Great video. I took a lot of notes and I liked your presentation of the material. I also like how you have put a 'structure' into our coaching sessions. I am a new coach but an old person of 61. I am so inspired by this amazing 'artform' of coaching. I am like a sponge that soaks up as much information as I can. Thank you for the learning. All the very best for you...
No matter at what stage of the coaching journey we may be at, there's always something to give and there's always something to learn. Your message is inspiring! We're so glad to be able to provide value for your journey. We're rooting for you! Thanks for sharing, Brett :)
Ajith your session was truly amazing and i have lot of clarity on how to move forward this journey. Thank you so much for creating the content and your delivery is just awesome !!
Thank you for that summary. In order to get a transformational coaching session I also use a critical element: the observer shift performed by the coachee. If you guide your client t see the same situation from a different perspective, a huge mindset change will appear
I've utilized this structure and part 1 has helped me greatly in determining how to guide the conversation with my clients!! Thank you for this video! I'm sending positive energy your way!

Thank you I will sure use this tomorrow! I have been using some of these questions but got a reminder of how important part 3 is, sometimes it gets forgotten or left out because I feel it's not appropriate or I feel insecure of the clients answers that they will say that the take way is none.
That is so true, many coaches focus only on part 2 when part 3 is just as important. Remember, if you work on honing your skills to deliver a solid part 2, there will always be a takeaway for the client. And if they still say they didn't have any, ask them what was missing. Maybe you'll discover you were focusing on the wrong problem the whole time and you'll both gain more clarity on how to move forward from there to keep supporting your client's journey. Either way, it's a win-win situation, so keep hanging in there! We're rooting for you :)
This is pure gold! Thank you so much for your help. As a coach, I naturally do most of these things, but it's nice to refine the craft. It truly is an art form in itself to fulfill this role and hold that space for transformation!
@@brigittel9997 Hello! I'm currently a coach for the multipotential persons. I help them discover their particularities, explaining their past, and then I propose to coach them in their new journey 😀
I coach managers to be more confident in speaking in meetings in English (when English is not their first language). They often lack the structures and vocabulary to express themselves clearly, and this is what they are looking for. So would your structure work in this kind of situation? It seems to me like you start every session asking them what they want to get out of it. Whereas till now I have always worked out a plan for 10 sessions based on an initial needs analysis chat with the client.
Great question, Emma! We suggest starting with that question to meet our clients where they are at and what they hope to get out of that conversation. In your case, as your sessions are already planned in advance to reach a specific goal, you can always use the starting to suggest the "topic of that session" and ask your client if they agree or there's something on their mind they want to share first. But do know this structure doesn't have to be a "box," it's about having some structure you can always follow which creates consistent results. if your current structure is achieving that, no need to change it ;) Thanks for sharing!
Unfortunately, we don't! But client homework doesn't have to be overly complicated. At the end of each coaching session, help your client set 1-2 actions they can take before the next session that will take them one step closer to their goal. And that should be enough ;)
I have a question I hope I can get some feedback on. I did a coaching course to get certified and the programme is designed to be completed in 16 sessions with each sessions containing an exercise you do with the client, i.e. anxiety removal, goal setting etc. Are there any coaches who only do "talk therapy" and not do specific exercises with clients?
Hi! That's a great question. Exercises (aka coaching tools and techniques) are great for clients and situations that need more visualizing, perspective shifts, out-of-the-box thinking... that sometimes just talking might not be effective enough to do. However, there are tools that are solely based on conversation like the art of powerful questions which is powerful enough, if used correctly, to elicit insights and aha moments. We believe every coach should find their own style: what works and resonates with them, and what doesn't, to create their own coaching methodology that creates results for their clients. But the only way to discover this is by trying different tools and models (like the 16 exercises your course is providing or other methodologies that are not based on them) and finding your signature style from that. We hope this answers your question and gives you some ideas! Let us know :) Thanks for asking.
@@mindvalleycoach So gooood! I’m currently taking a step forward by introducing exercises and visual tools to enhance my coaching Sessions especially with my group coaching !
.... OH... there is one down side to this video the background music (noise) is distracting and unnecessary ... We just want to HEAR him TALK>>> no background noise/music.
I agree. The message is powerful and does not need background music to make it interesting. It is just unnecessary, irritating noise. Love the video clips though.
Thanks for asking, Bartłomiej! We prefer using the term "we" instead of "you" because it gives clients the feeling that they're not alone, that "we" are "in this together" and that you as a coach will support them during the journey. This however, does not mean that the coach will do the work, but will hold them accountable. I hope this answers your question :)
