I love comics mythologies because often if you get invested enough it's rewarding to have a giant storytelling compendium to escape yourself to. With Marvel I like to start at a silver age no.1 and work my way up until some mid-80's and event/tie-in related material to enjoy the continuity of earth-616. I'm yet to breach alternative modern universes, but I imagine once I finish school and get a better job, I'll have more time to enamour myself in exciting fantasy comic fiction. At the moment I'm trying to read more mature titles like biographies and political works but If I'm being honest for a second, my ardent naivety remains forever and comics are the heart of that boyish wonder. Nice library update!

Amazon has a tripod for $20 from its basics line that is good. I use it. Add a phone holder to it and you’re golden!
When I got this one it was the only one that was $20 or less. I look now and I’ll be damned there are several tripods as tall as me for the same price. I used to have one that was about four feet but lost it in a move.
I don’t use a phone to record, though. Canon Rebel 🤙

Don’t know what you edit on . But most programs have stabilisation built in so you can get rid of a lot of camera shake without the need for a gimble. The stabilisation on Davidci resolve is very good. Cool collection as well👍
I did use that when editing but it looked WAAAAAY worse.

How are the custom oversized books done? Is it art blown up from a smaller compilation or are they made up of oversized hardcovers?

Blown up digital pages printed out and bound. I’ve gotten them from eBay so idk where or the exact info, but you can tell it’s done that way because of light pixelization on some art. They’re super solidly put together
I'm just curious during the Marvel walkthrough I never saw any Nova. Richard Rider or Sam Alexander. Was the character not interesting to you or did Marvel never put out any good collections that you could get? I also figured that Gotham Central would be placed with your Batman collection and to a lesser extent Grayson. I guess that's just my OCD with someone else's collection coming out. That's a fantastic collection and well organized!
The DnA Nova series is collected entirely across the War of Kings trilogy omnis. I enjoyed the Sam Alexander series well enough, but never enough to buy the paperbacks. If Marvel were to release an Omnibus I probably would jump on the collection though at least for the oversized artwork.

Yeah pretty much. I have some room for growth right now but usually I have in mind stuff that I want to sell at any given time so I can continue to make room

I think they’re only cool from the novelty standpoint of reading the story behind the albums if you’re a Coheed and Cambria fan, but I wouldn’t recommend them otherwise. I don’t know anyone who isn’t already a fan of the albums that has been a fan of the comics

Great collection! Where did you buy your shelves? I use Kallax currently because all the traditional style book cases I’ve used have been unable to support the weight of a full row of omnibus/OHC. It didn’t look like you had any issues with shelves bowing in the video.

~90%. More often than not I’ve already read the stuff I buy in other formats or digitally

Please tell me you get a discount or buy these at cheaper prices. I would love to have an extensive collection like this if I ever get sufficient and surplus funds to provide for such a ridiculous hobby.
