Just made these peppered black bear backstrap burgers Uncle Gary style from black bear I got the other day here in Alaska, dammmmm good burgers I tell ya! Thanks Andrew and Uncle Gary!
Awesome brotha!! The best thing ever is people learning a little something from my videos. I am pleased you tried it you my buddy just made my day! Andrew P Stanley
I love an old wood fired stove and oven! I was living on an old farm, homestead property, three years ago. The pioneer family that built the place bought over thirty thousand acres and built the three story, 18 room, over ten thousand square foot home in 1887. I have to try and stay on topic here and get to the stove. There are, or were while I lived there, two woodstoves, one pellet stove, one huge fireplace, and an antique wood fired oven/stovetop that had all sorts of covers to move and adjust heat or shove more wood down inside the thing. Several drawers maintained various temperatures to keep food warm or do more baking/cooking/roasting. This video brings back memories I'm really enjoying. If you close your eyes and listen there's a great smelling bear burger with bacon almost ready!
Always like this one. Decided to watch again. That knife sharpening technique was a new one for me. A little worried with the onions for a minute but Uncle came in with the save and now you got deliciousness.
Success is not always measured by the kill. Great food prepared by a competent chef , really helps make for memorable experience. Wish I was there with you guys !! Keep the videos coming.
The White Bear looked like the Spirit Bears in BC, they are beautiful and some had like a blue tinge to their fur. Mostly i loved Uncle Gary hes a legend! Id like to see a video of Andrew and his Father, featuring Uncle Gary back at Home base, making smoked meat!!!
Uncle Gary is an absolute magician with food in your guy's camp ! Amazing man with amazing talent , and I've seen a lot of camp & lodge chefs as a African big game guide & outfitter ! Another great vid , keep the coming Andrew ! All the best there , all round guys .
Outstanding. Thank you, that burger was PERFECT. Need to see more of your Uncle cooking. I am usually the camp Queen and do all the cooking , that was great
Enjoying the videos got into bear hunting 3 years ago they buggered up deer hunting never had bears before in southern manitoba seen up to 7 at one time on our farm son toke a 475 lb skull scored 19 1/2 very proud boy good luck be safe
Yup uncle Gary cooking and Andrew stories😃! Awesome vids and antics all the way! Love your channel and stuff Andrew, but uncle Gary though, damn that raises the camp chef to a whole different level! Got to show my 81 year old father in law, who is our hunting Italian camp chef. He’s great, but not quite Gary level, wow!!!
Great video Andrew man there must be alot of bear in your area didn't see that many in last years video plus that food looks awesome. Keep em coming can't wait for the next video.Stay safe and enjoy the life.
Try grinding bacon ends you can get cheap with any wild game burger. 1 lb bacon ends to 3 lbs wild game burger. Holds together well, still moist, but not greasy
Aanii, greetings, i checked out a few of yer vids, had ta subcribe, i'm anishnabe from southern ontario, them's some ace vids , i'm a traditional archer, i use a longbow to hunt with, i luv the challenge of a longbow, anywho, i'll be checkin out more of yer vids, keep'em comin, shakyjake out.
Hey Andrew, nah date s dont mean much when you are having fun eh! Uncle Gary seems to b having fun 2. great show! How much for a bear burger and a double double ahahha
Bear 1: Did you get a bite of that 2-legs who shot that arrow at us? Bear 2: Nope! But I'll be keeping an eye out for him...and his buddies, too! Bear 1: Definitely!
That is one hell of a camp you guys are operating there, I've never seen one with such high quality meals. What is the ratio of paying guests/hunters to people working for KPL outfitters there with you? Seems like there is a few workers for each hunter which is incredible and would make for an even better experience for the guests . I'm guessing there may be a few people there like family and friends who are just there to have fun and are not among the staff or am I mistaken? If so, I've always found it's great to have more people around to shoot the shit with at night and tells stories and jokes with.
Uncle Gary is ripe with fresh, interesting content Andrew. Fuck that burger looked good! I'm not even hungry, but after watching this...I want to fire up the grill. I really hope you tap into Uncle Gary for future videos. Looking forward to day 3 my brother.
Great vids there Andrew, really enjoyed watching. I’m just as bad with the F word too but not good for younger kids watching. Other than that, well f ing done. Also get that man a meat grinder.
back in the day 1700's, they would mince meat like your uncle then add rendered kidney fat(tallow) and spices to make sausages ...it is freagin' awesome. have you ever rendered moose kidney fat? that burger holy moly i'm starving now
You know... The Seminole Indians in the Everglades used Alligator Fat to keep the mosquitos off of them. I wonder if Bear Grease would work the same way? When bugs are as bad as they are where you are, anything is worth a shot. It would smell like Bear and not bug spray, so the bear shouldn't alert to that.
@@LonerNomad Well the Cherokee Indians uses it without any problems. I think you're talking about bear piss. Wildlife gets triggered by pee and poop, so don't wear any of that and you'll be alright. Besides what would you be in the woods without a gun or bow?
I want to book a trip to the camp just to eat Uncle Gary's gourmet meals he prepares....he is an amazing chef!!
Uncle Gary makes me hungry.....Peace ,,,,from Toronto....🇨🇦

Uncle Gary and that stove are fucking awesome!
How do you keep the bears out of Uncle Gary's Kitchen?
Bear 1: Did you get a bite of that 2-legs who shot that arrow at us?
Bear 2: Nope! But I'll be keeping an eye out for him...and his buddies, too!
Bear 1: Definitely!
Ha ha I have bigger teeth then the bears I can bite harder
White bears also known as spirit bears are sacred to natives, they are also quite rare. I'm glad you didn't get her.
Love the content-- really user pleasant and lots to see!
If uncle Gary ever decides to publish a cook book let me know, I want one
Man that looks good. Youre unclr gary is the man
Way to go, Gary (from Bourbon Country...Kentucky)
and I guess there's only one way to get to try that burger ... )
Travis looks like he could run down a bear. So it's a fair fight between him and a bear. Even hand to hand.
Fuck Yeah ! Great series ! Well played lads !
Is that wood knocks in the background?
Made the smoked pulled pork with cheese buns and homemade BBQ sauce. Tell Uncle Gary excellent.

Has Bear camp been hit by the fires?
Hey no it has not I am the kid in the video and the only fire that has been there was before we started to go there
Great vids there Andrew, really enjoyed watching. I’m just as bad with the F word too but not good for younger kids watching. Other than that, well f ing done. Also get that man a meat grinder.

Uncle Gary's a catch.
