    Eliciting new ideas can be achieved through Motivational Interviewing (MI) - their basic process: OARS looks like this:
    (1) ask Open-ended questions; (2) Appreciate the client where they suggest an achievement; (3) Reflect back to them to show you've understood or to clear any misunderstanding if you haven't; and (4) Summarise every now and then to ensure mutual understanding. Thanks again Ajit - always great content in these videos.

    Thanks again, Ajit. I really enjoyed listening to this one and took plenty of notes. Deep listening, reading body language, eliciting new ideas, and intuition. I have written them down and will continue honing and sharpening these gifts. I appreciate you for shining your light and being a resource for me as I inspire and empower myself so that I can simply remind people of the essence. Thank you for simply being you and creating space for those on a similar path of personal growth and transformation! Have a wonderful day. - Cory

    Great thank you Ajit 🙏,How can we develop our intuition? And eliciting… some people they just made up their mind, and when I am trying to share reliable sources, a friend is not interested..
    is eliciting almost as advising or mentoring?

    • @mindvalleycoach
      @mindvalleycoach  2 роки тому +1

      Great questions, Cindy! Here are some articles you might find interesting for developing your intuition: www.evercoach.com/blog/spiritual-intelligence and www.evercoach.com/blog/how-to-tune-into-your-intuition-as-a-coach.
      Regarding what eliciting means, it's being able to help your clients have their own insights. When we advise or mentor, we are giving the answer. But when we coach and elicit insights, we are allowing the space for the other person to find their own answer which is a much more powerful way to help and transform someone. Maybe the question for your case is how can you change your approach, instead of giving information, what question can you ask so they reach their own insight? Thanks for sharing ❤

    My rituals to beeing able to be präsent, is finding a nice calm romm with birds tshirpin out there, a goog coffee, a big bottle of water and a absolutly clean desk and desktop...i can only be insidly präsent, if i am really outside präsent...so this is what works for me and of course no timestress, I allways need 30 Minute of calm, preparation and music :-)

    reading body language when face to face is much simpler than when online, how do you read body language online ? yes, we have to be keen in looking at gestures and the sound of coachee's voice but this is quite challenging when not used to ....so how ?

    • @mindvalleycoach
      @mindvalleycoach  4 роки тому

      Hi Junie! You are so right! Now that we've been forced to take our coaching online, we have to adapt to the new conditions. It is not as easy to read body language virtually as it is in person, so it requires us coaches to be much more present in the session and look at the small things. Pay the most attention to their posture, their eyes, head movements, and voice - things we can observe through the camera. It's a skill that will be honed with practice! This video can help further understand how to read body language: ua-cam.com/video/UV5VZfyfR6U/v-deo.html
      Thanks for asking! :)

    • @mindvalleycoach
      @mindvalleycoach  4 роки тому

      Some of these skills are easier to develop than others, it depends on each person. So don't worry if some are harder for you, the most important thing is to be conscious about it and patient - little changes go a long way! Keep up the good work :)
