I love when people give an honest shot at youtube. The first video is never paticularly great, but you can improve if you're perfect, and improving is the fun bit. Keep at it! 😁😁😁
This is somewhat complicated, but what I really like about it is that a) you’re customizing the tabard to a specific mini AND b) it’s not stuck to the model immediately so if you don’t like it you can try again! That’s brilliant.
I didn't hear ANYTHING of what you said but how you make it its pretty clever. I'm really excited to continue seeing more of your videos and maybe hearing your voice one day
I had the idea for this sort of method but never got a chance to test it out. I was going to use plastic wrap instead of a glove but your way is much more refined and manageable
it looks on the surface a lil complicated but the results speak for themselves, will use this on a few marines to get that natural creasing instead of the messy sculpted attempts I've done
The sound is a bit problematic, even with headphones I had to increase to max volume to hear what you said, but it was well worth it! This is an amazing idea!!!
With the recent Horus heresy release this could actually be quite useful. in lots of picture pre-heresy Thousand Sons troops more or less all had a tabard on them.
Going to have a crack at this large scale. The spirit of Nagash needs a cloak these days to hangout with his Nighthaunt buddies. Let me know if you have any tips for trying this with bigger cloaks @gock0w976 👍👻
Far out that's a really cool idea, nice! Got a bit of production feedback for you, the audio is suuuuper quiet! Couldn't hear it at all on my phone with volume maxed out, and on my desktop I've had to crank thinks right up. Best to compare to some known-good audio levels before uploading :)
now this is a top tier trick! Subbed. I will definitely be trying this :D Not that anyone will care, but technically thats not a tabard, a tabard is pretty specific - its like the thing the three musketeers wore. This is more like an apron or smock. if it went all the way up and over the back, thats more like a monastic scapular.
Awesome work. Fantastically simple. Only problem is if you want the tabard to go above the belt like they do for the Black Templar Crusader Primaris Marines. Any ideas for that?
Thank you! I've tried a couple of experiments with that, and for the moment I tend to just sculpt the upper half with traditional methods. If I figure out a way to do it with the latex glove I'll be sure to make a video
Not sure I'm afraid, I could only encourage you to experiment with any latex-free materials you know of that seem to have similar properties. The main things are that they are the righ form factor, can stretch, and are strong enough not to break while you're stretching and fastening. Good luck!
Hi all, apologies for the low audio volume! Please turn on subtitles or use headphones. And thanks for watching :)
I had the volume up to hear, a Pizza Hut ad suddenly came on and my heart is still thumping 😅
It’s actually better than some pro UA-camrs. Nice job!
The method looked convoluted at first but I can’t argue with that result. Very impressive, very clever idea.
What an unusual, original and brilliant idea. That looks so good and is really ingenious.
C'est la première fois que je vois cette méthode, bravo c'est une excellente idée d'avoir pensé à utiliser les propriétés du gant !
Incredible! Would love to see a video of how you do capes with this method. Ingenious idea
Thank you! I'm just trying to make the cape method a little more refined then I'll definitely be making that vid.
Very clever method, it's brilliant!
Excellent results dude

I realize now that was meant to say "can't improve if you're perfect" my bad😁
This is so much easier. Thank you for the ingenuity!
You're welcome :) I'm glad you like it!

Super useful technique, thank you for sharing!
Very clever! I would never have thought of that!
This is really ingenious. Well done mate!
This makes me feel like I could pull it off. Gonna try it on some spare models before I try Templar Brethren for my Heresy era Imperial Fists.
This is a really unique idea thats awesome.
Definitely interest in seeing the upcoming cloak tutorial tho!
This has so much involved that i decided to jsut sculpt 😂
But you did an amazing job kudos
I didn't hear ANYTHING of what you said but how you make it its pretty clever. I'm really excited to continue seeing more of your videos and maybe hearing your voice one day
I was hoping some witchcraft like this existed in the world! Thanks for making this great tutorial. I'm going to try it on a cape
This definitely warrants some experimentation... Thank-you for the tip!
I had the idea for this sort of method but never got a chance to test it out. I was going to use plastic wrap instead of a glove but your way is much more refined and manageable
I'm sure plastic wrap could be used to get some cool effects as well, you should give it a shot!
What a brilliant method! Love it
Great idea, looks like a very useful technique. Thank you for sharing 👍

What a great idea. I never would have considered this.
This is great. Gonna try it for some Death Company
This is amazing!

This guy hobbies. Great video! I'm sure you'll get the audio on the next one.
Super clever. Great ingenuity. Go Aussies!
Hey! thanks for posting this video after I already butchered mine with crappier tabards! LOOOOOOl
Brilliant method
This is amazing! I have always struggled with sculpting nice tabbards.
Bugger the only problem is I have to wait until tommorow to start on them.

Thank you! And thanks for the tips :) I'll have to chalk this one up to a rookie mistake, I'll make sure to boost the volume next time.
@@gock0w976 No probs! I'm looking forward to seeing what other sculpting tips n' tricks you have :D
Great method, as a headphone user, I like the audio level I must say...
now this is a top tier trick! Subbed. I will definitely be trying this :D

Thanks so much! Let me know how you go with it.
And I went down that same youtube rabbit hole haha, but it seemed easiest to just call it a tabard.
Cool, thanks for making the video. I don't have a use in mind yet, but something to add to my tool set for the future!
Wow. Good tips. TY my guy.
This... is... amazing!
This is incredible!
Damn that worked so well fricking awesome
This is a great way to do this, I shall be using it!
Now that's creative!
BRILLIANT!
Awesome trick man ! :)
Freaking genius, subbed. I don’t even need to make a tabbard
très bonne idée ..... bravo
This is genius 👏👏👏👏👌👍😊.
Amazing!! Thank you!
This is great 👍
This just seems like more work then actually sculpting it.
Fantastic idea!
Very clever nice work.

You could ziptie the waist and the neck? I'm gonna try it.
you are genious!
Wow, this is pretty nuts. Have you done capes like this? Would watch a like a cape video
I have indeed! I will be putting out a capes video soon.
this is genius!
Lmfao you’re a bigger hobbier than me, that’s for sure. What an awesome idea though! Looks amazing.
Can you please do a showcase or painting guide? Love your vids!
Thanks so much! Absolutely, what would you like to know how to paint?
@@gock0w976 The Black Armor, as I found myself struggelling quite a bit with painting it, and yours looks absolutely stunning
I wonder if this could be extended to robes and hoods? Maybe if broken into steps... 🤔
Great technique ! A shame with the sound, but subtitles did the trick ;)
Genius!!!
Nice method, I like how your kind works you'd be one of those dangerous dudes in prison whom can build a gun from a bar of soap and a toothbrush lol
Thank you
Wow
WOW
Any latex free alternatives of nitrile won't work? I have a severe latex allergy

I hate how easy that is. All my time wasted trying to sculpt that shit
Great vid!
