I was wondering, is the Oppo Find N5 exactly the same as the Oneplus Open 2 regarding the network band or did they (or will) they change the network band for specific regions. If the Oppe Find N5 is exactly as the Oneplus open 2, they it would be cheaper to just buy the Oppo Find N5 because the network band and network hardware is the same. Unless i'm wrong. Maybe avarage dad can verify?
Went from the Galaxy Fold to Z Fold 2 to Z Fold 3, skipped Z Fold 4, and 5 because the changes I wanted didn't come. Then I went to the Pixel Fold, overheating annoyed me so I went to the Honor Magic V2, amazing hardware but lack of wireless charging and software annoyed me..Then moved to the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, love the software but the slow wired charging and wireless charging coil placement annoys me. Now I'm looking forward to the OnePlus Open 2, hopefully I like it 🤞
I Salute AD - OnePlus Open 2 all the way for followed closely by the Vivo Foldable. Agree that every year is not needed for an upgrade, history proves that right, every 18mths-24mths is great IMO
I noticed some errors in the information in this video so for anyone reading this, here are some corrections: -OnePlus Open and Oppo Find N3 launched in October 2023, so it has not been 2 years, but will be 1.5 years since the original Open launched when the Open 2 comes out -Sources directly from Oppo have officially claimed that these phones will, in fact, be the thinnest flagship foldable on the market, so it will be thinner than the Honor Magic V3. OPO2 is expected to be under 9.3 mm (V3 thickness), not 9.6 mm as this video claims
Waiting for this one..a highly anticipated device. The open is still one of the best foldables around and in my opinion I find it more aesthetically pleasing than the Google ...but let's not kid ourselves in the foldable game there is no competition for OnePlus/Oppo in the western market.. those phones are made to compete with some other competitors that are pushing the boundaries and limits in the foldable space. I'll break it down for you You're essentially getting a phone that is competing for the throne in another market come to the western market and have the red carpet laid out for it to walk up and sit in their throne lol... there's levels to the game 🔥🔥✨
The cameras are not looking like an upgrade. Not sure where you got your rumors from but the main camera will either stay the same or move to a 1/1.56" sensor and both the ultrawide and periscope will use a jn5 or similarly sized sensor.
OnePlus open is a great phone but since update to 15, the multitasking on big screen is playing up e.g. WhatsApp floating screen you cannot type message unless you fully open the app...any ideas?
Hey AD!! Cannot wait for this phone!! Do we know if it will actually have triple speakers? All images seem to indicate a dual stereo speaker set up which would be a disappointment if true
@AverageDadOfficial it's just the way they made it out to be, people expect it to be under 9mm. Not that I'm being hard, I'm getting it either way to upgrade from my Open

I'm okay with the global release being delayed. I had a massive car repair bill and need time to rebuild my savings account. (I don't want to miss out on any trade-in deals OnePlus offers.) This is likely going to replace both my Z Fold5 and Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
Appreciate the info! As an Honor Magic v3 owner, I do like the weight/thinness, but I find the screen ratio pretty terrible for media. I'll be getting a thin and light candy bar phone next and waiting for a tri-fold to get a better media consumption device. Fwiw, imo OnePlus Open did not live up to the camera hype. Hopefully, the Open 2 will be better.
Great video, thank you for taking the time to post it. Good to hear on the stylus function, another tech review (greggles) said it wouldn't have stylus productivity. Will the stylus be more readily available this time around? Last question.....what kind of trade-in value will my OnePlus open fetch? I will be ordering the oneplus open 2 as soon as it comes out. Thanks again!
I've been looking forward to the OPO2 for a long time. The lack of wireless charging was the biggest (but not only, see below) thing putting me off upgrading my ZFold3. Hardware looks amazing However, having not owned an Oppo or a OnePlus phone can you please tell me what their SOFTWARE upgrading schedule is like? One thing that keeps me with my ZFold3 is that the security updates appear within weeks of the new month and the major Android version upgrades (excluding this latest OneUI7 / Android 15 update which seems to be really slow) have been the fastest out there apart from Google. What are Oppo and OnePlus like for these?
i already have the oneplus open 1, and i REALLY HAVE the new version (2) ,I don't know, if you know, if OnePlus is going to accept my current phone as part payment, to renew it for the new version, like Samsung does, which gives excellent prices for the device you currently have, accepting it as part payment so you can buy the new version, is it possible that OnePlus will do that too???
Shout out from New York Been using Note series since First Galaxy Note Samsung has no competition in United States, that is why it's getting boring no innovations Samsung is becoming an iPhone in Android world Planning to switch to a folding phone but waiting till they make it with 6.8 inch front screen minimum Average Dad, Start a GoFundMe and let's gather money and create Galaxy z fold 6 style folding phone with 6.8 inch front screen I'll be the first one to donate
Wireless charging sucks. I have it on my Note 10+ and older S8+ since 2017 and I've used it maybe twice. It's doesn't always align, is slow, ie takes about 4 hours to charge. Its handy to have I guess if u run out of power and have no cable and someone has a phone with charging, but that has never happened to me. Faster charging is way more beneficial. Plus everyone uses usbc now anyway and that's available everywhere.
The N5/OPO2 are releasing less than half a year past the original launches from the predecessors. They're not waiting an extra year out of some principled stance about yearly iterations. If that were true it'd be launching late October. Yearly upgrades are fine, just don't buy every year. People who complain about yearly releases need to learn some self control. The consumer market isn't all in sync. People are upgrading, changing and entering markets every day.
@AverageDadOfficial The open launched at the end of October. I ordered mine on launch day. The latest date for the OPO2 is ALMOST a "year and a half". Not even close to "nearly two years".
This is the Phone I've been waiting patiently for!
Me to, can wait
Same bro
It will be the best foldable
Same hare, bit I'm starting to lose my patience!
I haven't been this excited for a device in a long time.
Looking forward to it. I am not holding out as I have enough foldables but I like what Oppo is doing the last couple of months.
Would you like to gift me one lol; I never owned one..
Love the contents bro keep up the good work

Does that mean they will release a newer stylus and will it be readily available only for markets where find n5 is sold?
Will stylus come with? Our will it be easier to buy I bought the previous stlyus from your shop 😊
i stock the stylus, sold over 100! no it will not come with it
Do you have any news on the upcoming Vivo X Fold 5 Pro ?
Really looking forward to this one and no shock that the world wide release will lag a little behind. Reviews are going to be interesting!

Very well said, my friend.
Exactly, the west can no longer compete with China in technological innovations within the same budget spectrum.

Do you mean you can’t write a message from the notification pane?
What happened to the Oppo find N4?
The Chinese have a superstition about the number four. It sounds like the word for death.
unlucky number in China
Dolby Atmos?
Wait...can i trade my 25 ultra for this on your store??
Hey AD!! Cannot wait for this phone!! Do we know if it will actually have triple speakers? All images seem to indicate a dual stereo speaker set up which would be a disappointment if true
Damn I was starting to believe it would be the thinnest or at least 9.2 or 9.3mm. Still very excited.
How do you know it's 9.6mm?
I'm just waiting here to give OP my money for this phone!
CEO of OPPO confirmed device will be thinner than the V3 on Twitter btw
did he say that specifically or did he say thinnest foldable available globally?
@@AverageDadOfficialsame thing lol
9.6mm is pretty disappointing after all of that marketing.
?? some people are hard to please i guess

@@alexle1935it won't be 9.6mm. It's less than 4mm when unfolded so expect close to 9mm folded
Sounds fantastic
Put me down for one the OPPO find n5 global is specs great and as usual your vids are great 👍

So excited for this and absolutely stoked to get my phone from you man!! Buzzing!!
Legend!
Do you think we'll be able to trade in the original OnePlus open for the number two?
with oneplus? of course
The open 2 will win me over if it has features worth upgrading from my Magic V2 (thin, Qi2, lots of RAM...) as I can actually buy that it locally.
My second favorite foldable maker

Wow... the OnePlus Open 2 is going to be THAT delayed, eh? That stinks!! 😢

Glad it was helpful!
No mention, of a bigger battery 6000mah and if like the Apex going to see 1tb version. Sad It promised to be released in q1.
What size battery you reckon it will have mate ? Really hope it's the global version of Oppo N5 😊
5900mah
@AverageDadOfficial Decent that mate ...Do miss having a fold phone..Keep a look out for sure
Some say 5900 some say 6000
5600mah confirmed.
I'll be buying my first foldable.
Im getting probably $50 for my oneplus open trade in because they repaired it and it got dead pixels 2 months later. But im excited for the 2/N5.
I am super pumped for this device!
I just hope the OPO2 gets better colors like the Oppo does.
2 years is the good cyclus,we dont need facelifts ,we need new Innovation ,when we dock 2k for a phone.

Yes I'm sure they will. I have the OnePlus Open as well and OnePlus currently offered me £660 as a trade-in against the OnePlus 13.
Fold 6 is getting traded in for this one! I can't wait to give OP a try! Love Sammy but it's time...
Mike is on fire uploading content 👍 keep it up lad. And yes I agree with oppo vivo choices and upgrades 2 yearly
