things like Deathstalker rexxar who has the build a beast which could easily make up for any savannah highmanes I may discard.
I mean, if you played MTG with a card called Ponder - you know how good it is. Tracking is worse, but for HS it's still pretty good. I'd love to have that card in classes with some combo potential or singleton decks.
It's way better than ponder, three cards in HS is worth like 7 cards in MTG (Because you don't get useless lands and your deck is way smaller, so you're more likely to find whatever you're looking for)
Look at the top three cards of your library, then put them back in any order. You may shuffle your library. Draw a card. Ponder is better since you can keep those top 3, or if there's no good ones you can shuffle, but card selection is very helpful, especially in HS over MtG.
I was the one who asked you if tracking was so good why did you mulligan it, shortly after subscribing to you! Really glad to see you actually made this video!
THANK YOU Kibler, finally some recognition for tracking - I have such a high opinion of this card that I run it in even my most aggressive Hunter lists. :3
Night On Bald Mountain starts playing and I know it's going to be an epic Hunter beatdown. Glad to see the class having a little bit of love shown to it.
I would like Hunter to get a tool-box theme. Could finally enable control-Hunter and would also fit the class. Hunter searching for the right cards makes a lot of sense....
Did you forget the discard the other two part? Imagine getting two highmane and one deadly shot on a tracking, sure it will help you out for this turn but it also basically lost you the game afterwards.
For those that are still confused by Tracking's usefulness, notice he didn't keep it in his opening hand. Unless you're just trying to draw your deck as fast as possible and draw your combo, cards like Tracking or even arcane intellect are better late game than early. In the case of Tracking, it can serve as a 3rd or 4th copy of any other card from your deck. So late game, Tracking is NEVER a dead card, can draw you exactly what you need, and throw away two cards you DON'T need. Like Kibler said, if it was in any other class it would be absolutely bonkers.
Same as yugioh's Pot of Desires (banish 10 cards from deck then draw 2 cards from your deck). Although prob not the MTG example you're thinking off, it still follows the logic: it doesn't matter that you burn if it makes you find the answer to winning the game.
ItsATrap yeah sure the card selection is like tracking but the point is discarding cards from your deck is barely even a drawback. One of the main reasons people call tracking bad is because of the fact you discard 2 cards from your deck, when in reality, that's functionally no different from them being in your deck unless you go to fatigue.
Its a good card but there are better like the mage discover spell and the priest tutor that limits your options to spells. The problem with tracking is that hunter has no other good card draw and playing 2 trackings will never allow hunter to have a combo deck because 2 trackings are nothing. The biggest problem with tracking is that disgarding in hearthstone is different from MTG because mtg when cards are discarded they go to the graveyard while in hearthstone they are "exiled". MTG card draw with discard effects is so good because of decks like Griselbrand reanimator , gifts and dredge. If for example i played the new hunter deathrattle deck and my discarded minions would go to the graveyard then tracking would be good to fill your graveyard with minions and loo for your Nzoth or Rexxar.
Tracking really has some great versatility for fishing out cards from your deck that you want, it's just Hunter right now. A few more Control tools and they'll be back in power.
One of the reasons people misunderstand Tracking is because they think it's a one-drop. It's not. Even in the glory days of 8-mana Call of the Wild Midrange Hunter, where Tracking was commonly played, the correct play is to throw Tracking back in the mulligan phase. It's a tool to search for plays later in the game, not to be played on turn 1.
It kinda got glazed over since he won immediately after, but you should not prioritize stealth on a kodo or similar card. Stealth is removed as soon as the minion deals damage, and kodo's battlecry counts. It's kinda like poison: anywhere poisonous procs, you would also lose stealth.
I feel like Magic players evaluate Tracking much more highly than players who don't also play Magic/have roots in Magic. Tracking would be pretty nuts in Magic, but that's also because there's graveyard recursion in that game. Tracking is still an insane card in Hearthstone, it's just in a class that can't take advantage of it's full potential which prevents it from being busted. Sure it can feel bad to pitch two good cards but you have to live with that. It doesn't make the card bad just because sometimes you get screwed by it.
tracking is like shadow visions, it's not a good play on curve but it's a super powerful effect when you need it. and it's even better because unlike shadow visions it can draw minions. when you need a really powerful reactive play like dragonfire potion or sw death, then shadow visions is a really good card to have. but when you need some serious gas in the late game and can't use all your mana otherwise, tracking is really good.
Kibbler, any chance you can start linking your deck list for each video in the description? :) Love the videos, I wish I my card call outs were as on point as yours haha
People who say tracking is bad are new to the game and don't fully understand how card games work. It is so obviously a really good card I don't even think it is worth discussing.
Good games, but yet again the issue with never uploading losses is that I was really invested in the struggle of the first game... then realized this was a Kibler video and that everything was miraculously going to turn out just fine in the end. Suddenly all the tension just vanished. It sure looked like he was losing, yet I knew that was somehow never an option. It's just not as compelling, y'know?
wow... I realy like to play some sort of midrange / controll hunter but never considered Tracking because I don't like to discard anything. And Dispatchkodo without handbuffs doesn't suck at all. Kibler is genius
6:25 With 6 mana leftover after thoughtsteal, what 2 card combination could the priest have possibly have drawn that was worse than simply using obliterate? Any minion from Kibler's deck that is played would have attacked into King Dread. Thus, the priest wouldn't have had to play into god draw double kill command.
hunter DK is my favorite death knight by far, so im glad to see a video of it! I just wish hunter was better so there was more gameplay of hunter. Thanks for the upload kibler :)
Cards like Tracking have been powerful in other games. Graceful Charity from Yugioh has the exact same effect and it is completely banned in competitive play. Tracking is insane to pick up exactly what you need later in the game.
Yeah but the way the games are structured just makes it so that the discarding from your entire hand is the relevant difference, even if GC was basically only banned do to the ridiculous synergies in Yugioh.
When I first played Hearthstone and checked out the Hunter class for the first time, I saw Tracking and immediately thought "that card is absolutely busted" Then I found out that Hunter's only viable archetype is SMOrc
Would love to have seen his opponents hand game 1. Cant believe there wasnt a better play at some point. Visions for pain seemed suboptimal, but don't know what the other options were.
Tracking is a great card for sure. I love it because how you see someone use it will tell you a lot about their skill level. Every time I play against a Hunter player who KEEPS tracking in their opening hand & plays it on turn one, I laugh my ass of as I prepare for another easy win.
i was watching a hearthstone player trying to defeat the lich king with hunter. he had alleycats and scavenging hyenas in the deck, along with more beasts and spells including 1 quickshot. he was trying for like 1 hour, than i wrote him to change the quick shot to penguin because penguin is an OP card. he changed it and won the game. XD
All face hunter decks right now are running tracking. Currently the most common trend is to run a lot of situational cards, early game and reach. Tracking allows you to get the situational cards and reach while removing your useless early game minions in the midgame. Anyhow, I don't think Ik anyone who thinks tracking is a bad card.
Tracking is amazing! The problem is that Hearthstone decks are so small...Which makes Tutoprcards infenitely less important. NExt to that are we at a powerlevel were most decks barely have cards they want to miss.

I went from rank 11 all the way to rank 6 with hunter 0 losses. I was on the last game before ranks 5 and lost to big priest high rolls and not playing around shadoword horror feelsbad man. I was amazed though, I went some thing like 11-1
youre a real good player kibler. i hope we get matched up sometime. it'd be great to see where i stand and to learn from you in game. thanks for the videos!
Tracking is basically "discover 3 cards from your deck, add one to your hand" and in the case of Hunter, you will never go to late game so who cares about milling a few cards.
if a warlock is playing quest (no idea why but just a question) and they some how steal a tracking from the opponent, does the 2 discard count towards quest?
Kibler just casually predicting animal companion twice
It's not that unlikely, to be fair. You have a 1/9 chance of guessing correctly twice in a row.
Kosyo Chashev Predicted? No my friend, Kibler ask and Hearthstone do.
Kosyo Chashev less of a prediction and more of getting good rng on what he wanted
Kibler believes in the hearts of the cards and the cards believe in him.
I was like:He will get huffer and leokk for the +1 dmg to kill the taunt and i got it as well
He protecc
He attacc
But most important
He tracc
Zenyatta i
stfu the meme is dead and shit
And he interacc
his traccuracy is just too high
Zenyatta I
Imagine tracking in Mage, that'd be absolutely disgusting.
ErraticMagics primodial glyph still better
ErraticMagics Ikr... Tracking into meteor. Rip.
twojastara sradogara You run both obviously. Tracking won't give you bad options, can hit minions like Antonidas, and thins your deck. The only part about glyph that is better is the cost reduction.
But you discard other cards
twojastara sradogara am I right by assuming that you've never played MTG before?
Should've chosen Dusk Boar over Jungle Panther for the zombeast. If you noticed when Kodo does damage from the battlecry it loses stealth anyway.
Charlotte Butcher Icame here to point this out aswell. The zombeast he choose cost one more mana for absolutely nothing. Still won though.
Perger Mátyás not absolutely nothing, 6 health survives dragonfire
LUL... true. I guess these are the things that stopped me from getting above rank 4 :D
He's going against a priest he's avoiding dragonfire
Maybe it was mistake to think it would still have Stealth after it dealt damage but picking the 4/2 instead of the 4/1 made it so it wasn't guaranteed dead from Dragon Fire Potion.
If that was the scenario, the opponent would then have to use their hero power into the potion, thus wasting more mana/resources to kill said beast.
My name is BM Kibler. You killed my cute cat. Prepare to die.
nice
I believe his name his Brian "Don't call me Brian 'the Brian Kibler' Kibler" Kibler of Brian Kibler Gaming
It's just like Kel'Thuzad...
NANI?!
10:00 Silenced grandma has a different deathrattle quote lol.
"EGHHUGHHK".
..."Grandma?"
I love watching kibbler climb with these off meta decks. If it weren't for all the nasty druid decks running around I think KotFT would easily be my favorite expac so far.
Skele-bro Silthous mines would be TGT and LoE
Were you a control player? I fondly remember golden monkey and "Welcome to the grand... ResidentSleeper."
I loved the Golden Monkey and Warrior meta. Then again, I love control decks.
I thought it was a lot of fun to. Nothing like turning all your worthless leftover draw effects into legendaries!
Skele-bro Silthous The games were a little long for me, when both players have more health than the Lich King the games are decided by fatigue a lot
drink a shot everytime Brian says "OK we're dead " I consider my self an alcoholic after 13min and 16 sec
I love the meta of: Play Druid or play something that counters druid; or you're fucked.
everyone knows that benedictus priest is the deck to play if you like to have fun
Or play stuff that counters the stuff that counters druid
Richard wang or the decks that counter the counter decks of the decks that counter druid
KiaraVanwood I play control plad (with hero card),control rouge and kazakus warlock on wild.
KiaraVanwood yeah but he didn't say "the only things you can play" he said "the meta" and as far as I know playing something for fun is almost never considered meta, when you phrase it that was it sounds almost like it's off-meta
Or like me, you use tracking and get 3 cards you need later but don't need right now and end up having to discard 2 of them.
CyberlekVox you have to wait to use tracking until you need it
you must have to wait for the right time to use tracking it's maybe ruined your hand or deck must use it wisely
CyberlekVox Yea and without Tracking your next 3 draws would have been cards you need later but not when you draw them so it sucks even more
CyberlekVox yeah, kibler just got lucky.
honestly the decks I play tracking in I only really care about 1-3 cards at most in the long term.
Kostiantyn Rokytskyi Never played MTG. What's Ponder?
It's way better than ponder, three cards in HS is worth like 7 cards in MTG (Because you don't get useless lands and your deck is way smaller, so you're more likely to find whatever you're looking for)

Hey, nice profile pic.
Sort top 3 cards of your deck into any order, then draw a card.
I was the one who asked you if tracking was so good why did you mulligan it, shortly after subscribing to you! Really glad to see you actually made this video!
WOW! That first game! Best game yet in my opinion Kibler. Amazing!
THANK YOU Kibler, finally some recognition for tracking - I have such a high opinion of this card that I run it in even my most aggressive Hunter lists. :3
Whoever always edits classical pieces into your videos--they are great! It's refreshing compared to all the other pop music that is used in videos.
Night On Bald Mountain starts playing and I know it's going to be an epic Hunter beatdown. Glad to see the class having a little bit of love shown to it.
One of my favorite orchestral pieces of music.
Was great to share in that victory!
I would like Hunter to get a tool-box theme. Could finally enable control-Hunter and would also fit the class. Hunter searching for the right cards makes a lot of sense....
I love the background music. Night on bald mountain. My school band played it last year. It's so fun
How good is tracking? Turns out its preeeeetty goooooood...
No, it sucks ass.
xBox360BENUTZER its actually an insanely good card
The only reason it is playable is because hunter is fucked and got no viable card draw
1 mana: Discover a card from your deck.
SeemsGood
Did you forget the discard the other two part?
Imagine getting two highmane and one deadly shot on a tracking, sure it will help you out for this turn but it also basically lost you the game afterwards.
Kibler getting into that Halloween mood.
Genuinely shouted "No!" when Kibler yelled that cute cat was kill.
More hunter videos please, this was a very enjoyable video!

DarthMorhan Tracking functionally is a lot closer to a pot of duality than desires.

Kibler's laugh cures depression :D most chill and entertaining streamer.
"He killed cute cat!" Brain sounded like he wanted to fight hah
When Kibler says "Swamp King Dread", "Dread" is a noun and "Swamp King" is an adjective.
That burst on the last round was insane.
Kibler you have insane prophetic senses.
Tracking really has some great versatility for fishing out cards from your deck that you want, it's just Hunter right now. A few more Control tools and they'll be back in power.

Holy shit, whats this? Kibler making a video about my favorite card? It can't be! It's too good to be true!

Kibbler, any chance you can start linking your deck list for each video in the description? :) Love the videos, I wish I my card call outs were as on point as yours haha
I cant get past the theme of Chernabog playing. That was the embodiment of fear and evil as a child
Night on bald mountain felt so appropriate
People who say tracking is bad are new to the game and don't fully understand how card games work. It is so obviously a really good card I don't even think it is worth discussing.

Masterful
Kibler: Hunter's Chernabog
wow... I realy like to play some sort of midrange / controll hunter but never considered Tracking because I don't like to discard anything. And Dispatchkodo without handbuffs doesn't suck at all. Kibler is genius
Heard the music immediately scared. Chernabog doesn't need to show up in my head.
Tracking is the OG "discover" effect.

Oh my,i remember this background song used in Earthworm Jimmy game
Cards like Tracking have been powerful in other games. Graceful Charity from Yugioh has the exact same effect and it is completely banned in competitive play. Tracking is insane to pick up exactly what you need later in the game.
Strongside doesnt graceful charity discard from your whole hand though? Way more broken.
Also it costs 0
Yeah but the way the games are structured just makes it so that the discarding from your entire hand is the relevant difference, even if GC was basically only banned do to the ridiculous synergies in Yugioh.
When I first played Hearthstone and checked out the Hunter class for the first time, I saw Tracking and immediately thought "that card is absolutely busted"

I've always used tracking but only on decks where I'm very reliant on getting cards at the right time.
god do I love Night on Bald Mountain. nat always pick fantastic classical for these vids
i was watching a hearthstone player trying to defeat the lich king with hunter. he had alleycats and scavenging hyenas in the deck, along with more beasts and spells including 1 quickshot. he was trying for like 1 hour, than i wrote him to change the quick shot to penguin because penguin is an OP card. he changed it and won the game.
The big Kodo at the end wouldn't actually have had stealth, because it did damage with its battlecry! :)
Tracking is amazing! The problem is that Hearthstone decks are so small...Which makes Tutoprcards infenitely less important. NExt to that are we at a powerlevel were most decks barely have cards they want to miss.
Ahh Night on Bald Mountain brings back fond memories of Fantasia
Why play tracking? Because if that was a card in MTG it'd be an auto-include in literally every blue deck in every format it's legal in.
And as seen by Ponder and Preordain, BOTH banned in Modern MTG.
Ahh yes, tracking, the OG discover mechanic.
I main Hunter since the beggining of the game and indeed it is a very powerfull card. I love it. Kudos Kibler.
I just now realized brian laughs like a dolphin
if i would hear my enemy laughing like this after a win, i swear i find his house and punch him in the face xD
The music is giving me Earthworm Jim flashbacks...
I love how cocky Kibler is in this one.
"Man, Dispatch Kodo SUCKS without handbuffs!"
*Gets lethal through Tracking* "Tracking SUCKS!"
Amazing !!!
Those were some nice predictions.
and kodo is not stealth .........
Panther is. Zombeast takes every aspect from both.
But it does damage, so it loses stealth right away.
It will lose stealth as soon as the Bcry triggers, so essentially, it has no stealth.
8:04 top ten anime betrayals
dat music intro golike :D
4:04 Kibler with the Fidget Spinner
The biggest problem I've noticed with Hunters is that you lose steam extreeemely quickly.
The lack of draw is the Hunter's greatest weakness, one solved by tracking. Still, it discards the other cards and make Hunters shortlived, so I tend to have Jeeves in my deck.
Alex Ho and makes... Hunters short-lived?
Freddie Simmons basically they wont last long on the field like Priest or Druid.
Not saying hunters are bad, just that they kinda need things to keep the steam going for their combos.
i watch your videos to see what music you put on them.
very good one today
replacement for X1 Golakka Crawler and X2 Hungry Crab ?
4:06
Further proof Brian is the dad of hearthstone. Killed me.
When i started playing hearthstone, i used to say tracking is the worst card: it draws me 1 card and discard 2 cards which leave me to fast fatigue. But i was so wrong
"Hungry crab isnt cutting it" Blasphemy!!
i think this is the first time i've agreed with kibler on something. tracking is one of the best cards in the game easily imo.
Okay now I understand how to use Tracking.
I went from rank 11 all the way to rank 6 with hunter 0 losses. I was on the last game before ranks 5 and lost to big priest high rolls and not playing around shadoword horror feelsbad man.
I was amazed though, I went some thing like 11-1
Night on Bald Mountain!
Umm that zombeast you made game 2, was frigging deadly dude! Like holy shit, whats going on?
Ok, time to put tracking into the deck!
this deck is amazing, I swapped Dread out for an Abominable Bowman works nicely
Brian : "Tracking is probably the best card in hearthstone"
*gets tracking first turn*
*discards it*
XDDDDDDDDDDD i Love you kibler!!!!!!
Ryuu it's better in the midgame and lategame
Remember when Kibler played skill decks?
Pepperidge Farm remembers.
"Dispatch Kodo sucks without buffs"
>Plays Kodo in his deck with no handbuffs.
youre a real good player kibler. i hope we get matched up sometime. it'd be great to see where i stand and to learn from you in game. thanks for the videos!
First Hunter deck im really thinking to make
Tracking is basically "discover 3 cards from your deck, add one to your hand" and in the case of Hunter, you will never go to late game so who cares about milling a few cards.
if the zombeast is bittertide + the lifesteel worm = does it lifesteal with bittertide's effect?
any replacement for Swamp King Dred ?
if a warlock is playing quest (no idea why but just a question) and they some how steal a tracking from the opponent, does the 2 discard count towards quest?
Kibler has the best music always
