@@swampwhiteoak1 Love your username. White oaks are closed cell, which is unique, but also, Whitetails love the acorns. Believe it or not, swamps are common in northern Wisconsin forests. What is your location?
You are very fortunate to have a good father who cares about you and is interested in you. Always be good to him. When something goes wrong, I would certainly want your Dad on my side. He looks like he could handle anything with ease. Please feature your Dad in videos, I bet he is very interesting and fun. That tea kettle is beautiful - so many stories to tell.
I hope you guys have a beautiful spring up north. Thank you for taking the time to make and post a video. I love your content so please keep it coming. Much love from Utah.
Hey Andrew,.... Loved this video. It was a great reminder of real life in a weird time in this world. We look forward to every video that you post. That Chaga is a great drink! Thanks for sharing.
Since watching this video, I have purchased Chaga through Amazon both chunks and powdered. I like the powdered as I just sprinkle it in on top of my coffee grounds in the morning. As someone with a heart condition, I can tell you that when I drink Chaga, the swelling in my legs goes down considerably !! I also have to take blood thinners. I have found that using Chaga improves my blood flow and also helps me to think more clearly. I cannot thank you enough for brining this wonderful fungi to my attention Andrew. I owe you a LOT !!!
Wondering what you been up to. Always good to see a new video from the North. Nice haul of chaga and some nice eating fish. Good to see the knife out and about as well ; ) Rudy sure is getting big!
Great video Andrew! Awesome chaga haul. Glad to see all is well. I could smell that pike frying all the way here in Ontario 😁 Take care and enjoy that bow!
Another great video. Chaka is harder to find but I’ll be keepin an eye out for it. Rudy is coming along nicely. Be retrieving beavers and ducks in no time👍👍
Andrew.....thank you for helping with my husband's sanity during this crazy time of COVID. I had to teach him how to like and share to keep your content coming! Thanks for the laughs and entertainment!
What's up Andrew Glad to see you're doing well was wondering what you were up to Great video nice to see your dad and Rudy is getting so big Take care look forward to the next upload
Seeing you and your Father just chillin having fun is so Awesome . I say hello to ur mom and hope to see your summer unfold with Great things to come like big Catchs !
I was just wondering how you were doing up in the Wild North, man! Timing perfect. Chaga - I've got some and I'm putting the kettle on now you've reminded me.
Great to see you again Andrew wow seems a long while back you got that wolf day after the river stopped, she stays froze up there for a long while :) Rudy's looking good, great day with Farther. Stay safe bro.
I also pick Chaga up here in the north coast... I’ve read that picking it any time other than during the middle of winter yields only a fraction of the nutritional value. It will regenerate itself if at least a third of the fungus is left on the tree.
I'm thinkin Rudy is gonna be a good one! You guys are gonna be making memories together for a while, just make sure to always video your adventures. Love your stuff, keep em coming
Howdy WildNorth and Dad! I am very happy that Rudy worked out for you. Nothing like walking in the woods with a rifle for protection (mostly from wildlife I hope). Yall be serious! Great video youngin, take care.
$20 per gram....thats weed dude. I buy 333 gram bags for $50. But now summer is here I will go into the Manitoba forest and harvest my own. Great for covid -19 prevention plus it really is great for you nutritionally. Vitamins galore!!!! Plus melatonin in case you need help with sleep. Love the chaga....#chagawarrior!!!!
I used to pick lots of Chaga and give it away as a possible cancer cure. As soon as you can after picking it, start cutting it into very small chunks, while its corky like. Wait more than a day, its a bitch to cut up. Happy to see your back.
This channel has made me wanna start trapping here in the great plains. Always been interested jn trapping but never knew where to start. Just started watching you channel awhile back and its awesome to see how things are up north. Beautiful country glad you share videos with us. Man ice just melted up there? Down here in Oklahoma i cant wear nothing but shorts man. Stay safe andrew up there glad to hear from you and rudy
Love your videos Andrew everyone is an adventure every morning I get up look at my cell phone for a wild North video hoping to watch a new video again like always another awesome video keep them coming man
Hey Andrew, if you dry the chaga after you have tea it will be the best fire starter you can have . A tiny spark will burn long and hot. Good for mosquito repellant too, cheers from Calgary.
Hey, Andrew. Another great adventure in the North. As you're aware, archers are full of advice. I've been shooting a couple years or so now, so I'm in the intermediate category. I have several bows, and they all have their quirks. One thing that helps to even them all out from an accuracy standpoint is drawing the arrow back to just under my eye so I can kinda, in effect, sight down the arrow. That helps to keep me generally on target even if I switch bows in the middle of a session. Also, trying to keep the same general nock point with each bow so the arrow doesn't fly too high or too low. It seems to have more effect than a person might think, so it pays to take some care with it. I also gotta say that my general economical "do-it-all" Samick Sage works about as good as any bow I've ever shot. I've had several, and only one of the Sages, a 35 pounder, had an annoying vibration and noise. The rest are generally quiet, reliable, rugged, and accurate. Great value, IMHO. And finally, if you can, get some aluminum arrows. I started out with some carbon fiber arrows that were too stiff for my weight of bows and my accuracy really suffered. By accident, I picked up some Easton 1616 aluminum arrows from a good archery store near here (they already had them fletched and with target points), and I gotta say my accuracy improved greatly. I've pretty much abused those arrows, and honestly, they are still almost as good as new after 2 years. They're pricey but worth it. Make sure you get an experienced dealer to help you match the arrows to your bow weight, because it makes a big difference in accuracy. There's a somewhat complicated chart you have to use. Easton makes extremely high quality aluminum arrows in many grades of stiffness and can match your bow weight exactly. Those arrows are tough too. Many times I've accidentally shot mine through a plywood backstop and have been able to remove them and keep on shooting with no damage to the arrows. Have fun.
Great to see you back, seems like forever since your last video. Hope all is well in the Wild North, getting hot down here in the South. Take Care, Stay Safe, Be Well, Mac from Georgia
I always carry a small axe when I’m Chaga hunting. Makes it super easy to break it off the trees . That’s a hell of a haul of Chaga for sure . You’ll be able to drink on that for a year !
Thanks for the tea. I forgot about Chaga. You should sell it on Ebay , Harvest direct. AND I could use some of that Birch syrup too Haha. Little 4oz jars, That's what they do with fire weed honey in Alaska. Good on ya man , Really enjoy your channel
Joshua, where you at in Northern WI. I am over in the Northeastern corner Florence Co. Town of Fence. Just started watching Andy's videos tonight 13 Aug. 2020. first one was berry Bannock and Pike. I'll have to try that Bannock for my self.
Wow I cant believe how much chaga you guys have up there - I am lucky to find one pound per year down in southern CT- one tree out of hundreds upon hundreds
Rudy is a great dog, its fun to watch a dog see something hes never seen before. My Eve watched me watch UA-cam for a long time. So I pulled up some videos of dogs playing for her on my phone and turned the sound up. She went nuts jumping around and barking at it. I shared a video every night for about a week, then it hasn't excited he much any more. Gearing up to go hog hunting when I get a new carb for my Honda Forman. Plan to take her with me. She's a Bouvier herd dog, maybe she will see dad likes those smelly critters and go out to herd some to me. Taking my shotgun with slugs so I can shoot any I see, but mainly plan to use my hog snares to get them with, and the gun for dispatch.
Andrew how bout you put the Chagall in a sock. To keep it together while it steeps. I guess probably a clean sock would be best so it doesn’t taste too strong. Glad to see one of your videos brother and Rudy is a beaut
Hey Andrew! Good to see a video from you, pal. Glad you, Rudy and your dad got some cabin and woods time together. I've got a little bit of chaga, m'be time to make up a little tea myself this evening. Might be able to train Rudy's nose to the smell of chaga and get him to help you with the hunt for it. They're happiest when they're doing a job for you. He's getting big, quickly. He's a good boy, that one. Nice to see you're able to spend some time with your father in the spring.
