- Awesome 3 Track Railroad Crossing For CSX & Norfolk Southern with Railfan House and all kinds of trains! 2nd Railroad Crossing is for me! Would you live by these gated railroad crossings on main line railroads? We see a long double stack intermodal train and a huge intermodal & auto racks train running near Carlisle, Ohio and Miamisburg, Ohio. During the daylight the CSX line gets a train just about every hour while the NS line gets maybe 2 or 3. CSX uses 160.230 and NS uses 160.980 as their main frequencies. These and 452.9375 for EOT are the only frequencies that you need to Railfan this area. Filmed February 17, 2022.

As a born and raised Yooper I would often hear two different pronunciations of "chook". Sometimes the way you said it and other times it was pronounced "tuke" (rhymes with juke).
When I was going to Sinclair Community College in Dayton, one of the gravel parking lots was right up against the NS/CSX lines where they parallel each other in Dayton. The big bridge going over the Great Miami River was right there was well so I would usually park next to the tracks, have lunch and watch the trains go by.
That’s what I do now but in Butler pa we got the B&P and BLE tracks parrel to each other and a McDonald’s nearby

That would be cool spot for a railfan to live. It has a nice front porch. No telling what that graffiti means. One time I seen a well done painting of Marvin the martian on a box car.

I would definitely love to live here. This crossing is so cool. If I had that teal colored house I would sit on the porch and watch trains all day, except In cold weather, then I would have to watch from the window. That second train was going so slow, the autoracks probably had cars and trucks. Hope you will come back to this when the weather's warmer. Go to Florida, you'll find cool stuff down there. Growing up had family that lived 90 miles southwest of Chicago and great grandma's neighbor across the street was the Rock Island main out of Chicago and from being knee high to a grasshopper to about 23 years old that was exactly what I'd do. Granted after March 1980 until great grandma left this world in 84 action got very sparse with seeing what I would later find out was the the last return the rolling stock back to the yard run after the short lived Elgin Joliet & Western operation of the RI to Peoria by the Elgin Joliet & Eastern shortly after the Rock gave it up and one Chessie System freight on what would be the last trip to visit great gram.

Going slow because two locos on a long intermodal with no DPU(s). They also might watch your videos and decided to take your suggestion to slow down. Either that or they saw you coming and said "let's slowdown and see if JT will still shoot the entire video in the snow?". Course everybody here knows that answer. Thanks JT!
Be careful feeding Norfie human food like chicken wings. If there's any onion or garlic in the sauce, that's poisonous for cats.
You're always complaining about being cold. Get some heavy weight flannel shirts. Zip that coat all the way up to your neck so the wind won't blow down your neck, wear a hat and pull the hood up over the hat so the wind won't blow down the back of your neck. I think you will feel a lot warmer.

Worked on a tie gang for three years. Stayed in a bunk car on sidings next to the tracks. Trains went by almost every hour of the day. Only when a train was late or early would it wake anyone up.
Too much graffiti on trains these days.

I always look carefully at the inscriptions on the containers transported by the trains that you film. There is of course a lot of diversity. Some caught my attention, perhaps because the logo is very conspicuous, and also because I have observed them in almost all container trains. These are containers from Maersk, a major shipowner operating worldwide and a company from Denmark.

They all three mean the same thing JT. That means that some people believe they have the right to deface public or private property. I worked at the railroad in the 70s, and you NEVER saw the crap back then that you see today. DISGRACEFUL!! (…but sometimes artistic)

Love your work... but please don't feature the grafitti as that only encourages them and all it is is vandalism. Think how much it would cost our railroad friends to clean that up. I think I said before that the penalty should be a year of DAILY working on cleanup - at the vandal's expense.

looks like they sold that house, cute house everything on one floor nice outbuilding, close to the tracks. unless you like to sleep, lol, all that graffiti best to not know what it means it usually is derogatory, disgusting or immoral. those car racks would make a great chicken coop/run combo, just a few open doors with hardware cloth and your good to go. lol. how many chicken do you think I could house in that without overcrowding the run? right now my chicken is really talking very loudly I can hear them due to the moniter I have in the coop. maybe they are saying spring spring where art thou? we want to free range. please come quickly. perhaps?

The Miamisburg old Coal Power Plant probably will be turned into that industrial steak restaurant a cincinnati-based company is planning on turning into an industrial steak restaurant it is being cleaned up by the EPA Grant to clean up the site so it can be turned into a duster steak restaurant that's what all the construction equipment there was full

My brother lived close to the tracks like that teal house; the vibration would unscrew the light bulbs over time until they wouldn't turn on

Anyway to find out where the trains originated and where terminate? I got a new Yooper hat recently and it is awesome.
After watching for around 12 months Im finally getting my had around the fact that each rail company owns its own set of tracks. Here in Australia all the rails are owned by either the State or Federal Govt. and rail use time is some how leased to the rail companies on an as used basis .John Keane.
If a rail fan didn’t buy that house they may be a little short on brain power
