I can't drink an old fashioned with small ice cubes. Gotta have the single large ice cube. I stir it neat for about 30 seconds and then pour over large ice. I also use vanilla bean simple with chocolate, walnut, and orange bitters. Smoke it up too. That my friends is an incredible old-fashioned 😉
Omg Stfu Suddenly people are experts at drinks You ever been to a Olive Garden and Applebees and seen people make an old fashioned with round our cube ice? Just Stfu and drink you shit
Who puts crushed ice in old fashioned it should not be diluted probably a single large cube of ice and a barspoon of sugar with a dash of angostora with 2 ounce of good whiskey
Couple things. 1. It's not crushed ice it's regular ice. And 2. this tutorial was meant for people who don't have anything to make drinks at home. Including the ability to have a single large cube in their freezer.
@@Lui_Fern kk I understand. But I still prefer using chilled glass and pouring as neat instead of crushed ice. So it is boozy. I am one of the trash who don't take spirits diluted
It is NOT an old fashioned without a Luxardo cherry. Choice of ice also makes this NOT an old fashioned. Anyone would send that drink back. Wouldnt pay for it. Sorry
😂😂😂😂 first off you're wrong on both counts. There is not cherry is a real classic old fashioned. And two this wasn't for a bar. The title says "WITHOUT any bar tools" so that the implications is if you want to make an old fashioned at home or at a party you still could. Lol but hey believe what you want 👍
good video but the audio sounds like a rick and morty interdimensional tv bit
😂
Hahaha
Is spilling the ice everywhere required, or is that just a trick of the trade?
Nah you learn that masterful trick after a few years of doing it 😅😂😂😂
it's the at home method
The best thing I ever bought for my home old-fashioneds was a $2 square ice cube tray from Walmart
Thanks, this is exactly what I was looking for. It shouldn't take 10 minutes to explain
Perfect! Not sure why so many are hating. Its WITHOUT bar tools 😂
I use 2 to 1 simple syrup.
2 dashes orange bitters.
2 dashes of angustora.
Woodford.
Orange peel.
Cherry.
That's not a bad recipe! I like that!
I'm an old fashioned purists, it's the little grits of sugar that really complete this cocktail imho.
Ask any hard-core old fashioned guys.
Luxardo cherry to be specific 👍🏻
Sounds delicious. I’m new to bourbon and have been trying a new bottle every week. Just finished a bottle of woodford and it’s definitely in my top 3!

Couple drips of almond extract and vanilla taste good in there also
Nice...but i have calamansi limes (out of oranges), will that work?
Where's the cherry 😢
Followed you to the tee, even spilling ice lol! I used Woodford Reserve, what’s your bourbon of choice?
Like woodford too, but i usually use makers mark, or eagle rare 10 yrs( my favorite for old fashioned)
Dear lord that’s a lot of ice 🫣

So no one is mad about a glass full of ice in an old fashioned
The original old fashioned was with normal ice not those fancy ice balls
@@oisin3495 when did I ever say anything about the shape of the ice… please read more
@@NickFromTheSouth you drink your old fashions neat or something? that's definitely not standard...
Ya like what 😂 I use my diamond milder ice cubes or an ice ball. 1 single large ice “cube” is all you need.

Can you use any bourbon such as Jim bean bourbon or does it have to be a specific bourbon
I’d say experiment with whatever you like. At worst, you have a mediocre drink, and at best, you have a very tasty drink.
You’re the male equivalent of the “two shots of vodka” lady
How? He added a shot of whiskey from a shot glass lol

Is bourbon whiskey? Which one are you using here?
Four roses is a bourbon
Always Bourbon for an old fashioned
No cherry??

wuts the point of squeezing the orange peel ovr the drink if no juice comes out
The peels of citrus fruit contain a ton of oils. These oils alter flavor, smell and taste
Bartenders now a days are so trying hard to be fancy that they forget how to make proper balanced (scientific) cocktails.
