- Today I have four Old Fashioned Cocktail Recipes you must try at least once in your lifetime. By now you should know I am a big fan of boozy and strong cocktails. So, when comes to Old Fashioned I want to try all versions available.
Today, I pick four of the Old Fashioned riffs I love a lot and I am sharing them with you so you can try them at home. I have something for everyone taste. You will find Port, Bourbon, Tequila, Rum, Almonds to name a few.

- 60ml / 2oz Flor de Cana Rum 7YO
- 15ml / .5oz Maple Syrup
- 2 dashes Angostura Aromatics Bitters
ALMOND OLD FASHIONED [tequila version]
- 60ml / 2oz Rooster Rojo Reposado Tequila
- 7.5ml / .25oz Agave Syrup
- 7.5ml / .25oz Amaretto Liqueur
- 2 dashes Orange Bitters
BRANDY OLD FASHIONED [Wisconsin Style]

Cheers, Rob. I was feeling the same about the Wisconsin OF but is actually very good. I’ll say it’s all depends on the Brandy you use. You can easily ruin the cocktail with a bad brandy.

Tried the almond old fashioned. The first iteration was too sweet for me so skipped the agave syrup in my second attempt. Perfectly balanced, tequila and almond flavour complimented each other so well. Thanks for sharing!

LOVE Old Fshioned riffs but maybe not Wisconsin style
I know it sounds strange and many people will backup, but when made proper and with the right brandy the Wisconsin OF is actually very good 👍😉

Nope, missing one thing from the Wisconsin to make it a true Wisconsin style: either a little lemon lime soda for an old fashioned sweet, grapefruit lime soda for an old fashioned sour, or club soda and lemon lime for press. Personally I go sweet myself.

I will try the almond old fashioned reminds me of the godfather.
What about orgeat?
Orgeat won't work as it's syrup and will make it so sweet. You can try it, but I won't recommend it.
